Just bought the Alesis Drums Command Mesh SE Kit - Electric Drum Set with Quiet Dual Zone Mesh Pads as my very 1st ever electronic drum kit & it arrives January 3rd 2024! Thanks So Much For The VERY HELPFUL POSITIVE VIBES VIDEO Br❤ther! You Rock & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU! 🥂🍻👍😎🥳💕✨✨✨
I found out my Surge kit high hat pedal is only on and off. I upgraded to the "real/hat continuous" Alesis high hat pedal. I also upgrade my Surge kit module to the Command Advanced module but with that being said I also had to order the Command Advance snake so the Command Advanced module mount would except it fitting wise. Waiting on the ordered Command snake.
Anyway, for the price point it is still a decent kit. Play ability is pretty comfortable mesh heads wise and cymbals. Wildly the bass drum pedal is acceptable also. After tweaking a bit feels similar to my Tama Iron cobra pedal I use on my acoustic kits. That was a big surprise.
This module is streets ahead of the Nitro range, it's also 10 x better than the DM10. Great review - usually a guy does a drum solo for 10 minutes on the same kit, or leaves the toms out and just a beat on the snare ignoring the rest of the kit! 😱
Question: I've checked everything, And my Snare Trigger is intermediate and I cant Adjust it.. I get no reading on the module for the snare Trigger..Any Suggestions or is it shot already? The kit is 2yrs.old Any Advice is Greatly Appreciated..This is my 1st. Electric Kit...
My only beef with this kit is I wished they had concentrated more on acoustic factory kits. Most of the factory odd ball kits will never be used on this end.
@@albiesnyder412 Bad advice. The module and sound quality of the samples is way better in the Command versus the surge. If you can fork out the extra $200 go for the Command.
Greetings from Ecuador I acquired An alesis command mesh but I have a question how I can do it so that in the module by Left I get only the kick and for the Right toms and cymbals thank you for your reply
Is the high hat still just open or closed like on the Surge DM7X module? This is my biggest beef with this module! If that issue has gone away with the Command module I will up grade just for this very reason.
Three levels but four sounds. closed, open, half. And there's a chick sound if you hit the foot pedal right. When the pedal is fully depressed + pad strike=closed sound; foot pedal not depressed at all + pad strike =open; fairly quick release + pad strike + close=partial open; really quick foot press and release=chick splash.
@@ekimnavillus4452 Hi-hats aren't an Alesis strength. The Command/Crimson/DM10 MK II & Pro are essentially the same module (looks and guts). Above that, the Strike module (which is quite good) launched with some hi-hat issues. The Strike Pro SE appears to have helped with that as they changed the hi-hat controller. I really like that Strike Pro SE set and module update, would love to own.
Hello. I'm considering buying this kit. I have a few questions. Is it easy to rearrange/possible the drums? For example, I like playing a three piece set (Snare, tom, floor tom). Is it expandable? Like can I add more cymbals or toms? Thanks!
Great demo! It's wonderful to see an accomplished drummer playing an e-kit to demo this brand. Nothing worse than some music store flunky who "dabbles" in drums trying desperately to play drums on a video to sell an e-kit.
Nobody ever plays a typical jazz hi-hat sizzle on these e-drum demo videos. I suspect it's because all of the electronic hi hats suck until you get into some serious money. This is what's preventing me from getting into a e-drum kit to get back into drumming. Have to spend close to $2k to get one with a semi-realistic high hat.... (Roland td-17 or something).
Depends on what you want. The 522k sounds better (in my opinion) and will probably last longer, but the command mesh has mesh pads and is a bigger kit. You should also look at the roland td17k or td1dmk
Just picked up a commander mesh kit today and i am IN LOVE! It’s FANTASTIC!

Thank you for making this video hopefully I'll be getting this kit or the Surge

I know replying to myself but anyway, all the Alesis upgrades worked perfectly by the way. So I now have a Command kit.
They sound really good for the price. And I’m not normally a fan of electronic kits.
Thank you so much. This is by far the best demo of this great kit.Made my decision easier..this kit is minnneee!!! lol

You can always edit and import different sounds. That's what I've done with mine and I love this kit!!!
The drum samples are a totally quite good for a kit this price.
What is the difference between this and the crimson 2 I'm trying to decided which to buy
is this better than the nitro mesh? im a beginner and just trying to save up for a kit to practice and have fun
Yes, but the only real difference is the module. If you've got the money spring for this but I'd say good middle ground is the Alesis Surge.

I have orderd one kit today from #shalumusicmumbai after watching your video. thanks for your video. Love from Assam India

How do you download more kits? I just got a command mesh x, kicks ass. Addicted
are you able to plug in a phone to play along with spotify or music and hear both?
Yes I have one and you can do that!!!!

The hi hat is a hi hat. Open and closed !
Are there any other ways to get better realistic sounds out of this kit? Really curious because I don't want to buy a $1,700 electronic drum kit.
Well, though I don’t own it, I hear you can import your own samples. You could also always buy something like easy drummer and plug it in via midi
Hey, thanx for the demo, can you add another tom and cymbal maybe a three way to this set
How many phases of a hi hat does it have (open-close) is it just open and closed or are there in between sounds as well?

Joe G thanks Joe. Seems to be the only kit ive been looking at that has more than 2 positions available

How does this compare to the Crimson 2?
Crimson 2 is superior in everyway, especially the special edition with upgraded mesh heads!

Yes it’s easy to set up and fun and easy u an aranange the drums a little and add more drums/cymbals
Can I turn a tom into a ride cymbal?
Bought the command today? Why are my symbols not choking?
But can it do the opening drum sequence from EastEnders?!😎 Lol
lol

That 3rd setting was very Def Leppardy
Who have the parameter for play rimshot ?(for reggae)

Yeah the hi hats aren’t the greatest in the world, but for me they do the job. But I play all sorts of stuff ranging from jazz to heavy metal sooo
Whats a good monitor that goes with this?
I have the Alesis Strike Amp 12 monitor and it kicks ass. Highly recommended. For $350 it sounds loud, crisp, clear and is very powerful.
What about the rimshot?
You have to chose the rim sound you want and assign it to the snare or whatever . It works just have to play with rim to head adjustment
E-kit - 2 kits that you can use but then the toms sounds like shit. The rest 99,8 are sounds and kit you use ONCE.
522k or Alexis command mesh?
I prefer the command
