  • The Gems are proud to present our 2024 program, 'Ghost Stallion'. Our 2024 Program explores the urban legend of the Ghost Stallion from the Owyhee Mountains. The legend goes that when travelers would get lost in the mountain, and be on their last leg, the Ghost Stallion would arrive and guide them home to safety. Our 2024 Program consists of four movements:
    1. The Legend
    2. The Fright
    3. The Stallion
    4. The Salvation
Each movement explores a different part of the story of the Ghost Stallion, and follows the story of a Cowboy who ventures out into the Owyhee Mountains, is then faced by the brutal high-desert elements, and then, when all hope appears lost, the Ghost Stallion arrives, and it is a celebration of hope and salvation the whole way home.
This video is of our third tour stop of the 2024 season, in Kennewick, WA. Every performance after Hillsboro included all performing Corps to do an instant encore, which is shown at the end of this video. The song we performed is entitled 'With All Thanks' which is arranged/composed by Chris Price. This piece evolved throughout the season to mean something very special to every volunteer, staff member, and marching corps member, which is why and how it became the Gems corps song - Esto Perpetua, Gems.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the Gems in someway, our growth and improvements we have made have been greatly thanks to all of you! So thank you!
