Known of that for years. Bolts, washers, nuts and one inch MDF. Stringing it together with all-thread. Been making my own since mid-80's. Paint and lacquer or vinyl coverings. Don't need to spend two arms and a foot.
There is no mdf to be found in those racks. And the diy threaded rod racks you are talking about have nothing to do with the racks presented here.

@@schnitz4 agreed, but still the DIY MFD racks will beat most 'Ikea setups' (wonky veneer chipboard) with ease.
Ya gotta' have some fat, swivel, urethane tire'd casters to go behind & feather out those dust bunnies.
Hi Love the racks annnnnnnnnnd i will order when they can ship to Australia. Question - i have Topping Pre 90 Preamp - D90 iii Dac and A90D Headphone Amp. I am looking for a small size amp as the LA90 does not have a sub output. Could you recommend one to fit the size of the Topping products as the WIIM amp noy very suitable. Thanks.

very nice looking rack...what kind of speakers are you using? I see you use chord dac...maybe that dave is decent but i know the little qutest was not so good...sold that and got a gustard r26 and it was much better...I now just use the dac built into my denon sx1 dcd sacd player...

Very nice Racks! They go a long way for good sound that's for sure. I know that when I switched from glass to 40mm coated mdf shelves, it had a bigger impact on the sound than upgrading speaker cables. The tonality warmed up, and the racks removed the glare and any ringing I was dealing with. Much cleaner sound! It just goes to show, that everything, and I mean everything has an impact on the sound of our hifi rigs. The effects are from very subtle to WOW! Thank you for this video. Excellent work as usual.
