- From a very early age I was fascinated by Volcano’s. I had never seen an eruption until I decided that if I wanted to see one, I had to spend some money and travel somewhere far away to make it happen. That’s what I did and this is a recap of the Epic Adventure that changed my life for good!
I had never been to the South Pacific and the trip there was an Adventure in itself. The weather was a lot hotter and more humid than I expected and there was no communication options at all. The people were extremely friendly and welcoming and they helped me make this Dream come true.
Seeing a volcanic eruption is a hard-to-describe experience. All of your senses are hypnotized by the amazing forces that are unleashed during such a show-off from Mother Nature. The smell of Sulphur and ash and the hot temperatures rising from the crater are overwhelming. It is mesmerizing to see flying lava and hear powerful shockwaves from an explosive eruption.
This footage was shot at Mount Yasur on Tanna Island, Vanuatu in the South Pacific.

Wonderful, Tom! Amazing video with beautiful pictures of this volcano on Vanuatu. I can recommend you to go to Hawaii's Big Island with the working volcano Halema'uma'u and the lava from that crater flowing into the Pacific and causing gigantic clouds of steam. Hoping to see you in the future and talk about your expieriences . I admire the way you follow your dreams!!

Beautiful night shots of the lava fireworks just unbelievable. First time I have ever seen this in any vids of volcano eruptions. (Audio at first was a bit hard to hear but..) it still is an amazing video! My best part is when you showed to the camera that tiny piece of lava you picked up - I want one as a keepsake Lol You should explore the lands of Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. It is an amazing land that can awe the mind in many ways.
Thanks! If you live in Europe I'll send you a piece of lava, I brought some home :)

If you want to know about volcanoes, with don´t ask to people with knowledge and common sense...I read in some part that they are named as volcanologist...
you dont frickin help me
And most drugs are illegal because they ruin lives they can kill you.?? But so can this. So can bungee jumping mountain climbing/ free climbing skydiving scuba diving etc etc.
Just saying...
a minute of fame, or and eternity as fool....
Keep it up. Life without passion is not practical!
Would love to share my music in my last offering in a 1000 year led French Abby. Cheers
DUDE um I gotta tell u something I don’t really see my dad that much and my channel gets HATE BY MY FRIENDS I subbed to you I watch ur vids everyday keep doing what you do ur intelligent and very nice 👍. Don’t let anyone tell you ur ugly or stupid. To me ur a scientist. You make me get As on my tests. And I really want everyone to subscribe to to you. I just wish I don’t get hate no more. Let me tell you a riddle. You succeed then you lead.
I think you should go to mount Vesuvius I don't know if this is how you spell it
Hi Viviana! I have climbed Vesuvius 10 years ago and loved it! It’s a spectacular place ❤️
Ok
Then climb mount Everest
why dont u visit taal or pinatubo nxt tym 😏
I must respect the courage of this young man. For real-for-real, I am a US Marine, and there is no freeking way I would take that risk-non combat related of course. But damn dude, you even hiked the trail at night; without any visual weapon. No gas mask, just guts... and sometimes that's all it takes! Great job Tom. Fantastic pictures that I imagine have made many geologist's in the science world pretty envious of you. On the behalf of those without your balls (smile) thank you and we do appreciate what you have both the time and the resources, to accomplish.
TCGC2013 haha thanks for watching man 👍🏻
You aren’t a marine
I absolutely love the passion you stayed on the island for 2 weeks alone just for the volcano! I wish some day I can do that too.,.,
Hell on earth
so u went to yasur ?
I'd like to see you go to Ol Doinyo Longai in Africa or Ngorongoro Crater.
Adrian Neils Sounds great!
*Jaw dropping*
Nice video, it's overwhelming the power of nature.
Volcan Fuego in Guatemala is nice to, Check videos of Volcan Acatenango (Fuego's twin volcano). I'll do that treck next year.
You're the luckiest
No wonder the notion of Hell is of fire and brimstone. They literally thought Hell was a real place for the damned.
Incredible footage. Great job!
Come to Chili! Here is also volcano
Its Chile Not The Food Chili
You are a special individual I respect that
Very impressive! Dante's peak ruined volcanoes for me tho.. :P
+Active Spuds Travel Takk!!! :D Yes I see why but some volcano's are very stable and not likely to totaly blow up like Dante... that must be too much of an impressive sight though :P
you should have visited the other 2 as well they are in Vanuatu
This guy is crazy to be there alone and so close to the crater.
I thought Kilauea is the most active volcano?
there are many active volcanoes i guess 🤔
This is actually pretty cool! :)
