Tithing is important in Christianity. I followed Prophet Joel up to this point. Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. We should not use prophecy as a means to create a false gospel.
Why does your girlfriend or wife or sister go to the church even in her menstruation...since Jesus did not come to abolish the law,next time they are menstrating tell them to stay at home,they must not come out in obedience to the law. Rubbish.
Why does your sister,wife or girlfriend go to church when they are menstrating, Since Jesus did not come to abolish the law,tell them to obey the law next month while they menstrating by staying at home. If you don't understand scriptures pray for understanding.
My friend I do not think you understand what it means that Christ fufiled the law. Please if you have time go and read the book of Hebrews to understand what it means for Christ to fufil the law. Jesus in John 5:39 says everything in the bible is about him. The type and shadows in the old testament are the Old testament ceremonial and dietry laws that Christ fufiled. For example we do not have to kill lambs for the antonment of sin because Christ fufiled this. He is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Christ is pictured in David who is also a shepered like Christ who is OUR good shepered. While David slayed Goliath who threathened to kill the Children of Isreal, Christ slays satan and sin who threatens to kill us. That is why he is our good shepered. David was a king, Christ is King.... THese Christ fufiled. So thithing is also done away with in thesame manner the temple was done away with with it's sacrifices and symbolic offerings. That is what it means for Christ to fufil the Old Testament. God bless : )

Talking about your description of tithing, what about Luke 6: 38? Man of God, stay within your understanding of the gospel and not trying to shine by criticizing the genuine fathers of faith.
I dont understand Nigerians , why when someone point out a falsehood the call it « criticizes », when your teacher corrects your assignment is it criticism to your person ? The seems to be something wrong within this people !! So when Jesus wrote to the seven churches was it critics? If you are doing things exempted of wrong the will find nothing to say. The had nothing to say or wrong to find in Jesus when he was brought to court. In short that is what I have to say.
Tithing is not in the new testament but giving is. It's not a sin to tithe but it has no place in the New Testament. Nobody will make heaven because he or she tithe. Even the current tithe system is not what was instructed in Deut.
You are even corroborating my point giving more than tithe is okay, but giving at least the tithe is a must as said by Jesus. Moreover if you are a child of Abraham you are sinning, if you are not paying tithe

Sir, I am disappointed that this was your interpretation of what Benny Hinn said or did. 1. He apologised because he was called out in a documentary and by his nephew, he didn't do it willingly, 2. This is not the first time he is doing this "apology", 3. If you go out and apologise for what you are doing wrong and continue doing it.. then you haven't repented.

He is the Publisher of Charisma Magazine,a well known and respected. Many Christian leaders seek interview with him for some kind of credibility. Sir, with all due respect, you are not totally correct about tithing: please read how Jesus encouraged tithing in Mathew 23:23. Is tithing an act of obedience? If yes, it may lead to hell sir.
What Jesus Christ was saying has to do with neglecting the important things which is mercy , faith, judgment. He was not emphasizing on tithing as a necessity to heaven. Secondly Jesus Christ was Addressing RELIGION in that scripture. However, Tithe is good but it is not a prerequisite to making heaven sir. Lastly the tithe mentioned in that scripture and all scripture has to do with grains and food not money and even when you turn it into money, they are rules to the practice in Deuteronomy 14:22-29 kindly read especially 24-25. You will understand the practice. In my opinion sir To tithe is Gods way of teaching the children of Isreal the following;
- love each other
- feed each
- understand that he is the one that provides the food.

@@erisherm.8451 you are talking as if it is a matter of new testament. The new covenant does not stop the obedience of the law, but "graces" to obey the law. Are you a child of Abraham? Do you operate in the covenant of his blessings? Then you need to pay tithe. You can pay all you have, but it is a must for you to pay the minimum ie tithe

Only thing is that he did not really repent. He is doing damage control. He said he made some mistake. Lol A true prophet does not make mistake when it comes to the topic of prophecy: It is either 100% accurate or nothing. Real repentance from Mr Benny Hinn would resemble what his nephew Costi Hinn did. Mr Benny Hinn has to come out and say I have been a false prophet. Not " I have made mistakes, everybody makes mistake". Yes that is true, but not with prophecy. His refusal to admit that he has purposely scammed people with his false prophecies and miracle and coming out to say oh I have made mistakes is not thesame as saying " I have deliberately scammed and propagated a false gospel which I repent of". This will involve him stepping down as a pastor, selling his assets and going to a biblical sound Chruch to learn. This would also involve him warning people to flee from those who follow him and learn from him. This involves most Nigerian pastors, e.g Selman, Chris, Oyedepo etc. Those ones are stunch fans of Benny Hinn. They promote him. Anyone who cannot see that these preachers like Selman, Arome, Chris and Oyedepo who promoted Hinn are also as bad as him is self deceived. They are all thesame !

Like I said even his nephew Costin Hinn was part of his movement but have repented and is a faithful pastor today. Go search for his testimony of how he came out of the prosperity, word of faith gospel movement.
