Report: HIV high among Gauteng residents aged 50-54

A Human Sciences Research Council report has found that Gauteng has
recorded a high prevalence of HIV among residents aged between 50 and
54. The survey further suggests that an estimated 1 720 000 people were living with HIV in the province in 2022. This represents an insignificant 0.2% decline from the 1 780 000 reported in 2017. Public health advocate Dr Lethukwenama Letsoalo elaborates.
