    Video Fantastico😂 The knowledge between these Joshua's is biblical in level. Gorgeouso 16 ch Electrodyne....Love the Scully! The 2 channel Neumann Pre/EQ/Comp faders pretty snazzy too! Love the hardware versions of all these Eventides! Not that I've ever heard one(knowingly)...very interesting on the H910 and the 160 having a similar limiting card both having great sounds.....really do love this idea of one good idea leading you down a path.... Absolutely beautiful studio...def have to hit it up next time im in Brooklyn....Wish you guys both the best! Thank You! Love the Love of Ribbons too.... :)

    When I got some vintage Electrodyne pres a number of years ago I stopped using any other pre. They just sound good on the bottom,the mid and the top.Like a record.

      Nice, what models? Racked ch strips or production modules? They sure are incredible

    • @staceyyoung4802
      @staceyyoung4802 Год назад +1

      @@JMLRecording I racked these myself. I got a pair of 712 pre/eqs and 602 line amps so I have an entire signal flow like in the console.The signal runs through three transformers.What a beautiful sound..I used vintage 312 API before this and built a number of 500 series pres over the years in the style of API. I also racked some 711 electrodyne pres back in the day but sold those cause I needed money.I have a tube 201-A and two 712 electrodynes now that I will never sell.

      I had the exact same experience! Best sound I've ever heard. Good on you for getting the line amps as well. When you monitor the board, you're really listening to those LA602 buss line amps! Never sell!

    Scully 280As and an AMPEX MM1200 16 track!! COOL!!!!!! I used to take care of a LOT of Scully 280B machines... MUCH better than the AMPEX 440 machines!

    • @JMLRecording
      @JMLRecording  Год назад +1

      That's awesome. Yea they are rock solid workhorses. There's a great pic of Hendrix sitting in front of one... good enough for Eddie Kramer, good enough for me! :)

      I have 2 AMPEX 440 Bridging Transformer pluged into XLR In's and Out's. Man The sound that came out of them made me get into the whole 1960 Sound. Stereo Image got bigger and beautiful. I can only imagine what a Scully would do...

    Sphere came out of that lineage too. I had a pair of Electrodyne pre’s… from super punchy to super saturation

    • @JMLRecording

      That's right! Sphere, Electrodyne, Quad Eight... even Langevin and Altec at one point all owned by the same company...

    What’s with the triangle/eye logo? (Just saying...)

    • @JMLRecording
      @JMLRecording  Год назад +1

      Since you asked, I reached out to the studio owner and he sent me this answer for you:
      The triangle represents equal balance between three parts: me, the studio, and the artist. Trine is the strongest astrological positioning with power and attributes flowing equally freely in all directions. The eye is from the ancient Jewish tradition of the hamsa, the evil eye that keeps bad energy from getting in."
      He’s taking the imagery back from those who misuse it for negative or questionable purposes. All positive stuff. Peace and love brother.
