Εις την Κύπρον- απόσπασμα- Λάρκος Λάρκου

"To Cyprus" ("Εις την Κύπρον") is a poem attributed to Vasilis Michailides, which I've adapted into a musical composition. It’s written in old Greek (καθαρεύσουσα) and delves deeply into the history and passions of Cyprus. Here are some selected lyrics, performed live from my studio with my beloved #12string #Guild guitar.
My music blends elements of ballad and #tango, evoking the 1900s, and features a touch of sad humor, like crying and laughing at the same time.
