- Shadow of the Erdtree in English Language is not available on Asia Playstation Accounts. This Video shows how to get around that problem and get the English Language Shadow of the Erdtree to work on your English Elden Ring on Non-US PlayStation Accounts. Many people bought non-English language Elden Ring by mistake and ended up buying Elden Ring twice (the second time going to US PlayStation account to buy it). However, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is not available for purchase on Non-English Accounts. Therefore this video solves the problem so you can continue playing where you left off without starting over playing on English Elden Ring. In the video, I show the non English DLC in HK PSN store is NOT compatible with the English Elden Ring. You need to find out what English version of Elden Ring you got and go to that region PSN account and scroll down and buy the English DLC compatible with it. In my case I bought the US Elden Ring, so I scrolled down from that US PSN account and purchased the DLC from the US PSN account (you may need to buy appropriate cards from that region to charge up your account wallet). Your best bet is to create PSN accounts in US, UK, Canada, or Singapore and see if you scroll down there is a DLC available for your main Elden Ring game (that is in English) and the DLC does NOT show non-english languages in description. Many people also created Singapore PSN account and that worked too. I hope this helps. This worked! Thank you so so much. My main account is Thai but I bought the eng version. I made a Singapore account and purchased the eng version of the dlc. It should be right at the bottom when you scroll down the menu. You don’t need psn for this and I can continue with my old save file.

Calling Sony or FromSoftware (Bandai) does not solve the problem at all. Also, to correct your post, you don't need PS+, but you need Singapore PSN account to buy the DLC from the PSN Store

My PSN account is in Hong Kong since my PS4 days. I bought Elden Ring way back Feb 2022 and my level is 201. I checked the PS Store for the DLC and it only shows Thai, Chinese and Korean (just like in your video). So I bought the Elden Ring SotE disc edition at DataBlitz for P5000 earlier. I redeemed the code and it says cannot be used in my region.
I have deleted the base Elden Ring game installed since 2022 and installed the disc I bought (SotE) hoping that it is just some glitch. I do not think this troubleshooting will work but I have no other options to think of. To hell with Hong Kong.
That is very odd. I thought all physical discs are compatible for all regions. You need to get a refund because this is really strange for disc versions. I have never heard that before. Your best bet is create a Singapore or US PSN account add their appropriate wallet cards and buy the full game and DLC there. Then decide if you want to play the game on those accounts or play on HK PSN account. The game trophies do not crossover between different PSN accounts so you need to decide that going forward.
i think its all bandai namco fault with this language BS. So u said u got the SotE disc edition, it has no english text? I see theres 2 version for asia of SotE one that seems same as original and one labelled ‘english’ which costs a little more
I got both digital versions. The problem is you can't find an English language Elden Ring base game or base game + Shadow of the Erdtree in English language in the HK PSN Store. I believe this is the same problem for Thai PSN, Korea PSN, and probably Japan PSN too. You need to go to Singapore, US, UK or other PSN account to buy the English version base game or English DLC expansion. Now this affects only certain games, so at the moment it is affecting Elden Ring. Many other games have English as default or English is included and displayed if you change your PS4/PS5 system language to English
@@edepotI doubt I can get a refund since the store (DataBlitz) is not at fault here. So I reinstalled the game using the disc that I bought (Elden Ring SotE edition in English). I was able to install it no issues but the code is still not being accepted due to region issue. Buying a digital DLC is not an option for me since I just bought the physical disc a few hours ago.
My best bet is to use the voucher code on my PSN US account (assuming it does work), then switch back to my Hong Kong account to see if the DLC will get recognized and play it there - for the sake of being able to load my hard earned level 201 character. Worst case scenario, I will use the US account from now on and forget the trophies/achievements on my HK account (I don't mind). But in doing so, I will start a new game again at level 1 since my cloud save is in my HK account (PS Extra), unless my US account can recognize the Elden Ring saved game on my PS5. The confusion just never ends..
@@TreyyDaMenaceFanYes, I bought the Elden Ring SotE disc edition (even if I already have the base Elden Ring since 2022). All PS5 games in my country supports English language. The issue is that it refuses to accept the voucher code because of my region (HK). I might try the workaround I mentioned above coz I have a feeling it will work.

My base game IS in English. I bought it in US PSN store. Read video description for full details. However, I played Elden Ring using HK PSN account. After this video I am playing Shadow of the Erdtree on same HK PSN account so I keep my platinum trophy

No. It would not work. It is not compatible with Non-English base Elden Ring game. The non-English Elden Ring does not recognize an English DLC was installed if it is not the same compatible language. So if you bought the non-English language Elden Ring base game or non-English language DLC, you need to re-purchase any that is not in English language

I just did the same thing. bought the standard version (because I didnt know it was Chinese only).... then bought Bundle version stated Simplified Chinese, English, etc etc.. but still cant play my english version of Elden Ring PS4 version. Im sooo Piss!!!!

If you haven’t downloaded the dlc, then you can still ask for a refund. I had the same issue but was able to refund it last wednesday

If you see the English DLC underneath Elden Ring Singapore PSN, you can buy it from there. I see it under Elden Ring from US PSN so I bought it there. Proof it is working: ruclips.net/video/h_41X8Whabw/видео.html
Hi, I'm trying to confirm if this'll work, I'm from the Philippines, and since PSN is unavailable here, I made a HK account and bought an Elden Ring disc English version 2 years ago in R3. (which hopefully means Singapore is covered by R3)
Will buying the DLC from Singapore and switching back to my HK account let me keep my 600 hour saved files for the DLC?

My main account is japanese, I originally bough the English HK Asia version of Elden Ring and as advised I also got the EN version of the DLC through my US account. However, the DLC doesn't show up in the "Manage Content" option neither from my JP account nor my US account. When I check the file download in the storage it doesn't indicate a version for the DLC. Kinda lost to what went wrong or what I should do now.
OK. To solve your problem. Buy the English Elden Ring main game on your US account. Then you can play both main game and DLC on your Japanese PSN account (but you may lose your trophies). The other option depends on whether your HK Elden Ring allows buying English DLC when you scroll to the bottom. If it DOES NOT have English, you are screwed. If it does have English, buy it with your HK PSN account. If you bought it physical, again, make sure the DLC is available in English when you select the Elden Ring and scroll to the bottom. The video shows what that looks like. Otherwise, create account on Singapore PSN and see if there is English DLC for purchase when you scroll to the bottom. Some had success that way if they did not buy English Elden Ring from US PSN store.

If you are playing in Hong Kong account PSN, and you can't buy English Elden Ring in the PSN Store (like shown in video), then you need to create a Singapore PSN account, US PSN Account, or UK PSN Account, and log into that account, put appropriate money in that PSN wallet and buy it from that account. Then go back to your HK PSN account to play. Or you can play in those other PSN accounts instead. Your trophies will stay at the account you play at and does not transfer to different accounts or regions. Video shows buying DLC for English Elden Ring at different PSN account (US) and then going back to HK PSN to keep the trophies and English language text and audio
So question! I got it on my Singaporean account, will I still be able to get it that way or do I have to use the US account anyway?
As long as you see the SotE DLC under the Elden Ring game as shown in video (without non-English languages in the description), you can buy that instead. I am playing US English Elden Ring, so I installed DLC from that US PSN account and switched back to HK PSN to play the game so I can keep my old trophies. I had to buy an imported physical copy in order to play the base game in English. If I purchase the DLC using my UK account will it allow me to play it on my Asian PSN account which has all my saves?

I have an Asia base game disc which I used under my US PSN profile (200h saved game). When I downloaded the DLC from the US store it wouldn’t work. Now I have an HK account but the SOTE version there is only

Make a Singapore PSN account, buy Singapore card money to put in your Singapore PSN account. Select your English Elden Ring (while in Singapore PSN account), scroll down and you should see an English SotE DLC. Buy it in the Singapore PSN Store. Let it download and install. Once it is installed correctly, switch back to your US PSN account and continue playing on your US PSN account. Note... Make sure the description in your SotE DLC (while in Singapore PSN) DOES NOT say Thai, Chinese, Korea, etc. If it says that do not buy.

Hello can you help? I skipped buying the game 2 years ago because no english in my store. Now they release Erdtree special edition and it says ‘english version’ on the hard copy, will this be english text in the base game too?
If you are buying a disc. Make sure it says ENGLISH on the back for text (I don't think there is other language for audio). I would get both base game and DLC on ONE DISC. Don't buy a physical DLC without base game (if that exists), because you will get the same problem as before with digital DLC text not compatible with base game.

So I know now it's base game plus voucher code for SotE, would this mean I can't redeem it on Thai store, but need to make new US or singapore account to redeem the code there to get english one on my thai account?
Someone successfully created a Singapore PSN account and redeemed the dlc there. Then after it has downloaded and installed (both base Elden Ring game and DLC), go back to your regular PSN account and play there if you want to keep your old trophies

If your base game doesn't have English the English DLC won't work with it.
What do you mean Shadow of the Erdtree English Version is not available on Asia PSN accounts? I live in Asia, I have a Asia PSN account, and I can search for the EN version on the PSN store with no problems at all.
You probably have Singapore PSN account. For Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Hong Kong, you can't find English version

Aww... So there is more to it. PS4 and PS5 PSN stores have differences in English languages versions too? In my video I am showing PS5 PSN store, and you can't see English Elden Ring or English DLC Expansion in the HK PSN store

If you purchased a DLC that does not have the same language as the main game, you need to purchase the correct English DLC that matches the main English Elden Ring game. So create an account in Singapore PSN, US PSN, or UK PSN, and look underneath your game in each and see if there is an English DLC (without any non-English description) for purchase. If yes, buy that DLC. Then go back to your play account PSN and continue with your trophies. Read the video description.

The ELAS letters have meaning...
1st letter (E=PS5, P=PS4)
2nd letter (C=First Party, L=Third Party)
3rd letter (A=Asia, J=Japan)
I am not sure what the 4th letter stands for (maybe someone can chime in).
So what happened is, Tencent bought a small stake of FromSoftware's owner and forced them to remove English DLC of Elden Ring from appearing on the Hong Kong PSN Store. You need to make a Singapore PSN account and download the English DLC for your English Elden Ring Asian physical disc. Singapore is not Hong Kong, so they still support English. After installing English DLC from Singpore PSN account, switch back to Hong Kong PSN account and continue playing Elden Ring DLC in English. Your Elden Ring trophies and data will still be in the Hong Kong PSN account. Do not buy the DLC in Hong Kong PSN Store (it is not in English).
The elden ring DLC is not able to be downloaded if your playing from a disc, I tried it and it didn't work
You can download the English DLC and play from physical disc Elden Ring. You just have to buy the English DLC from the correct PSN region account. For ELAS region physical disc, Singapore PSN supports the English DLC (NOT Hong Kong PSN).

Yes, as long as the physical disc is in English, and you can actually see the DLC listed underneath the game (and the DLC does NOT have non-english language in the DLC description). You may need to create Singapore, US, UK, or other region PSN to see the DLC listed underneath the physical disc game of Elden Ring after installed. If you don't see it you can't buy it. Why the actual fuck are they refusing to release an English version of Elden Ring in Asia. It's so frustrating and utterly baffling. Who the fuck is making this decision
FromSoftware is owned primarily by Kadokawa Corporation, with recent minority stakes by Tencent subsidiary Sixjoy Hong Kong and Sony Interactive Entertainment. Since Sony's other Asian games are in English and Kadokawa's previous Souls games are in English. The culprit may be Tencent.
