You are underated 😍.. Love your lesson there is nothing on RUclips who can teach better piano like you... God bless you... I wish you go millions miles💗
What an excellent teaching style 👍...You made this so clear and understandable even for a self taught beginner like myself....Probably my greatest difficulty is acquiring good rhythm...Thank you for your efforts and generously sharing your skills.
I like seeing the progression of how the artist might have been thinking theoretically when they put a song together. Definitely helpful for me thanks for making this, I’ll check out more.
I struggle a lot with rhythmic ideas at the piano. This video was short and to the point and quite excellent - thank you so much for making it. In watching this I realise that in all of the hundred (thousands?) of piano videos I have watched on RUclips, almost none of them focus on rhythm. Keep making content like this! 👍
Great lesson! You’re an excellent teacher! Your step by step approach makes so much sense and teaches so much along the way. That Roland piano (Fantom?) you’re playing sounds great, too.
Elton also adds a lot is sus2 (country thirds) as incidentals. He also bounces around inversions of the triads and adds 5ths in the bass…in other words he’s a great piano player. Nice presentation 👏
Wow this lesson is amazing! When I was played piano as a kid/teenager, I had a feeling of it sounding bland and boring, specially leading up to the chorus. I thought people were adding chords. When I tried it sounded wrong. Now I get the key, it's to delay part of the chord/adding the extra tone to the base, but always keeping within the same chord. Eventually I picked up guitar and played it for years, but every couple of years/months I feel the urge to try the piano again. Learning on one instruments also improve my skill on the other.
Hi Milo This is the best video on sing and play ( as you play the patterns while applying it to the singing backtrack). Pls do more patterns with passing notes and maybe walking bass. Appreciate the pdf as well . Excellent 👏👏👏
Wow! that's great how you teach piano lesson super easy to understand with the people like me willing to learn how to play piano .thank you I'm done subscribe to your channel.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I've just bought a piano and I have no idea... I'm vocalist and guitarrist. I think this will help me... Thanks a lot, very clear!
Great Lesson!!! I read some comments and I Agree with all. You deserve all the complements!! Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Thank you for this. I cannot read music, but I know the keys on the piano. I play a little rhythm guitar and a long time ago someone showed me how to play guitar chords with the right hand on piano. You just took me to a whole other level. Thank you! (liked and subscribed)
I always have loved Elton john’s music and playing Great choice of song for your lesson! I’m 1 year in learning piano and these methods are great for me, although I’ll probably have to rewatch to take it in properly Greetings from Australia
Hey, thanks for this great lesson. I am very curious why when the left hand is adding 5ths that on the Bb/D you are playing a1/2 step higher than the 5th with the Bb? And then with the Cm/Bb your playing a whole step past the 5th with the G..? Then on the F/A you are playing a half step higher than the 5th to the F.? I love the clarity of your lesson, and am very curious what the reason is for these. I always try and understand as deep as I can, as Im learning. The musical map is fascinating to me. Thanks for making it easy to navigate!
This is a great one to learn how to do your inversions and know your chords ! Question : I don’t read music that great but I can follow what you did and I like learning my chords as well as the reading part you present - isn’t this the way you can learn more songs ?
As a beginner I'm struggling with rhythm and this is great, subscribed. Might I just comment that it would help to call out when you use an inversion since it's far from second nature at the beginner stage.
You are underated 😍.. Love your lesson there is nothing on RUclips who can teach better piano like you... God bless you... I wish you go millions miles💗
