welcome to darktide! quick tipp, that i have not seen in the comments yet. go to your options/controls and look where your "tag" button is on your controller. you should get in the habit of tagging every "dangerous" enemy that you see, regardless of if you kill it or not, it helps make your team aware of where it is, what it is and what it is currently doing. (tagging is basically wallhack for your whole team) you can only tag 1 enemy at a time so keep that in mind. it is incredible helpful if a teammate tags a trapper or doggo (those 2 are the most important to keep tagged at all times i think), especially when you have a horde to deal with and your screen is full of trash mobs. i repeat, tagging is super important, especially later on when multiple specials spawn at the same time with a horde and a boss. (it gets chaotic quickly) other then that you are doing fine, keep it up and have fun! merry christmas and greetings from germany edit: what i noticed, you dont have to hold your heavy attack for so long, you can release it earlier to get faster heavy attacks.
Thats a great tip! I'll start making that a habit especially now that I'm trying to move to higher difficulties! Happy holidays! Thank you for being a member of the loaf!
When you get a chance mate, start using your materials and upgrade your first weapon to Gold ! You have more than enough not to worry for a lil while, so i encourage experimenting, a weapon with 2 blessings is almost completely different sometimes, give the mastery page in the esc menu a geez on your favourite weapons :)
Now that you have a thunder hammer Breadley, you will need to pay attention to the direction of your swings a lot more. You luckily found the hammer mark that has the easiest attack pattern. Chaining heavy attacks are all "horizontal" and your light attacks are "vertical". You do a lot of damage to a single target by bringing the vertical strike down on their heads, especially effective against armored targets. You can mix this with the thunder hammer’s special ability, where you power it up and make your next strike do insane damage. Keep in mind, when you use the weapons’ special ability, your hammer will get stuck on the next enemy you hit, and you will not be able to cleave a horde as easily until it is used, you can however turn it off by quickly switching weapons. You want to use the hammers’ special ability for elite targets, such as "Crushers" or "Maulers", do NOT use it for hordes, it will get you killed. The hammer is extremely effective against bosses and other big targets. You are the main boss killer with that thing, and a powered-up thunder hammer with a well-placed heavy strike can bring down a "Crusher" and sometimes even a boss in a single hit, assuming you have the correct build for it. Something you want to get used to is dodging while charging the hammers next swing. It takes a while to swing the weapon and dodging to either side while charging it, helps to protect your swing from being interrupted. General rule of thumb, when you feel overwhelmed, put your back against a wall. If the horde becomes a problem, remember to push attack them away from you and keep them controlled with heavy attacks. You can always mix any of these tips with your dash ability. For example, you may activate your hammer’s special ability before dashing towards a target and charging a heavy attack during your dash. This is one way to deal with elites quickly. Merry Christmas and yes, the thing at 13:30 is part of a puzzle. 🙂
Oh the directional swings is something I was noticing last night. I really love the idea of smashing the armored tin cans on the head lol and also great to know not to stress about using the special attack against hordes. Being the boss killer makes sense, I used my ability with a special attack on a beast of nurgle and his health got CHUNKED. LOVE the tip about dodging when powering up the hammer. I knew I missed a puzzle lol Merry Christmas! Thank you for being a part of the loaf!
Don’t forget about revving chain weapons, absolutely huge for taking down specials/minibosses. Also I notice you like cutting through hordes, look for weapons with high cleave and cleave damage, that’s how many enemies you hit in a wide swing
Happy Sanguinalia! That was quite the amazing clutch from Tzeentchia on the second mission. Short comment here cuz I have stuff to do. Btw, the thunder hammer's charged up heavy attack is amazing for dealing with ragers. The non-charged heavy attacks are more for sweeping away hordes of little guys The plague outside is frightful, And the cultists inside are spiteful, Since there's no place to go, Give ammo, more ammo, more ammo! EDIT: My gf was asking about the God-Emperor, so I was talking a bit about the lore. I had to share this: "Oh, and he has to have a thousand psykers sacrificed to him every day to keep him alive" "Wait, cyclers? Are bicycles banned in the Imperium? What have they got against the tour de france?" "You know what, with how wacky the administratum can be, that's probably the case on some worlds"
Happy Sanguinalia! (is this a holiday in 40k?) lol Thanks for the tip about the hammer! And the tune is something I'm going to sing and my kids are gonna be like "what...?" That convo with your gf is hilarious Have a great holiday! Thanks for being a part of the loaf!
@akabreadley Yeah, Sanguinalia is WH40k's version of Christmas. The name is borrowed from Saturnalia, which was a Roman winter feast that eventually became Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and yours! Love the atmosphere you are cultivating. It is refreshing to be amongst fellow gamers that just love to play and chill. No drama, over-competitiveness, or toxicity! I have been around since the early days of online gaming (SOCOM II - PS2, Jedi Outcast II, etc) when the trolls were starting their rise; still had some good times though. Keep it going strong! It IS possible to play violent themed games and maintain a clean social group :-) I hope the rest of your holiday goes great and look forward to the next video! See you on the frontlines!
Thank you for being part of the loaf! Its gamers like you that make this so fun to do! Have a great holiday and look forward to seeing you in the comments! :)
Answer to one of your questions: the medipaks have both a healing total limit and a time limit. Both are generous, but there are limits (not per person). :) Also, it is a common practice to push the poxbursters away as they will explode on their own and shooting them risks them still jumping and doing damage :) Thanks for the video today, I really enjoyed it!!
Thank you clarifying the medipak question i had! Yeah I need to try and head off the pox bursters. I genuinely get a good chuckle when it pushes people around lol Thank YOU for watching. Its because of you and others viewing these that makes me wanna keep uploading. :)
As you get into the harder difficulties, you might find yourself going "This is impossible" and feel like you're not ready. You have to resist the urge to drop back. A good team (i.e., good team*work*) can make even an Auric run smooth as can be. Sometimes I go to earlier difficulties to help newbies out, but I often find the game is in its prime when it's throwing wall-to-wall hordes at you from all sides. Please feel free to send me a message if you don't mind another subscriber's Fatshark code - I'd very much enjoy playing with you!
I absolutely get what you're talking about. I think bumping up to malice is the most fun I've had yet. Basically because of what you mentioned, it felt like non stop action. Love it
Merry Christmas! I would get Zealot to lvl 30, then switch. Of course, you can play as you want. I bounced around a lot and I ended up using a lot of resources on stuff I am not maxed out on
Merry Christmas! In case you weren't aware, you have progressed in your masteries to swap to the other mark (version) of the hvy evis; I highly recommend you try it out. The various different Marks of each weapon can perform much differently and specialize vs different enemies. The Mk XV is great vs hordes with light attacks and hvys good vs bigger :)
Mastery isnt that important if your weapon is already good, since it only allows better customization/min-maxing or upgrading of the stats. If you like a weapon, do consecrate it, especially if the weapon has good max stats (X/80% on everything except one stat you dont need which will be the dump stat at X/60%, usually mobility)
And the overhead swings from Crushers (Ogryns with those big hammers) and Maulers (the heavily armored chainaxe enemies) can/will one-shot down you, fairly important to learn to dodge them or to disrupt/stun their swing with your own attacks They die easily and may go down in one hit to a empowered Thunder hammer strike, good way to do it is to: Empower the hammer -> Hold down a heavy attack -> Your Zealot charge ability -> aim for their head -> bonk
Thank you for this! This part made me more aware of potential one shot abilities, so I'll keep an eye out. Also, for being so large, those crushers are good at sneakin' lol
Sure on lower difficulty. Once you go in auric you need to have good blessings, stats and modifiers to hit breakpoints. Not trying to be that Guy but it is the simple truth.
Duelling sword for heavy enemies and flamethrower for hords
Gonna try out this combo! Sounds fun. I need to give the flamer a chance again

Oh good! I was worried about wasting materials so I'm glad to know I can kinda mess around with some weapons I like!
@@akabreadley absolutely ! especially once you get into heresy/damnation + and run a few games, mats are quite easy to come by :)

8:14 if you want to get into some reading. Try the Eisenhorn omnibus. First series I had ever read, still my favorite.
Eisenhorn, Ravenor, Gaunt's Ghosts, Ciaphas Cain,. I keep replaying them (Audible) every once in a while.
Noted! Thanks for the suggestion!
