Can confirm, we did the shield k9 online course, took about 6 weeks to get from not knowing what "sit" means to full off-leash obedience with 2x15 minutes of training a day.

I can't get enough of your awesome expert training videos! Thanks a million for all you do! By your standards- I am the absolute luckiest owner of a working line GSD puppy in the whole world! I can't even believe what an amazing 4 month old I have! I think even Haz would be astounded! My pup is too good for this world! 🤭😇 I have even thought maybe she's too good to be my "pet". I'm just not worthy. I have spent 24/7 w/her for 2+ months now, slept on the floor with her, crate trained, brings me her leash, rings bells, plays roll back & throws balls to me with her mouth, lays by my 5 yr old granddaughter in public outside a shopping mall, knows names/locates by sitting. I don't think I'd be able to be what this dog angel needs me to be without Haz!!! She's got tremendous intimidating prey drive, does bite work twice a day already with good outs & honestly I'd be terrified if it weren't for all these awesome videos!!! Magnet ball is next! She just lost her first tooth and when it's time to play "pups & robbers" twice a day with adult teeth- I'm gonna need a bite sleeve! I definitely can't afford to screw up this dog's head! I think she's smarter than 90% of the humans I know 🤔

I am so glad I found your channel. 99% of your stuff I love. You work with the dog to advance them and you also try to inspire people to be better handlers. A lot of trainers I keep seeing are nothing but bullies to both handles and the dogs! Bought your book and can't wait. From Wisconsin with a 12 week gsd baby!

I am just a young professional but I agree with everything you said in this video!
I would just add that if you are competing with a dog or aim to compete it often takes longer to get the obedience picture you want, even with simple things, just by reason of finesse and precision.

Your RUclips channel has truly been a lifeline for me. I eagerly watch every single video to gather insights on caring for my Dutch Shepherd. It’s my heartfelt dream to one day afford your courses, which I believe could transform our lives. Coming from Brazil, a developing country, the financial hurdles are significant, but your teachings give me hope and motivation every day.

Great vid Haz. I'm on week two of your offline obedience course after completing the reactive course. Its like I have a different dog! He was handler aggressive and extremely dog reactive. Its taking me longer, I don't allow my dog to do anything without permission. He works for every treat. Yes I'm plugging your online course..I can't help it.

I really needed to hear the "puppy until 6 months." I have a 5 month old GSD who is learning amazingly, but I've been intense with training from day 1, this helped me realize that he's doing great and I can tone it down sometimes 👍

Great video. I like how you talk about balance and how much time you should actually be spending teaching skills. I've got an American Bulldog that is reactive to dogs and people but getting better. I accidently reinforced the reactivity I think so now I'm working to fix my mistakes. Definitely struggling to progress away from treats and still struggling with mid to higher level distraction. I get overwhelmed sometimes but it's nice to remember that it only takes a few 10 minute sessions or so per day to make good progress. I need to learn more about progressing and maintaining

However, as a non english spoken language, I feel that you talk too fast. I know I can slow it down on youtube, I often do haha.
Keep creating good content especially about the detail about workingline GSD (training and all).

I find training dogs is easy. BUT their owners, oh dear, that takes longer.
Some dog owners are very committed and I see results quickly. The curriculum I use is easy. But some dog owners cannot grasp even the easiest exercise and it takes longer to get that dog trained.

Very good information as always but I feel the frequent angle changes/camera cuts are more of a detriment to the overall video than an improvement from your older videos. Its very distracting and makes it harder to listen to what you're actually saying and the biggest value of your channel has always been the information you share.
I much prefer your talk videos where its just a consistent single angle with you head on towards the camera.
