I struggle a lot with rhythmic ideas at the piano. This video was short and to the point and quite excellent - thank you so much for making it. In watching this I realise that in all of the hundred (thousands?) of piano videos I have watched on RUclips, almost none of them focus on rhythm. Keep making content like this! 👍

Elton also adds a lot is sus2 (country thirds) as incidentals. He also bounces around inversions of the triads and adds 5ths in the bass…in other words he’s a great piano player. Nice presentation 👏

    Wow this lesson is amazing!
When I was played piano as a kid/teenager, I had a feeling of it sounding bland and boring, specially leading up to the chorus. I thought people were adding chords. When I tried it sounded wrong. Now I get the key, it's to delay part of the chord/adding the extra tone to the base, but always keeping within the same chord.
Eventually I picked up guitar and played it for years, but every couple of years/months I feel the urge to try the piano again. Learning on one instruments also improve my skill on the other.

Hey, thanks for this great lesson. I am very curious why when the left hand is adding 5ths that on the Bb/D you are playing a1/2 step higher than the 5th with the Bb? And then with the Cm/Bb your playing a whole step past the 5th with the G..? Then on the F/A you are playing a half step higher than the 5th to the F.? I love the clarity of your lesson, and am very curious what the reason is for these. I always try and understand as deep as I can, as Im learning. The musical map is fascinating to me. Thanks for making it easy to navigate!

Vou acompanhar seu conteudo aqui em inglês porque acho que você vai acabar postando muita coisa legal que no canal em português tinha sido postado há milênios e ia dar um trabalhão pra voltar lá atras!
