Imagine filming that shot at 4:00 with an old 16mm movie camera. The jointed doubletrack, mechanical bells, rocking rail cars and the NYC style paint scheme looks like something from the late 60s to 70s.
My grandfather grew up in Cadillac. Started as a lumberjack. When the timber was played out he went to work for AARR for a couple years. Then in 1915 he went to Detroit, got hired by Ford at $5 a day. Pretty good wages in those days.
