They’ve been remaking it like twice a decade since 1999. Last one was in 2017 but I think the creators have been trying to make a sequel since 2010.

I personally find them fun, these games suck in the best way possible. And it's not like they're completely bad, they have a good team behind it but the direction is what makes them mediocre.
