Laurent has definitely LOST this Salon! I'm a fan of him too, I really like Les twins, very much ! But damn this fanbase is really toxic, so many fanatics/fanboys who consider him a god that can't be beat LOL, so they can't accept when someone beats him. But no dancer is unbeatable and people have beaten him before. I noticed every time this toxicity that the fanboys here have, every time degrading whoever won against their fav and complaining about the result. Fanboys should also learn to respect other dancers and give them props, instead always complaining and talk sh*t whenever their idol loses. It's truly sad!

Objectively speaking, it's sure that Laurent lost that! I’m a huge fan of Laurent but I recognize that Sam clearly deserves the win here. Laurent seemed to be stressed and relied again on his signature moves. Whenever he does that, he loses his musicality and creativity. Kudos to Sam with such a great performance.
The judging was just with this round. Objectively speaking, Sam was better.

Laurent got smoked ! Damn Sam had a very strong round! His round was way more CONSISTENT and fluid ! He took time to Built it up, changing the rhythmic while grooving on the beat smoothly...Whereas Laurent was under stressed and very rushed, pulling out all his signature moves. He was all over the place and became messy and sloppy!...Well deserved clear WIN for Sam, he's been putting his blood on that floor. Let's give him his due and PROPS !!
I know we're all Laurent fans but be honest here. He rushed. Sam took time to breathe and work out a consistent flow. He was way more readable than Laurent, who reset and generally felt more disconnected with the song. If you've watched Sam and LO over the years you'll notice how many signatures both of them threw out. Difference is Sam's had build up connecting them. Laurent's reliance on signatures here stood out more and only made his dance feel like it was racing the clock. I wish there was another round but this win is well deserved regardless. We can appreciate both dancers without disrespecting either of them.

This was the same thing that happened with Laurent when he lost to Paradox. He let's an excellent performance of the opponents gets to him all the time. Then he sabotages his dance by being overly aggressive trying to prove to the audience that he's better when all he should have really done was to flow with the music. A clear L for Lau.
Thank you! He needs to calm down. He's too great and super experienced to still be affected by this. Dude is in his mid 30's and has reached levels that one can only dream of. He needs to be more like icee and just enjoy being there not proving anything and dance with his heart.
@@justinm2885 I think the problem with them is that they translate being called the best dancers in the world 10 years ago to meaning they shouldn't be defeated in a battle. What they fail to understand is that even the best dancers lose. They lose a lot. I see some dancers beating Paradox, Alex, Rubix at times and I wonder how? But that's the truth. You can't always win. Just let it flow and enjoy the gift of dancing. Laurent's best moments are often the moments when he doesn't feel the need to prove anything. Same with Larry. Why there's such a thing as "Workshop Larry". They let the thought of winning so bad get to their head and begin to fumble. Especially Laurent.

Laurent sometimes goes back to his pattern of rushing and dishing out power/signature moves one after the other when he feels pressured, especially when time is limited like that.

Sam matches up really well against Laurent. Even at the 7 to smoke event he was the only one to beat him multiple times.

That's not how it works. Your goal as a dancer is to dance to the music. He did exactly that. Laurent on the other hand went all out from the beginning and it cost him a win.

Laurent won that clear. Both had comparable peaks, but Sam was slow to start his first half while Laurent came in hot and stayed hot the entire round.
That means nothing in a battle. Quality over quantity and Sam showed quality in this round while Laurent panicked.

Yeah Laurent is my favorite dancer of all time, and the G.O.A.T to me but he got COOOOKED in my opinion, well done. Laurent had a good round too, but sam just went off.
I wouldn't say cooked but Sam's round was more consistent even before his spins at the end, I just felt Laurent all over the place (still a damn good round though)
I feel like Sam just hit every point he should have, flow, musicality, he had that crazy moment, it all tied together too, including the spins. Everything was all seamless. Laurent wasn't taking his time imo, what was making him so deadly to me recently was the fact the way he would take his time and build anticipation with changing speeds and being clever. He was like on go mode this whole round, before he would fake a sig then go into a groove or something in previous battles.

As someone who always go to watch battle competitions, I know that every battles are different . In a particular battle you may be good and in another battle someone can do better than you and won. Most likely the way they treat others is ultimately why💯 not to mention they're very bias if you're around them long enough you'll realize they're always around white people 💯 they're always performing for white people they even always dance to a white person's voice. When they're performing at a club the women on stage with them are NEVER black. That plays a larger role. People took notice hence why people don't work with them anymore in the states you have to work with black people constantly and consecutively to get anywhere in the industry 🤷🏾♀️💯 and that's their BIGGEST flaw💯 even every picture you've seen them take with a woman or women they're always white. They only accept work requests from white people 💯 Even they're modeling pictures are always done with white women. Well this is what happens with every fandom it's sickening. I'm a Marvel fan and it happens there every time there's bad news they go damage control mode or Playstation fanboys or in this case I'm a Les Twins fan but almost every time they lose the comment section is awful I feel such cringe. I bet if Laurent reads these fanboys/girls comments he would be pissed off with them for damage controlling. Just my 2 cents. Sams round was lacking until he saved it with the spin at the end to be honest.
Nope it wasn’t lacking, it was just right unlike Laurent who immediately went into Big energy and focusing on signature moves. Im a Les twins fan and I love Laurent but this ain’t a Disney Movie Highschool dance battle where you win by doing a ton of cool moves.
