Thank you for your message. I have been swinging clubs for 4 years, and I have to say that it is really a on going development, I have just discovered a couple of new permutations on moves that are new to me this week. Light clubs as in 1lb, 2lb & 3lb are very versatile and I would encourage your developing their handling. Larger clubs are also good for building strength, but the exercises are much more limited as the clubs get heavier.
This is an outstanding perfomance! Absolutely beautiful! It is a pleasure to watch you! Such a smooth perfomance,it is a great brain sync work, really admirable! Also good music..Like .
Wow.....alternates with the CJ 6.5 kg ones.....very well done Paul, makes me instantly wish I could be there on Friday!! I also like the finishing picture, you're looking really strong. We keep up our good training in 2012!!!
Hi Stu, Thanks for your comment, where are you based? There are a number of Indian Club makers world wide including myself, the biggest issues are freight costs, I would recommend someone relatively close to where you are based. The most important point in getting started is don't go heavy, 1lb and 2lb clubs are ideal. There is a weekend course coming up in Sheffield UK, Sept 14+15, would be good to attend maybe. I'll send you links for some of my beginner videos. Paul
I have had all these clubs made here in Australia. There is a chap in Sheffield called Mike Simpson who actually makes replicas of these clubs. Search for Sheffield Club Swingers in Google. You mentioned that you had the Cobbett & Jenkin book, there is a section in the book that gives precise details of their clubs, CJ1 is the lightest one, please be aware that these clubs are much longer than standard Military Clubs.
I think clubbells are great for leverage style workouts, and although they are defined as circular strength training, their heavy weights prevent the performance of Indian Club style movements, which to my mind explore the full circular functionality of the shoulder girdle, elbow and wrist.
Thanks for your comment. You can do these exercises with clubbells, don't think it would be quite the same. I will send you a message with the details of Mike Simpson who is based in England and sells Indian Clubs and Persian Meels, he is a lot closer to you.
@OPP102000 Thanks for your comments Simon. Lots of training in the New Year. I'm hoping to get some clubs made at around 8kgs next year, just to challenge us a bit more.
@taraswolkowinski Sounds awesome, have a great start into 2012 and I'll see you tuesday! Sorry for using Knuts account, but it's his computer and I don't know how to change it....
Hey Paul, great vid. Can you point me in the right direction to get started on the indian clubs? Any other videos, but mainly who is the best supplier of the clubs. You mention that you got them made?? Thanks for your advice. Cheers, Stu
Hello Paul, I respect for your interest on Indian clubs. How many days it took for you to learn all the techniques. I am learning the techniques what you explained. I am more interested in small club rotations because it increases the flexibility of my shoulders and brings good shape. I even try heavy ones.....

Hi Paul, great vid and a great inspiration. Do you know if clubbells are suitable for these excersises? I am thinking of the one from TACFIT - I would love to buy from you, but Norway is far away from Australia - so shipping would be pricey.
Paul, I've started looking into indian clubs and clubbells, so I'm still a beginner. Would you mind explaining why clubbells are not equivalent to indian clubs?
Always a pleasure Mohammad, glad you like the video and find it useful in your training.
Wow what an excellent video. Thanks for taking the time to narrate. And the music seemed totally appropriate. Just subscribed too.
