"Most professional guitarists give the truss rod a full turn once a week" that killed me 🤣
hmm yes totally we do
we do that
I used to work at a guitar store that was a dealer for Godin guitars, the manufacturer featured here. I can 100% confirm that this video is spot-on and everything is true. I miss being the store's electric guitar taster to ensure it had the proper electric guitar taste.
@Sir Lawrence O' Trivia no no, Godin is the company. Gibson is the model, hence why it was displayed on the headstock.
That was my dream job! Sadly due to some events transpiring I can only work as the guitar's music juice balancer to ensure that the guitar has just enough music juice
I currently work at a guitar store that deals Godins. And I can just tell you, that the tasting process hasn't been the same since covid. "No, stop licking that man's guitar! He just wanted a setup done!" Ugh, fine, Mr. Rules, I'm just try'na do my job!!
@@swishfish8858 you can't blame a man for enjoying the incredible flavor and umami of a solidbody acoustic with MIDI piezo pickups. It's impossible NOT to lick.
@Sir Lawrence O' Triviathen why did you that chief don't let your mouth write a check your butt can't cash what so hes blazing on the fretboard so hes a fuckin guitar nut what's it to you huh out of observations why don't you observe while he rams the bar to the body.
It should be noted that all machines during the production process must contain dangerous heavy metals, or else the guitars would lose their edge and instead become angsty violins.
I read that last bit as "angsty virgins," and I'm gonna keep rolling with that.
@@crimson90 I read "angsty villains"

What's the deal with the 3 wood piece joke at 2:57 ?
Is that a good experience? It sounds enlightening.
@@Georg3eif you don't play guitar you won't get it even if we tried to explain it 🤷♂️
I agree. As a guitarist and guitar luthier this video had me laughing so hard I almost cried
@@Georg3ebecome a guitarist and you’ll understand
I love how these videos start out believable and even serious, and then devolve into madness within a few minutes.
That’s how I found this channel, I looked up how Funyuns are made, and my algorithm showed me how toaster pastries are made later on. Now I’m hooked to these videos lol
It reminds me of how to basic. Just turns into madness
That “bass” joke is so funny to me because I have a friend that used to genuinely think that bass (music) was pronounced bass (fish) and vice versa. To this day we still bring it up with him.
I was the same as well
Poor basstard.
So he's who gives us a bad name? Lol
You pronounce it differently?
Me being a spanish speaker literally not knowing those words are pronounced diferently:bruh
The volume knob isn't useless its actually used to annoy sound techs when amateur musicians can't figure out why their guitar is so quiet. it happens more often than it should.
Lmaoo
Another funny joke with cultural significance
Trueeee it always gets in the way when they’re palm muting and then they’re so confused while we’re sitting there practically screaming at them “ITS YOUR FUCKING VOLUME KNOB”
As a fellow guitar player, that master of puppets playthrough was top of the line, amazing quality. Huggbees could be the next Hames Jetfield.
Isn't it Jet Hamfield, whom is the lead guitarrer of The Puppet Masters?
you mean pames metfield, lead guitar? uhhhh dames wetfield rhythm guitar and vocals?
He's Name Hatfield rebirn
Lame Jetfield is a pretty great vocalist, I hear.
Nah he can be the next Jimbo handtricks
As a musician with 3 guitars, allow me to explain the complicated joke of gluing the pieces of wood together.
It’s just funny. Gluing two pieces of miter cut wood together is the funniest shit in the world. Adding a third piece just makes it absurd, which makes it funnier.
Its pretty ridiculous why they don't just leave it as one piece. I understand for the neck, because otherwise in order to get that shape you'd need to cut a bigger block of wood which is expensive, but for the body? Why cut it only to then just glue it back together? Maybe it's to make sure there's no cavity in the wood before going through that whole process and then cutting into it at the end to install the electronics only to find out it's rotted through? But aren't there ways to check that without sawing it in half??

Fun Fact: Despite being a guitarist's first song to learn, Smoke on the Water is based on an actual story.
Interesting, ya learn something new every day.
Does the actual story involve smoking on the water or fire on the rain?
Edit:Joshua Korynta and Muffin McMuffin have the correct story below.
@@traphimawari7760 Deep Purple was playing a show with the band Great White in a small venue with a low ceiling and wooden rafters. During Great White's set, a fan in the audience shot a flare gun which caught the ceiling on fire (this is stated in the song; "some stupid with a flare gun burned the place to the ground"). The title and inspiration comes from the smoke of the burning building drifting low over a nearby lake or body of water after or while the building was evacuated.
I'm pulling this out of a book I read 16 years ago so a couple of the details may be off.
@@traphimawari7760
It's about a casino that burned down next to a lake. Hence, smoke on the water.
@@lilteapot7929 but which part is the fire on the rain? Was it raining gasoline or something which burned the casino next to the lake?

As a Guitarist, I can indeed understand the comedic genius of gluing three pieces of wood together. Truly some of the funniest shit I ever seen, especially when the tuning keys turn themselves into pickles

Not gonna lie, when I was a kid, I thought electric guitars worked by electrocuting when you play it, which in hindsight is 100% more badass.

I actually use the tone knob, but my lespaul is on bridge pickup, for some reason rolling the tone pot or volume or volume on the neck pulled for single coil changes the tone. with the neck position off and the volume pulled to single coil , just on bridge , i get a bit of a Jonny Thunders tone.
