I'm gonna have to be honest with you man... I have no idea what you said. I don't know any of these terms. I am not interested in any heavy filmmaking past a go pro and phone camera. But your title sucked me in. And your quick, clean, straight to the point editing style kept me here. And you sound like you know what you're talking about. Helluva job man. Just leaving a like and comment for the algorithm. You'll blow up one day. Cheers! Go Brewers
the best kind of compliment, for real. i’ve used youtube to learn everything and it’s awesome to contribute to that community. always try to keep it super real on here lol. i appreciate the kind words very much! thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Sony shooter here. Lucky guy, so hard to get gigs as a creative in Philly. And I guess your good.....as long your not in the shade. But primes is the way to go. But if I was gonna get a zoom. The Tamron 17-70 2.8 is a must get. Definitely staying away from anything slower then 2.8
if you know your work requires that extra light that primes can get you then definitely go for it. most sets i work on, we have several lights ready to go so 2.8 is never an issue. when it is, i use 12800 ISO and that does the trick for me. i am looking at picking up some primes for creative purposes though. that tamron is a great lens for APSC and would definitely pick it up if i had something like an FX30. it is a really great deal. best of luck out in philly! would love to visit there
i’d probably look at something else! the 18-50mm on a Super 35 sensor is equal to like 27-75 so you’re effectively getting almost all of that 24-70 range with that lens.
Thank you! What other aspect should I look to cover with another lens? Besides the long lenses to shoot sport events and birds. I’m looking for a lens that can achieve a solid cinematic mid frame shot.
it is still a great camera! i’d say it depends mostly on the type of work you do. the biggest thing with the a7 iii is the 8bit footage. you don’t have a lot of room to color grade it. but if your work doesn’t require that then go for it! i would maybe look at the FX30 also which is fairly close in price but adds 10 bit and 4K at high frame rates
Yep! Totally agree

Great video. The 20-70 f4 G is a superb lens. Works great on a gimbal too!!
that lens is super cool. i also really like the 24-105 f4 G. great value with that lens since it has OSS as well. thanks for watching!!
Excellent

@@ChristianElia What you say makes sense. I guess if you only do work in studio then F4 is ok. Your right about that
I bought a sigma lens 18-50mm f2.8 , do you think it’s practical to still get that the 24-70mm or in that case turn to see other lens

I’m saving up for the song a7 iii thoughts?
