I saw them live in June in Saarbrücken Germany. For those who didn't get to see them live yet: The aligator/snarling sound in the recordings doesn't even come close to how it sounds in reality. It was a venue with around 1200 people, we stood in the very back and it resonated through the whole room and your body. I'm a vocalist myself and it was absolutely baffling. If you get the chance to go: GO. Never experienced vocals like that.
I've been listening to Metal for 41 years, I'm 55 now. I've been following this band since Misery Sermon came out back in 2015. Definitely one of the best bands ever in my opinion! They are awesome in a live setting! And they just keep getting better...

I like it too. Because IMO the mix is live so everything is more organic and “real” sounding, which makes things sound more raw. And the mix is still touched up, but a little more reverb which is softer on the ears. Also the kick drum mix is slightly less in the mix, so even the triggered sound of it makes it real sounding if not too loud. Also Alex vocal is one take centered in the mix. Makes it feel more real and organic.
I think it's because they compress their songs when they master them. They aren't the only metal band to do it's kind of a bummer when you listen to a song you really like but the best way to describe the sound is a mess. It feels like they just turn everything up to make it all louder but if all of it's louder then you've lost the impact. Without quiet there is no loud. When it's live they don't compress it so every strum and every chug has that *UMPH* to it.

Imagine how low you feel that you need to cry because someone else is getting all the attention you desperately need but you don't deserve it because you're a useless nobody so nobody is giving it to you. There is a visible guitar behind the vocalist, this is how hurt you are that you can't see or don't want to see
With previous STP live videos, it was *very* obvious that they were layering the studio version underneath the live recording. With this one, I couldn't tell. Might be all real, might not. In any case, it is beautiful and very close to perfection. Like even if the studio version is buried in the mix, that means they are all 99.9999% perfectly on time which is, you know, really frickin' impressive.

Was there second row!! It was so amazing but also really "brutal" in the crowd. You couldn't stand for one second at the same spot, except for the seconds between the songs. Wouldn't survive a concert like this for 2 hours😅

Best live vocals in metal history. My ears are still clapping. I was there and it was amazing. Alex powerful voice is one of the best experiences I had in a concert. If you like their music MUST see them live.
This was my first STP concert , it's been so amazing, words can't describe what I experienced at this day/evening. Whenever I there's a good opportunity I would go to another STP concert, I've been to three now and I enjoyed every single one of them! To upload the two songs from this concert really is priceless.
