Meet Vogtle Unit 3 - The United States Newest Reactor

Vogtle Unit 3 entered commercial service on July 31, 2023. It’s the first new reactor to start commercial operations since 2016 and the 93rd reactor now operating in the United States.
Georgia Power is building two new AP1000 reactors in Waynesboro, GA at Plant Vogtle. The expansion project received $12 billion in loan guarantees from the U.S. Department of Energy.
