My sister and I saw this in the theater when it first came out and we were DYING! Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock are like gold together. I would have loved to see them in another comedy together, maybe even a sequel to this movie would have been cool. Great reaction!
If you haven't seen it yet, I can't recommend Spy (2015) enough. It's my favorite Feig/McCarthy film by far (and I love em all). A beautifully executed, and brilliantly funny, homage to spy/espionage films, that subverts expectations and features a fantastic cast, delivering on every level. As wonderful as The Heat is, Spy elevates the game even more. A criminally underrated movie that remains one of my go-to comedic comfort films to this day.
Good movie, one of my best friends' mom was an extra in this film. She was the lady in the apartment building who dumps the bucket of water down the stairwell.
I was reading a book, and paused the movie when the phone rang. Of course it was at the scene where Changing leech covered bare butt is on the screen. My daughter walks in and started cracking up. I had no clue why til I looked at the TV. She's never gonna let me live that down.
Me and my boys saw this opening nite like it was a new fast and furious release. We were rolling start to finish to ride home to ten years later. Huge Sandy B fan whose her usual reliable hilarious self, but Melissa owns this movie. She is a one woman masterclass of improv. The Heat's still a smoke show of comedy a decade plus later.
Ben Falcone. In most movies Melissa appears in, she makes sure he has a cameo where they share a scene. They did in Spy, Bridesmaids, Identity Thief, even in Melissa's cameo in the fourth Thor film, he was with her.
I live in Austria, thus the movie was in german in the cinema. It was even funnier that way I am telling you xD the whole crowd laughed their ass off almost every minute

If you guys saw Back to the Future, the Police Captain is Biff. Guess we know how actor Thomas F. Wilson would've really look like in 1985, without being younger under heavy make up.

Another great Melissa McCarthy comedy film in this vein is Spy. One of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
