I lost two of my finger nails fully I’m the past 5 years. One because I got in a fight and dude literally bite my finger for 10-15 seconds 😭😭 the nail and some of the skin under came off after couple of days. I was parked on a hill, my passenger side lower than my driver side, I came back to grab something, opened the door, grabbed whatever and when I got out I the door locked on my hand because of gravity pulling it down so strong and fast 😭😭😭 The door literally got locked while my finger in between. It was winter time too, my fingers were already numb from clod. It swole, turned purple then black and after couple of weeks the dead nail just fell off.
as someone who has experienced this I confidently say this is true... Yes it is extremely sensitive until they grow back, and yes they do grow back! Thank god! This happened 6 years ago but I very much remember the time. I was around 6 - 7 years old
I was riding this weird slide at this farm, where you ride this dirty wooden slide in a cart that you need to hold onto. By the sides. And I put my left hand inside of this little gap between the little wall that prevents the cart from falling off. And I went huddling down the track and halfway through my finger scraped the wood at a pretty fast pace and my fingernail on my pinky was off 😜
I had scarlett fever in high school (which is pretty rare already for how old I was) but it led to all of my fingernails slowly shedding off until the majority of them were gone and the nail bed was touching the air around 65 or 70% of the nails. It felt like constant tiny pins and needles on the exposed bits (think how your nose feels when its really cold outside) and were incredibly sensitive to pressure
I've lost a nail as a kid and the thing I remenber the most is a strange tingling sensation after the pain stopped and the time it took to grow another one. Its a super strange process
My grandad had his pinky nail ripped off in a motorcycle accident. It never grew back properly. He now has what looks like a goat horn growing out of the middle of where his nail would be.
I don't know if losing them ALL makes it take longer but 6 months is a BS timeframe for losing one. I've done it before, tore out a thumbnail once and it took about 2 months. The insane sensitivity of the exposed area kinda numbed off after a week. It became rougher to the touch and not weepy like an open wound. When it healed, it healed a lil wrong. Too wide on the sides, cut into the sides of the finger. Needed medical correction where they basically slimmed off 5% of the nail either side and burned the nailbed with acid to prevent regrowth. Have one thumbnail slightly more slender than the other. The soft tissue under the nail becomes rough skin quite fast, meaning it's not painful for too long.
I once tried pick a large cartot from a bag they were larger than my hand i pulled it with my thumb idk how hard i did it but my thumb nail just got lifted and didnt realise it till later 👍
Ugh..I remember when my pinky fingernail was destroyed when it got crushed by a rusty metal door that a kid accidentally closed. The blood dripping was immense! I imagine it must've hurt like hell if my 12 year old self's shock wasn't masking it lol.
I had like a mouth hand foot disease or something like that, i had bandages around my fingernails, after few months when i took it off, i saw my old fingernails(stuck on the bandage) and my new ones(on my fingers)

Just dont get it wet,or let dirt inside until your new nail have nearly fully grown. I used fabric Plaster because the material absorbed sweat without getting loose easily and could handle rain, where the plastic one came off with sweat. In a hot climate the plastic one held 1 day and the fabric one lasted 3 days until it looked disgusting and wasnt holding the nail in position anymore
Glad you are okay now 👍. Losing fingernail is really painful but thank God the fingernail grew back and you did the research before something worse happened and shared it too 👍😊
I wouldnt want to lose a fingernail 💀 poor bro
moral of the story is *don't magically lose all your finger nails*
I lost a chunk of my finger recently and i got this video, that a bit funny to me.
“can you get my credit card?”
“sure just give me 6 months”
I lost nail in an accident once, weirdest feeling ever and the nail area is really sensitive, grows back as it used to be of course
Same.. It's not like before.
@@misha5728 it does grow back normal, i took a hit from a heavy object, nail turned purple, fell and grew back after months
I’ve had my nail cut off. Hurt like hell and was sensitive. When it grew back I had a black line in between where it was cut lol.
Does the whole part where it should be bleed?
@@Dora-xi5ob no bleeding happend to me
I can already feel the tingly fingers through the screen 😭
SAME
Fingernails flying away? Nightmare fuel.
You're everywhere, can I even escape you!?
I have lost my nail before. When i was 7 or something, me and my older brother were fighting over the front seat and he and a few weeks later I lost my finger nail.
This is the one short i couldnt take from this guy. I nearly pass out getting my nail caught on something I will NOT imagine this lmao
