I like the headstock on the D'Angelico much better than the previous headstock. Thank Jack for all you do!
I was going to ask if you prefer this or the Keeley Muse Driver - have you played that one yet? I’m undecided between which one to buy!
I haven’t played the Muse, just this one and the Noble Screamer.
That sounds really good. Unfortunately I recently got the El Rey. worst expensive pedal I've ever purchased. It's loud, it buzzes & sounds nothing like what it's supposed to. My Sweetwater rep wouldn't do anything about it & Keeley has never responded to my emails. Doubt I will ever do business with them again. Great playing as always my friend & I really enjoyed your posts with you & your band mates. It was cool to see you in that environment 👍👍
I always try to buy pedals shipped/sold by Amazon. Easy free returns. I've had the same issue with Sweetwater - I think returns negatively affect sale engineers' performance reviews. I'd gladly pay a membership fee to participate in a no risk guitar pedal purchase club (free returns if you don't like the pedal). Jack, sorry if my comment negatively impacts your affiliate commissions.
I felt the same way about my El Rey when I got. Changing from a 9V battery to a power supply solved the noise issues on mine. The controls are extremely sensitive though, micro adjustments go a long way . Thru my '59 Bassman LTD and a Strat it sounds absolutely awesome. Hope your luck changes with yours.
Sorry to hear that about Sweetwater. That gives me cause for concern - for any future purchases? Thanks for the info.
That's weird, you would think they'd have a pretty good return policy.
Sorry to hear that gents - I’ve never played the El Rey so I can’t comment on that one, and I’ve always had a good experience with Sweetwater’s return policy. But please, don’t worry at all about the commission thing - I’m always hoping my videos help point people towards good gear and good experiences. If it doesn’t, that defeats the whole point.
I saw those...I was thinking the Nobel Screamer, or the Blues Disorder ... no over shadowing interest in the other two.
on the Nobels, the spectrum knob, full C.C.W, the tone is similar to a tube screamer, but you can't move the center fequency around.
Love this pedal. My whole drive section is a Noble screamer into a blues disorder. I particularly enjoy playing my d’angelico excel tour dc into it. Best sounding semi hollow on the market imo
New guitar? I don't recall seeing you with that one before.
Sounds great, pedal also. I wouldn't have thought of that combo either! Kinda similar to how Mike Vickery blended the OCD and Zendrive in his Tree of Life. Different method of blending tho
I have The Noble Screamer ..Blues Disorder & just got the Angry Rodent & love all of them & have the original pedals they take after and these are incredible..3+ decades playing guitar..mostly Zeppelin, Deep Purple,Pink Floyd , Cream etc and was able to make 1 of my pedalboards smaller thanks to these pedals and the sound is incredible through my Marshall Plexi Head & my Supro Black Magic & even Fender 65 Deluxe reverb and just sounds incredible..I hope you get around to showing off all of them. The Muse is next on my to get list🤘🎸🤘keep rocking Jack!
Great sounds! One of my favorites is a Wampler Gearbox (Pinnacle and a Tumnus/Klon in one pedal) I love the Blues Breaker and the OCD so I am sure I would like this pedal.
I thought the Gearbox was Wampler's Pinnacle and Tumnus?
@@rob28781 Yes, you are correct! Thanks for the clarification. Either way, it sounds great. I will edit the post to prevent any confusion.
@@s9plus20 Yeah 100%, I'm more a Belle / Tumnus type of guy
Appreciate the demo. I own 2 Keeley pedals, the Memphis Sun and the Red Dirt Germanium and like them. This pedal sounds great to me.
Sounds great! I need a blues breaker pedal! I can see the versatility of something like this!
