  • Prime Minster Mia Amor Mottley has advised members of the fishing community that the Government's first order of business is to assess the situation at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex where several boats were either destroyed or sustained serious damage during the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
After getting a first-hand view of the damages and consoling the distraught fisherfolk, Prime Minister Mottley said the Fisheries Division has been mandated to begin assessing the situation.
While the Barbados Fire Service responded to the Complex to carry out investigations into what appeared to be the smell of diesel, Prime Minister Mottley said the Government also wants to ensure that the Complex is a safe and orderly space.
