I'm glad he's on our team. Acuna is a beast. Plus he's so uplifting to the other players. Genuine guy

How can you not be romantic about baseball? The most talented baseball player I have ever seen in an Atlanta jersey- but he also truly loves playing baseball- like a kid... It's a golden time to be a Brave's fan right now.

This is the guy that over the hill Braves fans hate on for enjoying the game and life. He isn't comfortable speaking English regularly or at least to the camera. It's understandable. He's young, he doesn't want to say the wrong thing because he's learning. I've heard him speak English and he's getting pretty good. But terrible people also hate him for that
I'm an over the hill fan and I love this kid. He wasn't greedy, he took a low offer so that he could take care of his family and secure his place in Atlanta. Now he's the absolute best in MLB. He wants to be a Brave for life.
Can't wait to watch this kid dominate for years to come.
    Great interview!

There hasn't been any of that chatter for several years now. He's established, he's matured and he's putting up numbers that back anything he does. Despite that, he's lessened them. Not because he felt pressured to, because it comes with age.
Point is, don't pretend like that's still a thing and you're some kind of outlier. Ronald is universally loved in A town.

@@williamabaker12 I understand that people love him and rightly so but you're not paying attention if you think people aren't still talking that shit. Last year when he dominated the world, Braves fans on Twitter were calling for his head for not running out infield grounders. No reason for your passive aggressive attempt at putting me in my place. Trust me, the trash is still out there and still taking about "why can't he speak 'merican."
I live in this area. People don't change just because he did well. That shit is in their DNA.

@@ladaddy19No one is saying the things you’re describing, no one says’Merican. Maybe you should look at your prejudice feelings about other people.

@@Logos1000 No, there are still fans with that “bygone era” mentality towards Acuña who called him lazy for catching a ball off of the bounce instead of diving when it was clear that he’s following directives from the staff. When Ronald got caught in the rundown, there were some fans questioning his IQ. A lot of the stuff makes no sense. An obvious groundball out but some get upset at Acuña for not trying to break up the play (and risk injury) and start questioning the guy’s desire.

As a lifelong Braves fan it is truly amazing to watch this man play ball. He’s sometimes flashy but he’s having fun. Him and Ozzie’s relationship is fun to watch also.

This video gives insight into who Acuña is and why he's so passionate about the game and life in general. He's a good guy but misunderstood. I'll cheer for him (and the Braves) harder and louder now.

I have a feeling he's going to go off this year again, but especially in the postseason. He desperately wants another WS. One that he's a big part of in the postseason.
