One of my friends told me that LV bags for poor people now and I told her I am not poor and I love my LV bags and my Hermes bags as well and I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I will wear what I want to wear.
I live in the area where I do not see any chanel bags, occasionally LV. About 5 yrs ago, I carried a Chanel totes into Macy's, the lady worked at the handbags section compliment on my bag, she said "I like your Coach bag" 😅. I think she thought CC logo is Coach, I did not correct her and just said thank you and smiled.
I agree! The damier and monogram grew on me and I love my bandouliere and petite noe bags! It’s not tacky if these things that have been around for ages is what gave these luxury houses their signature thing and became popular. : )
I’ve just started getting into LV monogram (timely with all this conversation about anti-logo lol) and picked up my first vintage speedy. I love it. Has beautiful neutral colors, carefree, in a classic shape, and relatively easy to repair! I get it now 😂
Tacky is in the eye of the beholder. Some may think logos are tacky while others think bag charms are tacky. In the end, its all just an opinion. We all have outfit/trend regrets, even if we felt fab at the time.
Niki sky is a victim of wanting more RUclips success, it’s all marketing, branding and utter BS, couldn’t stand her video, she is just wanting a different career focus to make more Moneeeey
I think people should do what they want, of course. But a lot of this “awakening” does seem to happen to those who already got their Birkin, Chanel classic flap and minis, LV Capucines, and Lady Dior. And then, because their own “journey” through the luxury space hasn’t gotten them the recognition/support/validation they sought, now the rest of us who haven’t arrived yet are suddenly suffering from consumerism. It’s very judgmental and hypocritical, in my opinion
In regards to Niki, it feels like ”white flight.” She needs to feel special by being different and is fleeing from an old trend to a new one. Logos too popular? Flee to quiet luxury. Quiet luxury too popular? Flee to minimalist introspection. It’s just a cycle of trends.
I absolutely agree. Minimalism has spilled over from people’s home and personal spaces, and into their closets. It’s trendy, and definitely doesn’t appear to be the result of some massive internal conflict.
@@hollygrace6814 Who are you to label her "insecure and confused"? She's simply finding out who she is, and obviously come to some realizations on how she's been living. She wants to value the more meaningful things in life, like family, love, purpose.
Lol, a trend as you well said. Now influencers are trying to be “cool” following “quiet luxury / Gwyneth Paltrow and others” also trying to be more “relatable” because oh “look at me … im so sensitive to others, not showing off logos in this economy “ It’s ridiculous ! Getting rid of chanel because of logo? 😂 2.55 can’t be more discrete. Can barely see where it says chanel. If you feel uncomfortable wearing a chanel bag just turn your bag around No one will see the closure on the flap There are other quilted bags in the world and some are pretty cheap. Those influencers are trying to get more followers It’s ridiculous and just hypocrisy in my opinion I actually just got the same chanel bag full of logos you showed, from the new collection and i love it. I wanted the bag and got it as my bday present from my husband Its just so cool and casual, can throw it around and since its fabric it will not get damaged As i say, I always had both logos and no logos and i wear either based on my mood and outfit In my opinion… you are different from others, you got rid of your other bags before quiet luxury became a trend Those influencers are just playing games.
💯 agree !!! If you don’t feel comfortable with the logo , just turn the bloody bag and hide the logo instead of selling everything and lecturing us then wake up soon and buy again !! I am sick of those influencers
I've rewatched her video again about purging her designer handbags with logos. It seems (for now at least) she may have been that person that tried to keep up with the Jones. She mentioned being tired of "mindless consumption," "invisible validation," "competition with other women," etc that made her feel "unworthy." It might not be a designer logo issue and more of a personal issue/social life/social circle/social media issue. If she starts buying expensive quiet luxury items from labels like The Row, Ralph Lauren, or Loro Piana then she's still very much trend driven/influenced (without realizing it).
I feel like the LV logo is more of a print. It always catches my eye. It’s so beautiful with the horse strap leather and gold bits. Not showing off, just wearing the beauty to me.
I think the whole thing about logos - or rather monograms, is that a successful one is visually arresting. That’s why the LV logo has had such longevity. I don’t love a lot of what LV does with its bags but the LV monogram itself is a design classic. I’ve seen casually but well-dressed women running errands with classic LV monogram bags and their entire outfits look great. Part of that is due to the bag. The other thing is that the LV and other classic designer monograms are produced in neutral shades, so they can complement a lot of different looks and colours of an outfit.
I do not think it’s tacky at all to wear logo bags. I sometimes love the over-the-top fashion like the Mob Wife aesthetic! I live in NYC and some of the women of Bay Ridge, Coney Island (in Brooklyn) and Staten Island never stopped the mob wives look and… *whispers* some may actually be. 😅 Fashion like makeup is like a pendulum-one year quiet luxury and the “clean skin/girl” no makeup makeup look is in. But now, the maximalist look is coming back in makeup and logos are back. I will continue to do as I please💃🏿
Obsession about quite luxury is as bad as obsession with loud luxury. Both are excessive and stem from the same tee which is arrogance and entitlement. Wear whatever bag that makes you happy but be a humble person is better than wearing non logo luxury bag and be an arrogant one. And seriously the world has way more important issues, that getting rid of your luxrious handbag collection will not solve.
Actually getting rid of your luxury bags may not be the be all solve it, but for some, it's a good start. It's not only about luxury, but also consumerism.
@@Lucretciela I agree. But in my opinion making videos about it, doesn't look like you're doing it for yourself to upgrade spiritually. Personal growth and modesty doesn't match with seeking fame.
If I had the space and the $ , I would own a thousand bags , all kinds ! Quiet , obnoxious , you name it ! I love bags ! I will never knock anyone for their bags ! Love them !
There’s nothing quiet about me so participating in this bogus “quiet luxury” trend was never going to be me. If that makes me tacky, I’ll wear that tacky badge with pride. Life would be so boring if everyone wore fifty shades of beige! One day people are going to realize that trends are created to sell stuff.
Logo bags are just a part of luxury fashion, LV have been making their logo bags since 1896. That makes them historical, not tacky, people calling them tacky are just uneducated people showing their ignorance. The logo bags are a part of all fashion houses histories and they like to play with their logos making fun new variants, but they’re essentially rooted in the historical legacy of the brand.
I will always love the LV logo. Trends mean absolutely nothing to me..wear what you love not what someone tells u to wear. Logos are not tacky if worn properly.
Exactly. A lot of people don’t have style. A lot of people also buy things for the wrong reasons. A bag usually isn’t an investment . You should enjoy your purchases& buy what resonates
I really love how open minded and insightful you are. No matter what the topic, you seem very accepting and willing to hear all sides. Personally I've never wanted to wear logos and my favorite bags are the under the radar bags like Mlouye and Henry Beguelin. I tend to think logos are with us forever though.
Hi Jess I was way too busy paying off mortgages etc. to bother with any designer bags. Life is more than any “handbag” one carries whether it has logos or not. I’m mature & wiser now, have a few bags & wear what I want. It’s everyone’s right to do as they please. Great vlog. 😘💐
I think people are starting to feel a disconnect from some of these luxury brands with the price hikes and not having the same passion to show it off with the logos?
I buy something because I genuinely love it. It's not to flex or show off at all, it's because the product makes me happy. Btw, your t-shirt is adorable! ❤
I agree, if your outfit is really put together and thought through, you will stand out no matter if you are wearing logos or not. It's just that the logo adds a layer of monetary value which people will think of when they see someone wearing a branded bag, "ohh you're wearing an X-brand bag, you must be rich or have money laying around to afford such a thing" versus when someone sees a person carrying a nice looking bag without any logos or signs that connects it to its monetary value, someone would think "oh that is such a nice bag" and move on with their life. ☺️
I think logo is fine as long as it’s not head to toe loud monograms of different brands…everything in moderation, when too much becomes excessive and difficult for the eye
Personally... I am a mom too - and while i have worn different bags during pregnancy, during the newborn, infant, and now toddler stage... I don't think i could sell my entire bag or luxury collection like Niki... I don't think everyone who wears designer is trying to show off - this can get so meta/deep if you want it too... But I like to try to not judge other people for what they wear or likewise DO NOT wear haha - life is more important than what other people say or do - life is short just enjoy the stuff you like! 🥰Like in our case Jess... Kawaii merch and Hermes HAHA 💗💖💗TYFS 💘KIKI
To me the LV monogram is not logo but an all over print so I love it. I don’t like the big metal logos: LV twist or the big H on the constance or their belts/shoes/ pillows etc. To each their own I guess.
Agree! It could also be what I call the “too many ice creams effect” you have one or two and you still love it but if you have too many you end up being sick of it and get an aversion. Be balanced, have variety and less of what you really like do you keep loving it.
It's so hard to explain why I just LOVVVVVEEEE Hermes. I definitely know I am not trying to show off or feel like I'm better than anyone. I just love the leathers, colors, silhouettes of most of the bags and the insanely amazing smell of the leathers. I have a few LV and CC bags but they are so obvious that they make me feel a bit uncomfortable wearing them sometimes. Honestly, I miss the days when Hermes wasn't so popular .... I don't follow the trends. Hermes FOREVAAAA =)
@@nehavas6769 Depends on the bag I think. I have an old Mulberry in the original Darwin leather, it's probably almost 20 years old, and it still has that wonderful "leather school satchel" smell.
I agree! I don’t think there’s much of a difference with logo and no-logo, you’d probably still be a target. And as if you’d be more safe carrying around quiet luxury like birkin or Kelly which is so recognisable…
I am a handbag collector. Don’t care if they are thousands of dollars or made my an indigenous person. I like what I like. If you are someone who likes to collect logo bags or not then you do you. I just don’t get why people feel they need to go by other peoples views. Collecting handbags, jewelry and clothes is supposed to be to be fun and frivolous and not cause angst. These things in the end are meaningless. Just enjoy them.
I've purged my closet over the past few years & replaced it with the 80% classic staple pieces, & 20% or less of 'current trend' to mix in to keep current, but mostly the timeless classics, I did the same with my shoes & bags. I can still wear heels but at nearly 55, I choose to be kind to my feet & go with flats. My handbags are the same. Simple, classic pieces in neutral, solid colors, totes, top handle/crossbodies, & wristlets/clutches. I do have some colors in there to brighten up outfits, depending on the situation but only two are what you'd consider 'logo bags', those would be my Coach Nolita & Christy, ivory in the signature canvas, of the two I really only use the Nolita & that's during the summer when I don't want to drag a larger bag.
Agree! It could also be what I call the “too much ice cream effect” you have one or two and you are fine but if you have too much of it you end up being sick of it. You get an aversion. Be balanced, have variety, have less of what you really like so you will continue to love it.
OMG the all seeing eyeball LOTR lol, that is hilarious! I have had a logo video I have been wanting to film when I get better, hopefully next week. I think there is room for both and I don't even understand the appeal of Margaux Row bag. Keep those beautiful bags! I will always love luxury bags. :)
I didn't realize you don't have any logo bags until you mentioned it. I love embossed leather with logos in it because it's suttle. I love your collection 😊
My favorite "logo" is Burberry -- while not a logo, its a recognizable brand pattern. I have some pieces that are decades old and some newer, but I will rock them no matter the trend.
love your shirt Jess!! i once saw a woman at the airport and her outfit was like a Christmas tree full of logos: Gucci GG belt, Chanel monogram denim, LV monogram boots, GG logo tshirt, Acne studio scarf, LV monogram neverfull bag. that was a bit much too look at but if she liked it why not. live and let live.
Seriously I can with all those influencers that suddenly decided that they don’t want all the things that made them what the are…😡😩if you sick of it so leave youtube for awhile like a few that I know and respect for the decision and leave us alone we don’t need videos that tell us we are not ok to keep loving our items and they saw the light…. Secretly we know they will buy everything all over again in a few months
People should stick to what THEY like and leave others alone. Style is so personal. I love my giant monogram and no one paid for them except me so I’ll wear it because I like it and it makes me happy. ✌🏼
It’s silly to get rid of stuff to be “trendy” and then regret it when the trend comes roaring back at a much higher price. If you love your bags, keep them. Who cares what strangers think? Be happy, Be well 🎉
I think if someone has a change of heart, they don't need to lecture and make multiple content on justifying their change of heart. They can just change the direction of the channel and move on. There's no need to dwell on the negativity and generalize. Just my opinion. I have watched her channel for at least 5 years. She has influenced people to consume. And now to say consumerism is about competition, and being wasteful? I am not buying that concept. Maybe for her, she has dwelled in consumerism for all those motives she's mentioned, but that's not the case for us all who enjoy purchasi g pretty things we like.
Well I still like my logos but sometimes I want to be more discreet in certain circumstances. So I do like wearing quiet luxury. It all depends where I am going n how I feel that day. I think there is room for both. Love watching u your the best.
You nailed it! It's all about dressing appropriately for the occasion or situation. Being mindful of this is just good judgement and part of being well-dressed and considerate.
Personally I am not a fan of logos at all, but I really like LV canvas logo, to me, it has history, brings back memory when I was young seeing the trunks stacked up high in stately homes. I only buy LV logo canvas bags from LV. I also think logos can be very significant reflecting the eras of designers created the brands. Lagerfeld designed the cc logo, the Fendi FF logo, these have revived the brands from almost out of business to the success today. I don’t care what others think, I care about paying respect to the designers that had made a historic difference to the brands. I miss Lagerfeld and McQueen 😢❤.
I purchase quality bags that I like, and I could care less if anyone knows how much I spent on it. I recently purchased the Margaux because it is a gorgeous bag, and I adore the dark chocolate, smooth leather it's made with. Very few people will even know it's from The Row, or will know how much I spent, and I prefer it that way. I don't wear bags with prominent monograms, or logos all over them because I'm not a walking advertisement for designer brands. Why do people who don't even know me need to know it's designer? I don't care if I look rich or poor, I wear what I find to be quality items I love whether I purchased them at the Salvation Army, or The Row.
I love YSL logo, I've always loved their perfumes and would love to have their puffy bag with a logo. I would love to have a Chanel bag with a cc-lock, a similar bag without it doesn't do it for me 😂 I also love the furry FF-monogram bag by Fendi, and their scarfs and beanies with that pattern. Other than those, I'm not too interested.
Genuinely don’t want this to come across as catty it’s more confusion. I watched the Niki Sky video you referenced and I haven’t seen anything from her a at least a year or more. It felt like a cult recruitment video. It was very uncomfortable and I’m not against minimalism but it felt very off and maybe preachy
I like this quiet luxury trend because I’m 62 years old and I want to cover up more. I want to be more demure and blend in but still know I’m carrying beautiful handbags wearing beautiful clothes with sumptuous fabrics but I still pop in a huge Hermès click clack bracelet or sling on some logo this or that once in a while, but it’s not the overall feel for how I’m dressing. I think everybody should dress in a way that makes them happy. I think your handbags are gorgeous I’m not a fan of those ponies but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go full throttle. The smile on your face tells me you’re just a happy person and I think everybody needs to work on being their own happy person, rather than telling each other what’s out and how dare you and why would you? Fashion should be fun. It is for me.😊💕💫
I think she’s going to regret it tbf. Would have thought she’d have hung on to the ones which will increase in value over time like the classic flaps and the birkin. To me it seems like she’s just following a trend. I remember this happening after the recession when logo’s were tacky. Its just a trend I really think in a few years time these people who are having these crazy purges will regret it as buying back what they’ve sold will cost so much more that what they’ve got not for the things. Ive never been keen on logos but could just been cos Ive already lived through a time when they were super cringe. I wear my telfar bags more than any other. My chanel bags have never left the house.
I think there are many levels of tacky. I think that tacky is not the logo for itlself, It depends of the design of the bag in pair with the clothes that the person wears and also depends of the kind of person who wears it. Like education, posture, etc etc... And "Tacky" is a term that is so subjective to each person in this world.
Hi Jess! Myself, I prefer less shouty logo. I like the logo to whisper. To be limited to either a bag closure or a charm, or the heat stamp. I like the Chanel 2.55 because the turnlock is plain, and the chain is different. It's less, "Hey world, look at the CC". Lol. I like embossed logo, vs. printed logo. You have to look closer to see it. One exception for me is the jacquard Dior oblique material. I love it for it's vintage look. I just love it in the navy blue so much. A other exception where I am surprised at myself is the old Stephen Sprouse LV graffiti on the speedy's and neverfull. Hrmm... oh well. 😊 I watch Niki Sky's new videos, and I wonder to myself, 'did she join a cult or something'? 😮
I love the LV Alma monogram bag, it's a classic and the shape and style is just unbeatable, chic from every angle. But that's my opinion. I do not love the ones that involve gathered leather and gathered logo. Ditto. I think Nikko is having an overdue reckoning maybe because she got a bit greedy and ahead of herself. She feels shame for the amount of bags she owns, something has triggered this. It may be that she's fallen out of the fantasy of the life she imagined the bag would give her. The reality of her life is babies and it's not particularly chic. Perhaps someone confronted her about it and what image she's projecting? I agree she's going from one extreme to another, and this is common when someone feels shamed or ashamed, it's part of making a roundabout apology for influencing others to make possibly financially stupid decisions. The Stephen Sprouse graffiti bags are simply fun!
I think people should wear what they want and enjoy the things that they like. I do think people are shying away from logos due to the amount of robberies of easily recognized luxury brands. I do have some logo bags, but they are all Coach, except for the Michael Kors silver metallic travel bag I have, which aren't luxury brands. My higher end brands tend to be lower key to fly under the radar, although there are a couple of pieces that I'm looking at (Fendi, Gucci) that have logos, but it's in the hardware rather than the fabric/canvas and can be easily hid if needed, for the most part. I think fashion should be fun and give one the ability to express oneself however they want. I also think that too much quiet luxury isn't the answer either, as it can border on sad, beige mom territory; which is devoid of anything colorful and fun. We only live once. Enjoy it, have some fun and surround yourself with the things you love; whatever those things may be. For those of us who love fashion, it's not about trying to be seen as something; it's about loving the different ways one can express themselves with clothing, accessories/jewelry and shoes. People have different styles and should go with what they feel works for them. As their style changes (which it does, as I'm 55 and have been several different people from my 20's until now), they can switch gears. That's part of the fun. Besides, once you hit a certain age, you've seen a lot of trends come and go, as well as those trends that turn into classics over time. Right now, I'm seeing people wear things that would have worked from the 1970's through today. I'm glad fashion is evolving in this direction, as people have more options and it's pretty much anything goes. Sorry to write a novel, Jessie; but I really think people should enjoy what they love without judgement and have the style they want to have. If one wants to sell their luxury fashion/accessories, fine. If one wants to enjoy logos, fine. If one wants to collect handbags, fine. Enjoy it all if you want.
I will NEVER understand buying a canvas bag, like a tote you can get for $10 or even a pricey $30 from say Landsend, for thousands of dollars. I really don’t get the appeal.
I just found an unknown name bag. Denim. Looks like Chanel double flap. Going to add Chanel Camelia on pins that Dacob is making. Im making too. Make my own look.
Things with huge or many logos have ALWAYS been tacky. Other items are just classic and if you can afford them and want to buy them for your own personal reasons then do it! Most people don't and will never have these "problems".
Hey there, Jessie. I’m new to luxury and I don’t have any high end items except for a vintage Gucci clutch. My handbags are what has been described as low luxe (Dooney, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Kurt Geiger, Karl Lagerfeld) but I love a label. I feel like it’s the point. I suppose that once I get some high end items, I may change.
I love Dooney! Their leather is fantastic quality!❤️ I also love my LVs, Gucci, and Chanel. Vintage Dooney duck monogram always makes me do a double take (reminds me of LV Murakami - one of my favorite LV campaigns) and I dont think I'll ever part with my Dooney ducks (or Murakami) 😂. So many gorgeous handbags, so little closet space! Enjoy what speaks to you💕💕💕
@@pattywilliams788 Handbags, belts, jewelry... Even scarves 😂 Love them all! Love it when an outfit/look comes together... And love seeing people rock their different syles! I find it strange that there's a group of people so extremely anti-monogram/labels all of a sudden; if only they knew we're just quietly chuckling at their little freak out, while we continue to rock what we love 😂❤️❤️❤️
I feel like people who are into fashion should wear what they want , Niki is just projecting onto her followers because she’s feeling under valued within her social circle 😂and now she’s promoting herself as someone else. It’s all seemingly fake.
I have my bags curated from each brand I purchased .Each are used in different settings and weathers .I even purchase high street ,some are really great with affordable price points .
Logo is fine as long as you know how to style it. What I find tacky is when people wear head to toes with logo monograms; especially those monogram tracksuits 🫢 I fell in love with Celine after seeing how Korean actor Park Bo-gum wore his Celine white t-shirt with simple blue Celine jeans and a bomber jacket, the only logo was on the t-shirt across the chest. Now, that’s simplicity and stylish. I guess unless you don’t want to me a target of thefts, then I understand. I mean, I wouldn’t be carrying my Channel or Birkin (even with no logo) taking the Metro in Melbourne.
Quiet luxury is the trend and so it feels like ppl are just following the trends. For me I basically will wear whatever goes with my outfit or sparks joy I don’t really care what other ppl think honestly. I don’t wear some bags for security reasons or if the bag is not appropriate for the occasion but otherwise I enjoy both luxury logo and non logo or even contemporary brands. Personally I would miss some of my logo bags if I sold them all. It really depends on your lifestyle and as lifestyle evolves so will the bag collection. As these bags are just getting so expensive i probably would not sell them off unless I know for sure I won’t buy the same bag again based on my lifestyle- but then again that’s always evolving !!
I think years ago you could tell what a designer a person wore, now you can’t tell them apart, that’s why the logo is a big influence, years ago houses like Valentino, Dior and YSL the emphasis was on the clothes.
I think it is amazing that there is so much discussion concerning logos. Does anyone freak about the logos on vehicles, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen? What about the water we drink Dasni, Fuji... What about sneakers? Adidas or Nike. The bottom line is everything is branded and has a logo. People can do whatever they want but the logo argument is flimsy and doesn't amount to any true awakening.
Great points and I've made similar ones myself. I think the issue is the dissonance between the image being projected by having and wearing the status bags, and the reality of the person's day to day life. So switching from logo mania to quiet luxury can still be trying to project something that probably isn't true. It's kidding yourself and others a bit. This aspirational spending is dying out really under the crushing reality of interest rates and the economic situation. Not all logos are equal and some people really do try to project affluence and a jet set lifestyle. It can seem a bit fraudulent to others? Nikki may be having some post partum depression in there as well.
You have a great point. I always wonder if the obsession with gatekeeping and judging logos in fashion (and handbags in particular) doesn't have something to do with subconscious sexism. After all, fashion is a very "feminine" pursuit in comparison to buying luxury cars or watches.
I agree that it’s completely personal and there is no wrong way. For me, I just feel self conscious and embarrassed when I wear logos. I don’t like how I feel wearing them so I don’t but that doesn’t mean there aren’t cool people wearing logos or that everyone should feel how I feel about it.
None of my clothes are branded, some of my purses are, some aren't. It's about personal style how you mix and match and how you present yourself. I saw a woman on the subway the other day with an old, beat up, Speedy 30 in monogram and she looked awesome, while someone else might have looked like a fashion victim. It's all about the individual.
I love LV Monogram...can't get enough. As for the individual who is selling everything....as sge wears a VCA and Cartier Love bangle. Also, she is SELLING them with a link....what a hypocryte..."I dont want them but you can have them as long as you buy them from me" WOW!
Personally, I LOVE logos, and I love the cc on Chanels. I guess if you didn’t want the logo you could always buy the re-issue bags without it, but honestly can’t see the point. K L knew what he was doing when he created the cc lock 🤩x
I think in the 2000s when logo mania was big the 1st time around there wasn't the same level of exposure in everyday life. Regular ppl were not using credit as heavily to buy designer. You either had the money or saved the money for it. Micro financing didn't exist, re-sale websites didn't exit with layaway and financing. Fakes were there but they were bad, not "super fakes". So you saw logo mania on celebrities but not all over everyday ppl.
You do you from the❤ truely ❣️ (And don’t fool yourself❤️) The first is the❤️😍and then you see the craftmanchip and ❤️❤️❤️ and then you think of what time and education you invest in this ❤️ And what you🙏😇 One thing you can think of this is: what if your grandma left this to you is this a thing you will admire or left to cherity . In the end think with the true ❤️😘 (Love your videos long or short💖)
I have collected Chanel bags for years. I gave some to family and now am considering editing. Perhaps it's what's happening to our country and the world, but it almost seems wrong to carry a $10,000 handbag.
I think she's trying to find her personal style which takes time but she's too aggressive with her approach. She has life style changes and as a mom with toddlers she has to dress down to accommodate her kids activities but is that her style I'm not sure. She can't define her style yet so she's trying to justify the changes through other means like luxury, logo, tends, consumerism etc. Style should be defined with verbs such as effortless, classic, comfort so where a piece of item is coming from has no merit to a look. She will later bring in some of the things she purged when her style is well defined.
My opinion: IF the logo wasn't there are you still gonna buy it??? I do believe on it and I do ask myself sometimes. If the answer is YES: so you liked that piece, probably is in your style and probably you are going to use it a lot. If the answer is NO: well, try to think *WHY?*... Are you buying this because is trending? To show off? This item is probably out of your style. I don't buy anything that I don't like, or the answer to that question is NO, not worth for me.
Everything has a logo: Nike, adidas, coach, Kate Spade, and so on…so at the end of the day, it’s just an option. Opinion is like an a$$hole, everybody has one! 😂
Why not have some logo and some quiet luxury. I have a lot of LV and a lot of Hermes. I wear them together. Clothing and shoe wise, i have all the luxury brands, including contemporary and high street like superdry and such. Different people wear different things. As long as the logo or quiet luxury you wear make your heart sing. That all matters.
Everything in her home is full of LOGO's what us ahe going to do ...move in a hut with wood furniture that is hand made. These type of videoa are demeaning and so judgemental.
I love distinctive shapes and hardware, but I'm not personally gravitating to the bag for the logo. But I also think "quiet luxury" is more just repackaged hyperminimalism. Like I want a giant dramatic graphic on my T-shirt, not a logo. I prefer interesting leathers/finishes in unique shapes, not whatever the influencers demand month over month. In some ways it feels like we've sapped all the *design* out of bags in favor of streamlining, but still charging double. Not amused, not enticed.
One of my friends told me that LV bags for poor people now and I told her I am not poor and I love my LV bags and my Hermes bags as well and I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I will wear what I want to wear.
They obviously don’t know any actually poor people.
That’s kinda how it is in my area. LV canvas is recognized but no one would know Loewe, Dior, or even Hermes
I will always love my LV monogram bags, I wear them for me and no one else ❤️❤️
I agree! The damier and monogram grew on me and I love my bandouliere and petite noe bags! It’s not tacky if these things that have been around for ages is what gave these luxury houses their signature thing and became popular. : )
Same, I love my LV monogram bags...I wear them for me too. I could care less about these "trends"...trends come and go. I just buy what I like.
I’ve just started getting into LV monogram (timely with all this conversation about anti-logo lol) and picked up my first vintage speedy. I love it. Has beautiful neutral colors, carefree, in a classic shape, and relatively easy to repair! I get it now 😂
LV monogram is classic and has been for over 100 years
Tacky is in the eye of the beholder.
Some may think logos are tacky while others think bag charms are tacky. In the end, its all just an opinion. We all have outfit/trend regrets, even if we felt fab at the time.
I think bag charms are more tacky than logo.
True
It’s just a cycle of trends.
this is a sign of a very very insecure and confused person
This comment is spot on!
I absolutely agree. Minimalism has spilled over from people’s home and personal spaces, and into their closets. It’s trendy, and definitely doesn’t appear to be the result of some massive internal conflict.
Yes exactly I follow her for a long time and you are totally right, but this time I think she went to far and made me effff 😊
@@hollygrace6814 Who are you to label her "insecure and confused"? She's simply finding out who she is, and obviously come to some realizations on how she's been living. She wants to value the more meaningful things in life, like family, love, purpose.
Lol, a trend as you well said.
Now influencers are trying to be “cool” following “quiet luxury / Gwyneth Paltrow and others” also trying to be more “relatable” because oh “look at me … im so sensitive to others, not showing off logos in this economy “
It’s ridiculous !
Getting rid of chanel because of logo? 😂
2.55 can’t be more discrete. Can barely see where it says chanel.
If you feel uncomfortable wearing a chanel bag just turn your bag around
No one will see the closure on the flap
There are other quilted bags in the world and some are pretty cheap.
Those influencers are trying to get more followers
It’s ridiculous and just hypocrisy in my opinion
I actually just got the same chanel bag full of logos you showed, from the new collection and i love it.
I wanted the bag and got it as my bday present from my husband
Its just so cool and casual, can throw it around and since its fabric it will not get damaged
As i say, I always had both logos and no logos and i wear either based on my mood and outfit
In my opinion… you are different from others, you got rid of your other bags before quiet luxury became a trend
Those influencers are just playing games.
Completely agree with you !!
Great point ❤️
💯 agree !!! If you don’t feel comfortable with the logo , just turn the bloody bag and hide the logo instead of selling everything and lecturing us then wake up soon and buy again !! I am sick of those influencers
Yes! THIS!!!❤
Spot on. All just for clicks. 😂
Girl Yessssssss that’s the observation that I got from her as well 😂
She's being sincere, she's looking for meaning, and she's just growing as a person.
I feel like the LV logo is more of a print. It always catches my eye. It’s so beautiful with the horse strap leather and gold bits. Not showing off, just wearing the beauty to me.
I just wear what want and like. I really don’t care what anyone else’s wears or like. I just enjoy dressing up 😍
Logo bags always make a comeback, they cannot be gated :)
Fashion like makeup is like a pendulum-one year quiet luxury and the “clean skin/girl” no makeup makeup look is in.
@@nada2excoo And she will mostly come to that conclusion herself over time, that is if she continues on her new found path
No one needs to justify their tastes. It's personality and representing what you LOVE.
I love the LV logo and I love the leather ones. I love all handbags. Been my passion since I was 2! Love your videos!
THIS!!!
Honestly Hermes still has a logo. The H on the Constance bag and Oran sandals.
I have never seen ANYONE wear head to logos in the different or same brand in real life.
@@emerybayblues depends on when and where one has been
Personally...
I love Hermes too especially the smell of leather .Closing my eyes I can tell the bag by the smell .unlike other brand bags
@@nehavas6769 Depends on the bag I think. I have an old Mulberry in the original Darwin leather, it's probably almost 20 years old, and it still has that wonderful "leather school satchel" smell.
No logo bags is still a type of show off, just showing off to those people who knows.
I agree! I don’t think there’s much of a difference with logo and no-logo, you’d probably still be a target. And as if you’d be more safe carrying around quiet luxury like birkin or Kelly which is so recognisable…
Yes, it's the ultimate humblebrag!
I’m sorry but I love my LV monogram speedys and Chanel classic flaps , wear what you love ❤️
It is not the logo it is the color brown. I do not do brown. Fendi, LV and Gucci all are brown.
love your shirt Jess!! i once saw a woman at the airport and her outfit was like a Christmas tree full of logos: Gucci GG belt, Chanel monogram denim, LV monogram boots, GG logo tshirt, Acne studio scarf, LV monogram neverfull bag. that was a bit much too look at but if she liked it why not. live and let live.
Seriously I can with all those influencers that suddenly decided that they don’t want all the things that made them what the are…😡😩if you sick of it so leave youtube for awhile like a few that I know and respect for the decision
and leave us alone we don’t need videos that tell us we are not ok to keep loving our items and they saw the light….
I love your cat shirt.
Also I recently ordered 2 mid-range Parisian brand bags, one from Ateliers Auguste and Fleuron. Quality leather, Made in Italy.
Ateliers Auguste is the business IMO. Good choice.
Hrmm... oh well. 😊
I watch Niki Sky's new videos, and I wonder to myself, 'did she join a cult or something'?
You go girl! I love that creativity and that's what it's all about, in my world!
Things with huge or many logos have ALWAYS been tacky. Other items are just classic and if you can afford them and want to buy them for your own personal reasons then do it! Most people don't and will never have these "problems".
In your little opinion.
Sometimes the lack or minimal logo is THE logo. It’s also an aesthetic, which proudly proclaims I do not need the logo
Enjoy what speaks to you💕💕💕
@@AmerPridexxx how cool! I would love to see your collection. Handbags rock. 👜👛

What I find tacky is when people wear head to toes with logo monograms; especially those monogram tracksuits 🫢
I fell in love with Celine after seeing how Korean actor Park Bo-gum wore his Celine white t-shirt with simple blue Celine jeans and a bomber jacket, the only logo was on the t-shirt across the chest. Now, that’s simplicity and stylish.
I guess unless you don’t want to me a target of thefts, then I understand. I mean, I wouldn’t be carrying my Channel or Birkin (even with no logo) taking the Metro in Melbourne.
Well you may find it tacky but if that’s what they like who cares?
OMG! I wouldn't be surprised to see the next freak out be about those things... After all, constant judgement and outrage is the current thing
Off topic . .. your tshirt is so cute ☺️
Logos are here to stay. I buy it for myself, I do like it when people notice. If I didn’t truly care, I wouldn’t spend so much money . 😊
I wear what makes me happy period. 😊
I wear Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville t shirts almost every day to work. But save my designer Ts for afterwork.
Personally, I LOVE logos, and I love the cc on Chanels. I guess if you didn’t want the logo you could always buy the re-issue bags without it, but honestly can’t see the point. K L knew what he was doing when he created the cc lock 🤩x
Exactly. I love the cc lock. Dont see the point if the other one. I know it’s the original but not a fan
I think “personal style” is going to be a trend. And hopefully that one sticks around.
I like logos only if they are not so obvious and prefer bags without them
I love logos, mostly disney but it's logos

I have collected Chanel bags for years. I gave some to family and now am considering editing. Perhaps it's what's happening to our country and the world, but it almost seems wrong to carry a $10,000 handbag.
I think she's trying to find her personal style which takes time but she's too aggressive with her approach. She has life style changes and as a mom with toddlers she has to dress down to accommodate her kids activities but is that her style I'm not sure.
She can't define her style yet so she's
trying to justify the changes through other means like luxury, logo, tends, consumerism etc. Style should be defined with verbs such as effortless, classic, comfort so where a piece of item is coming from has no merit to a look. She will later bring in some of the things she purged when her style is well defined.
I think we all have a small part of us that wants to flex 😂 I hold my hands up to that tbh lol
Yes, Coach has some attractive bags these days!
I live In the Midwest. No one knows about the bags but say that’s pretty bag I love lv damier ebene
Everything has a logo: Nike, adidas, coach, Kate Spade, and so on…so at the end of the day, it’s just an option. Opinion is like an
a$$hole, everybody has one! 😂
HAHA tru!
I don't think it has to be so binary, like you're either all logos or no logos at all. I like both (though I probably lean more towards logos).
Yep, logo stuff is tacky! So true, but sometimes we love a tacky moment, don’t we? 😉
That all matters.
she's virtue signalling
❤
Quite luxury is a snooze fest
I think people should just shut up and do them, why announce it like you are mother teresa because you sold your bags, big deal.
Everything in her home is full of LOGO's what us ahe going to do ...move in a hut with wood furniture that is hand made. These type of videoa are demeaning and so judgemental.
All logo handbags are you paying for free advertising for the brand. They don’t pay you. You pay them. I think they are tacky.
