Jaguar is falling like vehicles under Rover Group, especially the Road Rover vehicles _(the Rover vehicles that are meant for Road travels, whereas off-road Rover vehicles are Land Rover vehicles)._ Jaguar is one of the last surviving Road Rover vehicle company, but thrives on Tata Group and its UK subsidiary JLR, the other one had been MG which was once under Rover Group.
Jaguar had faced many turmoils in its entire history before and after being bought by Rover Group, Daimler-Chrysler group, Ford Group, and Tata Group. Jaguar in its entire history has always been associated with Road Rover vehicle companies namely MG, Leyland, Rover, Mini, Austin, etc. Many Road Rover companies and cars have been discontinued, a couple of them survived and merged with other established brands namely Mini is now a BMW company, Leyland is now Ashok Leyland, MG is now under SAIC, etc. Although Jaguar is under Tata Group's JLR, Jaguar has a rough history with its vehicles when thinking about it's long term reliability as a luxury car brand.
Road Rovers are discontinued because of tumbling down of the British car industry, and mainly the British economy car makers and premium economy car makers have suffered the most, and at that time, Jaguar suffered too, which resulted in heavy bleeding of shares for their long term ventures -- Land Rover is separate from the Road Rover list list because they has always been exceptional in the British car industry in terms of its Off-road capabilities, Rolls Royce has been a super luxury car maker as well as an Airplane engine _(aviation engine)_ maker, and Aston Martin as a high performance car maker. Jaguar is trying to be like Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, and Land Rover. Jaguar has lost its core identity and will cease to exist in the future and it will be the second last Road Rover company to be dissolved before MG.
