Every time I watch this video. Every time I have seen it fly ... When I was with families who were together that day, at last, when it took her first public flight.... When we went to Europe. For a cruise. Our dinner guests each night talked about this great B-29 Bomber. DOC. From sea to shining sea, our DOC is adored. Every Volunteer takes great pride in working very hard day after day , in order to keep DOC safe. The DOC staff appreciates the one s from the past and present, who have spent endless hours, weeks And months and years donating their time keeping it safe for flying I am just one proud wife of a volunteer, who comes home exhausted after working on DOC. Why do these women and men continue to do this? Ask them. A real miracle, when you hear a rumble in the clouds and run outside, look up with pride and see the sight of DOC Polly Broyles Just another proud wife
This looks so amazing. I love that Doc is juxtaposed to the patchwork of rural landscape and the downtown skyline of Wichita. Well done. Very beautiful.
How how beautiful I guess in the fifties Armistice Day they used to have the old planes fly over you knew they were coming you could feel the ground shaking and then you would see them this these planes and the other planes that have the like double square tail I love them it was awesome it was frightful to think they were so big and heavy they could fall out of the sky and the people in them would die but they didn't and all these years later when I hear a propeller plane Ivan to look and many times I get a beautiful surprise in the sky thank you crew bless you crew
this is just beautiful you guys have done a great job. is there any chance that us here in europe will ever get to see either doc or fifi flying here or do we have to go to america to watch these magnificent machines
Was Doc a SilverPlate airplane? Silver Plates were unarnored and had all the turrets removed except the tail guns. Also had fuel-injected powerplants and Curtiss 4 blade reversable pitch props. 509 BG flew SilverPlates. All made at Martin-Omaha. With those modifications they could fly higher and faster than Japanese interceptors, and flak couldn't touch them.
Probably the greatest generation of Americans ever to exist. All worked together rather than against one another to rid the world of the evil that threatened them. They came from all walks of life sacrificed and enlisted to serve their country the USA....!
Beautiful. Bless all the people who made Doc possible to come back. I know FiFi doesn’t have her superchargers for high altitude flying. I just wonder if Doc has his superchargers. If anybody knows could they post it please. Just curious that’s all.
Seeing Doc dancing on top of the clouds was just awesome! I'm speechless ! You guys rock!
Excellent quality visuals, perfect musical accompanyment. Very well done!
Beautiful! It's amazing that there are now two B-29s in the sky now, thanks!

That is one beautiful B 29 .
Magnificent! Hoorah for Doc!
Beautiful aircraft. That would be cool to see them both together. I remember seeing Fifi at Selfridge ANGB back in the 70's.
B-29是我最喜欢的飞机,它无论从设计研发到投入使用,又或者是它的战绩,都让人惊叹!太牛了

With such a good restoration, the B-29 Doc looks like a brand new airplane. Hard to believe that this is a fully restored World War II airplane.

Any chance of you guys coming to ohio in the future?
Just wondering, apart from great visuals, why is Doc flying so low? Can she still be pressurised?
Privileged to visit B-29 "FiFi" at KLOT two years ago. The B-29 was ten years ahead of anything else at the time.
Pity Doc doesn't have turrets. Such a beautiful aircraft! Moltke
They need to restore a couple more B29s
Now the one in lake Meade needs to be recovered.
BOEING B. 29 Super fortress....is an AIR HERO..

Dad's plane. We built them and crashed them against the old elm tree. Rubber bands. I was four when dad died. I am in my 60s now. I fully support DOC.
