This johnny seems more like a middle ground between the obnoxious MK9 johnny and the more mellowed out MKX/MK11 version. Still a bit of a douce but reserved enough to not be totally obnoxious

Last but not least is Liu Kang, unfortunately his too committed to his role,In the end stories,the return of his powers affected his mortality so his no longer immortal so maybe he'll try a mortal life at the end but that's at least 3games away & his not inlove with the Kitana of this timeline.

There's something so hilariously absurd seeing a well known warlord famous for being brutal, using a fork seems like the most out of character moment for him

I think the idea of doing an alt universe where characters have different relationships and roles is awesome, I really like how they handled it. So many interesting characters to pull from and throw in different scenarios. I wonder if alt universes for older IPs will catch on in other media and games. If its done right I wouldn't be against mixing things up.

No, the timeline were basically already ended by Kronika, and since the og Raiden made Liu Kang an Elder god by fusing his past and future self with his own godly powers, Liu Kang was the only one who survives the timeline erasure, who then fought and defeated Kronika at the dawn of time, Liu Kang then uses the hourglass to restart the timeline from the very beginning, with some changes here and there, and one of those changes were basically making Raiden the new Liu Kang. And then as the story of this game goes on, it is revealed that sometimes around the last couple of thousand years Liu Kang gave up his elder god status and powers and become a regular Demigod like Raiden and Fujin were in the past timelines
