Ciao Amreen, Mamo here from the facebook group "Travel vlogs", thanks for sharing this video there and be part of the community. Keep up the good work, just subscribed
Thanks Saqib. So I flew to Azerbaijan in December 2019. It was starting to snow around this time. But I also spoke to some other travelers who got back from azerbaijan yesterday and they visited a place called Shahdag and it was covered in snow. It looked marvelous. Google it. Shahdag. It’s lovely.
Hey there, thanks for putting this up, Im also planning a family trip Azerbaihan to see some snow, do you have an idea if it snows by this time of the year (July) or maybe we can visit Georgia to see a snow pls advise . thanks in advance .
Hey Nelly how are you? Your most welcome my dear. Always happy to help. Sorry but unfortunately you may not get snow anywhere in the world in July. Unless you visit New Zealand, perhaps. But yea, July is the hottest month in the Europe side. I almost never advise anyone to travel during July and august unless necessary. But Azerbaijan is great. I did that trip in the month of December and I caught the first snow fall in Gabala. No snow in Baku.
I'm visiting in may and could you help me out with all the places I should visit in Azerbaijan.. it's a a family trip for Eid and what are the main destinations we should considered seeing up there!
Well we took a car from the airport for our comfort. You might wanna do the same. Baku has many attraction like the kid volcanoes and fire mountain etc. but we also went to Gabala. It a mountainous region. It’s small and simple so don’t expect 5 star hotels. You can go on a day trip or stay there a night. How many days are you going for?
Hey Dilukshi most likely you will find snow. I traveled post national day holidays. I’m taking a small group this year for Christmas. It’s a snow trip.
See right now it is really cold and if you want to visit the mountains there will be snow. If you can wrap up your toddlers in good thermals then they’re good to go. I get cold extremely easily but I wear layers and I’m fine.
Hello dear i just want to ask since u mention u rented a car Are they same as uae I mean left hand drive? And if u have contact for the rent a car it’s a great help we are traveling next month to baku. Thanks ❤
Hey Pobreng yes we rented a car and it is the same as dubai. Hence the dubai license works there. Marshal rent a car in Baku is who I used. When are you going exactly?
Hi. I want to know how was your experience of renting a car and driving your own? I mean is it safe and the roads are good? And where you recommend to stay in gabala other then firoze app, as I was thinking to stay in villa which is near to market and restaurants.
Hello Nadeem, driving was not dangerous at all. Roads are good. No issues there. But if you’re going in winter like we did then watch out for fog. We had heavy fog when visited Gabala from Baku. Barely any visibility. Firoze is a nice place to stay as it’s clean and right opposite a very nice restaurant and bar. If you don’t want to stay that far then I suggest check in booking.com. You can see the distance of any particular accommodation from the city center and book accordingly. Since I haven’t stayed in the city center I cannot advice you on it.
@@JustGoWithAmreen my niece would also like to see snow in December. So where looking where in Azerbaijan is the best place to see snow during that time
Gabala is a mountainous region. That’s where we found snow. It’s best to go the later half of December. You’re more likely to find snow then. You’ll also have great festive markets in baku to visit.
@@JustGoWithAmreen ohk..can u give me some info abt the mud volcanos ..is it worth visiting? how did u reach there? in which month did u visit ?does it require an entire day for gobustan and mud volcanos? is it safe to go there with kids ..n will the volcanos be there bubbling in jan as it might get really cold by then ..would be great if u can provide me with all this info and anything else that I need to know
Hi you don’t need an entire day. It’s a half day trip. We combined the fire mountain along with mud volcanoes. If you decide to drive make sure you have a 4wd because the drive is very rough. You could just take a tour as well. Especially if you have kids. I went in the month of December. Jan is a lot cooler. Make sure you don’t touch the mud or collect the mud. It’s not good for your skin. It’s cold not hot like lava but don’t touch it. We just googled where it’s located and drove to it.
Nice vlog Amreen I really enjoyed while I was watching it 😊 just a question, when it was your trip ? because I’m planning to go first week of coming March but I’m afraid that I will not see the snow !
Hello madam Can I take my 12month old baby boy to gabala in the month of December 1st week I have little bit fear about the cool temperature Plz help me in this regard
People take much younger kids much colder weather. It’s nice you’re asking me. Azerbaijan isn’t that cold of a country. Just in the mountains it is snow but if there is sun, then it’s not that cold. So don’t worry, if your baby is wrapped up in thermals and layers, it should be fine.
@@JustGoWithAmreen where did you stay? Planning to stay in Baku, and travel by bus to gabala to see the falls and more snow. Thank you for your help, also is it visa upon arrival for UAE residents? And what are the needed documents presented at the Azerbaijan airport? Thank you
I stayed in an Airbnb in Gabala and in a hotel close to Nizami street in baku. I don’t recall the documents but basically your uae residency is important and carry your emirates Id as well. I recall it was very efficient and swiftly done when I went. Shouldnt be a problem at all. We had self-driven so I’m not sure about the buses but I’m sure there is a bus from baku to Gabala.
There are 50-50 chances of snow in November. Baku doesn’t snow. But Shahdag and Gabala do. I’m organizing a small group trip specifically to enjoy snow in azerbaijan for December. If you’re flexible with dates let me know.

Oh that’s amazing! December is the best time to visit Azerbaijan.
Hey @hazem even me and my friend are planning to visit this December hopefully we meet in Gabala.
Does the mud volcanos nd Cennedy mountains visible in December last week. As there is probability of snow fall at that time. Kindly guide us
Yes you can visit both those places but I must say that I don’t recommend either. It’s overhyped and not worth the visit
Interesting vlog. Carry on the good work. Maashaallah.

50-50 chances honestly. Thanks to global warming it’s really dicey now.
We are planning for dec national day holidays, mostly from nov 30th to dec 3rd..so will be able to see snow?
