I have to say that im using first time After Effects, and this is what ive been looking for, not just some fancy big talk about it , straight to work. People complaining about speed of video, and yet they can pause it whenever they like. I watch like 5-10 sec of video then pause and then try to do it my self, if i cant get it working i just rewind the video and thats it. Keep up , thanks!!!
that's how all videos should be on the net. so rich in information, quick, interesting funny. I was not bored for one second. May I ask you @broken if you are able to talk and work like this for real or if this is pre-recorded and cut together? I am a teacher and I struggle sometimes to talk precisely and use my mouse in such a pointed way on my daily used programs. Thanks for showing us how it's done!
this was perfect, like a crash course on how to manipulate logos, seems like a lot of people wanted the absolute beginner guide to using after effects, but you packed in so much information in just 40 mins I really don't understand why people need you to slow down. there are other videos made for just that
As an AE noob, I appreciate the speed of the tutorial. For those who think it's too fast, they need to go learn basic AE. Plus, it's a video. If you missed something, then rewind. I hate tutorials where people talk too much.
If you use a shape layer, you can animate the matte (and as a pro tip, the stroke, the fill and the paths with expressions and even pick whip actions). Lots more options instead of a solid.
There have been many comments criticizing me for the speed that I'm going at. The reason it feels fast is that I made a bunch of cuts in empty spaces where I wouldn't talk, which apparently was not a good idea. Thank you for your input, I'll keep an eye out on it for the next time for sure.
@@brokenstudiotv It's not even about the empty space that you cut out. You are assuming that everyone has used After Effects and you are absolutely flying through the shortcuts (i.e., position & opacity). Treat these tutorials like you are showing someone for the first time
@@brokenstudiotv It's not that really, it's that you're flickering all over the screen with the mouse and moving shit around when you don't even have to and also not having any pauses between each of the steps. Like many have said: slooooooow dooooown.
@@chriseckhoff3273 I wouldn't really consider this a beginner level tutorial. Someone who is just learning AE should either watch this at half or .25 speed or start with something a little easier in my opinion.
GREAT tutorial. You speak quickly, but clearly and concisely. Packed with information and have got my brain churning with ways to make my intro/branding look better! Thanks
While many of the RUclipsrs purposely increase the length of video to earn more revenue, you tried to keep it short helping us to learn quickly. Thank you so much. You are quick and creative. Please upload more tutorials..
I see a lot of people complaining about speed, and don't get me wrong, I understand. For me personally though, this was so good. My brain is a million miles an hour, and when you go through where every little thing is, it gets boring quick. As long as your foundation in computers and graphic design work is good, it shouldn't be too tough; however, if you're a beginner or you just naturally work at a slower pace, I can see where following along would be difficult. P.S. If a rookie graphic designer is reading this, believe me when I say you have to START WITH THE BASICS. Play with the software and get to know navigation and tools before you start to use them. Watching this with little to no experience is inherently gonna be tough because you're trying to learn where everything is and how it works along with what he's teaching. For the most part, you're gonna be making some dumb sh** when you start out (I know I did at least lol), but as you pool up your knowledge and experience you can get into more advanced concepts with less of a struggle. As with most things in life, practice is paramount for graphic design. Knowledge wears off when you don't use it!
So many people complaining about how fast you teach... Yo, I'm brazilian, english is not my mother language and, hell, I've learned SO F***ING much with this tutorial!!!! Thank you man, you're amazing! We should be thankful for contents like this!
I'm glad they helped! Apparently people tend to hate on shortcuts being used, which I don't get since shortcuts play a huge part in speeding up your workflow.
Honestly the best after effect I've watched so far. I was looking for a really simple straight to the point tutorial for animations so this is just perfect. Thank you so much! xx sending love from Japan.
Don't understand why people are complaining about the speed of this tutorial. I mean you can slow it down and replay it according to your learning ability. I think he covered sufficient beginner content and basic features I can look out for in AE. At the end of the day, it is still your creativity isn't it? Maybe instead of shutting people down, you should try it and figure it out on your own. I am not an expert and in fact I have never seen AE interface before. This tutorial was really helpful and eye-opening, so thank you!
lol, great energy man. People don't realize how much work actually goes into making a good RUclips video. Keep up the good work! BTW. The speed of the video was perfect! You cut out all the extra stuff that is unnecessary and got right to the point I wouldn't slow down at all, instead let people know this is for people with knowledge of how AE works.. Pretty simple. If you want to learn how to change the opacity and you don't know how to do it, this video is not for you. lol people just need something to critize
TNice tutorials is by far, the best tutorial I have found so far. I feel like I’ll be spending a lot of ti on your channel! Thanks man! Keep up the good
Hey! I'm new with After Effects and I literally just picked it up for the first time today. I'd just like to say I much prefer the speed you're going through with this video and would very much like to see more content similar to this. I understand how a lot of beginners struggle, but for people already familiar with the adobe programs and other similar software, this is a much better type of tutorial to watch. In order to avoid confusion next time, maybe introduce these kinds of vids as not entirely catered for people who are not only new to after effects but also to adobe in general? Anyway, great work!
This video was incredible. Well done man! So informative, fast, and fun. I couldn't believe I spent 40 minutes watching this because it felt like 10. Time flies when your having fun I guess haha! Keep up the great work.
