2A3 vs 300B vs 211 - Which Single Ended Tube Amplifier is for you?
Single ended tube amplifiers are a great option for all high efficiency loudspeakers. They are known for their magical mid-range sound. While 300B tube seems the most popular choice there is also 2A3 Tube that some like better than 300B ones for the sound character. However 3.5 Watts of power per channel makes the selection of loudspeakers quite limited. On the other hand there is 211 Tube that has a very dynamic yet still very rich and colorful sound signature and can deliver about 16 Watts per channel making it a great choice not only for the most efficient loudspeakers.
