The only time I ever cried in anime has been in One Piece, and it's been twice. When Ace died and the scene of Brooks crew playing Bink's Sake for the last time :'(

This makes me want to start over, without a doubt the best storyline in anime. I love other anime's like Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail aswell. But none of them comes close to One Piece.

you're right there are quite a few long running ones like bleach, naruto, gintama hunterxhunter etc that are still going on and are quite good however OP is the longest running manga/ anime of it's genre that can STILL compete with it's newer rivals. Op also has a very consistant story line with little if not any plot holes. Oda stated that he plans his story out weeks before the week the chapter is released unlike masashi and kubo who write as they go hence why his story is so consistant

I have to say that one of the saddest things i have ever seen in any anime or tv show is when Luffy is watching his crew getting blown away by kuma without knowing their fate. T-T it was to sad to see his dreams crushed!
