You been giving me very helpful insights towards my finances. Although majority of it isn't applicable to me due to my circumstances, I recently got my first credit card as young as 19. My family isn't into stocks or credit credit cards so it's a bit of an uncharted territory for me, but thanks to you I at least know the basics to get the best out of my buck.

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the next best time is now. I'm happy you shared this with me now and I will do the best I can given my circumstance. Thank you for the lessons.

All of this, yes! I'm thirty, working on getting what's left of my money from my FA (at a loss over the past two years) to stick it in an IRA and a brokerage, indexes, ETF's, and REIT's all the way, set it and forget it.

I find it helps to think of the money as not real for loss aversion. I'm only 35, so I have 30 years left in the market before I begin withdrawing. I invested right after the world shut down with COVID and rode that boom. Now the stock market is coming back to normal. I'm about 25k down from my high, but when I remember it's money I never had, or it's not real, that kind of helps.
I'm still up overall, but I don't like seeing my losing 2k in one day because stocks are down a couple percent

Very True, I have been in the Stock Market since the mid-nineties. I have had some wins and some major losses. But now I'm sitting well for my retirement in less than a decade.
