Town fan checking out your content. That is without a doubt the best tactical breakdown of how we have played since McKenna has taken over I have seen from any fan podcast. Brilliant watch 😁
Ipswich fan here. That is an excellent analysis. Looking forward to a great game Sunday. Villa are always dangerous and Ipswich will have to be laser focussed.
(Ipswich fan) excellent insightful analysis. If only more podcasts made the effort!. Agree about Hutchinson. Davis is being forced back by the quality of opposition wingers. We will improve as season goes on (integration of new players + Mckenna coaching). Plus look out for Burns he may make the jump up a level again. Glad Villa are doing so well and without some of the casual conceit that some other fans display.
Ipswich fan here. One of the best tactical analysis videos from an opposition podcast that I've seen. Great work guys and good luck for the rest of the season (after Sunday of course!)
Ipswich fan here, great video. Nice to see opposition fans doing some research and not just writing us off and doing 0 research like other fans have so far this season. Hopefully, we can catch you on an off day and steal a point (or 3) but I think you'll be too much for us. Ipswich 1 Villa 3
Superb podcast with no time wasted, really insightful analysis and very respectful. As an ITFC fan, it is going to be really tough for us on Sunday, hoping we can get a result but my head says Villa just have too much quality. Nice respectful comments from the villans on here as well, good luck after Sunday.
As an Ipswich supporter, an accurate and detailed analysis of Ipswich, although the one thing that can't be measured is heart and determination. To be fair, we played Liverpool and Man City in our first two games, and Fulham, and Brighton as well, meaning that we will have played five of the top eight teams in our first six games after the Villa match. Probably the toughest start that any PL team has had, and this is clearly having an impact on our stats and results, and three draws is a decent return from those games. We are also forming a new team, with the signings we have made, and we will be stronger when that has happened as well, we haven't quite clicked going forwards, and this is shown by the lack of goals. Personally, I think there is a flexibility and positive approach from Ipswich and Villa which is similar, and clearly Villa are much further down the road from us, and have extra quality, so will understandably be favourites, yet it is possible for us to click and win. A draw would be a decent result for us, although we will be going for the win. Good luck after today
The league is starting to sort itself out now. I can see Chelsea being this years Spurs and our main threat for 4th. I think Brighton and Newcastle will keep dropping the odd point and a gap starting to grow from 5th down. For that to happen we need to get 3 points from games like this and just keep picking up points before injuries and fatigue set in.
As an Ipswich fan (gonna be there Sunday) I would be happy with a draw but I think you guys will win being realistic. The only thing I would say about all the stats is out of our first 5 games, we’ve played Liverpool at home and then city and Brighton away. So hopefully our shots for and against will come back a bit more towards the average as the season goes on. (Edit: I also don’t think we’ve found our strongest 11 yet and still got a lot of new partnerships)
Great review - Omari Hutchinson has been a standout performer, his energy and creativity are crucial to Ipswich, so curbing his input will be important UTV...
Safe Luke and Earl, great start to season, it will be a tough game at ipswich. But im sure we will come through it. Just a note for Earl and the Villa scouts, Devante Ramsey with Pro Chance at Derby university, take a look at him if you can. And yes he is related to Jscob and aaron.
Also,in the 1st half v Wolves,Konso was roasted a few times! he is not quick enough over a short distance! by no way a full back. Nedeljkovic for me.Konsa in his true position.😊
Great overview. Never watched Ipswich last year so all new to me. Seen Delap this season and he looks a real handful. Would like to see Carlos matching up against him, if he's recovered from his niggle. Can't see us keeping a clean sheet anytime soon, so we'll need to score at least 2 again
I am an Ipswich supporter who spent happy days in the Holte End while working in Birmingham. There is a difference in playing Liverpool, Man City and Brighton in early games compared with Wolves and Everton. No doubt, Villa are a good side while Ipswich are still in transition, so I will be very happy with a draw.
I think this game is calling out for a full 442. Bailey and Rogers wide Watkins and Duran through the middle. With the space Rogers would create for the lb when he drives inside that would cause ipswich so much trouble
I like Cash coming on off the bench later if he's fit. I'd even start Duran Duran instead of Watkins, if he starts I think he gets a brace. I think we'll do well with everyone else you have in the lineup and win comfortably. Let's start Watkins against Bayern. Hopefully Kane won't be fit as I've heard for that match. I like Rogers to get a goal in this one as well to get him on the scoresheet. UTV!!!
Think only changes from last game for us (Ipswich) will be Phillips back in for De Cajuste and Ogbene in for burns. Villa these days is a free hit, don’t expect any points and anything is a bonus. You and Newcastle have turned the top 6 into a top 8. Realistically we are part of a mini league, the bottom 5 who will be fighting to get 17th. If we do I think we will kick on and invest again next summer and hopefully be a regular fixture. Any of you into gambling, a fiver on Morsey to get a yellow is always a good bet. Also any of you making the journey to Suffolk and fancy a friendly pint, Isaacs on the waterfront allows away fans, is a good place to for pre game pints, better than the official away fans pub the station.
Im going with Bogarde as our right back as Carlos looks to be out. Potential banana skin game. Show them respect and take the pounts please boys. Great, informative pod boys UTV
@@carlthomas7354 I think it’s inevitable. This is his team and at the moment, he might have a hard time getting in. We have a need at RB. He is willing to play anywhere. He is a physical player, good defender, and in the modern game when fullbacks need to make a pass, too, he can be really quality.
I think we have to play Duran, we cant just play the same team every game, we will end up running Watkins into the ground and if we arent starting Duran in this kind of game, he will spend the January window looking for a move. This is perfect to switch it up a bit ahead of Bayern and Man Utd. Id have Maatsen in over Digne too. Whatever we do I dont think we can just play the same team every game.
I totally agree. Easy one to explain to Ollie with Bayern and Man u in a week witu the international break after and gives Duran his deserved start. I'd probably rest Onana or Tielemens too. Unfortunately with the champs league we really need to rotate before teams get tired
On paper we should beat these guys comfortably but football is not played on paper. Still think we'll win, but it's going to be a challenge. 2-0 to Villa
@@Stealthycarper-h1z for sure but I do feel we can't give up on him, he's learning and adapting, once cash is back he can be utilized off the bench more..
@UTVFANCHANNEL I'm not giving up on him but he's a league 1 defender doing a job for us as it stands. He was a bag of nerves v Leicester, was getting targeted by young boys, got away massively with two v everton (lazily jogging back when playing DCL onside) and didn't get away with one v Wycombe. It's actually unfair on the kid that we're putting him in this position. You've referenced carlos mistake when discussing bogarde, I wonder if carlos makes that pass inside v wolves if he actual had confidence in lad at right back? Just a thought.

Ipswich must stop,Ramsey,Watkins,Duran,
Rogers,Bailey,Onana,
Tellimans,Maitson ect! All capable of scoring goals!😂😂😂😊
👊🏻
Won’t be hard at Portman road
Won't take it for granted! But Ipswich lack of prem experience could be their downfall.Sort of Leicester level, I would say! 2-0 Villa.
I fancy a goal but 2-1 Villa, from a town perspective is a free hit as don’t have the likes of Villa marked down to get points from.
Great content Luke I can also see us winning this 2-0. UTV

Watkins, rogers and bailey often need doubling up on. We need to move the ball fast, sharp and accurate and we'll hopefully turn them inside out

Nedlejkovic pace will b crucial if he starts
Kosta so much more experienced than bogarde, doesn't jump into tackles, and has speed to burn,....its a no-brainer to me

Hopefully the players haven't got eyes on the champs league next week on still go in for the 50/50s come on the clean sheets utv
What I think/want: Konsa at CB and Bogarde at RB.
Crazy take: Konsa at CB and McGinn at RB (but one that’s perhaps crossed Emery’s mind).
Definitely think mcginn could prolong his career if he moved to left back later on in his career

Give Duran a start, let Ollie rest for Bayern
I'm just not seeing it with Bogarde. In fact, I think he's a bit of a liability.
Saying that the experienced CB passed it straight to cunha last week
@UTVFANCHANNEL not disputing that but that doesn't make bogarde the answer. Let's face it, we all knew the right back area needed strengthening

2-1 with another Duran late winner
Yesssss
We need a keeper to push Martinez because he's been shocking
Talk about hyperbole
