They used very little female vocals aside from Maxine's in their short lived music careers. But yes, as someone else noted, Maxine killed it on this track. But I also like her vocals on Build a Fire from The White Room though. Very smooth. Also, not a very subtle reference to their own little career in the final added verse here: "At 3 a.m. eternity rang, she knew what time was love. It was her, she said, who killed the JAMS, while listening to the sound, the sound of MU" Pure insanity, but pure legend. There will never be another like this duo.

Funny how a simple song with a good hook would rock out the truck. Heck we would actually stop and get out and dance on the side of the road. Thank God we were out in the country people now days would be thinking what are those kids on? It was fun! We would laugh when we would look up and see cows in a pasture when this song was on.

I sang this to my daughter Chanelle when she was a baby, it made her laugh, she is 23 yrs old today, but I just love listening to it, even if it was amended, it was a great song to sing to my girl, and she still remembers when I did sing it to her, but with the record playing lollll. Glad that Tammy was a great singer in my time, and my mother loved her also.

The great song of my childhood!!! I can feel the "energy flow" from its sound!!! But, am I the only one who hear "Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo child" guitar samples here? (with "wah" effect) I think this guitar and the singing of Maxine Harvey are the two GENIUS ideas that made this song hit the TOP.
But they ruined it replacing the vocals of the lead singer. What made that song so unique was the combination of days of techno music, Rap music and then along comes the vocals of a country icon as a lead singer with that amazing southern drawl. Probably that is more true than we think, but... the current 'style' of music is far different to what it was during KLF's reign. Of course, I do hope the younger generation will listen to KLF-era music and appreciate how good it is!
Ah... I did not think of that, but you may well be right. Possibly it was popular there more from the country fans wanting to hear Tammy's vocals, more than the rave/dance fans wanting to hear The KLF (which is what I wanted! :P)
