Make room in middle pan, add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil then add 2 tablespoons black bean paste. Fry the paste for 2 min then stir in the meat and veggies. Add 2 cups water, stir well. Cover on medium low heat for 10 minutes. Remove cover, stir. Prepare thickening starch. Slowly drizzle a little at a time and stir the same time. Turn off heat and add 1-3 drops of sesame oil and stir. Cook noodles (same way you cook spaghetti), rinse with cold water (to keep the noodles chewy), drain. Plate noodles and ladle hot sauce over. *Sauce is good with rice as well for those that don't like noodles

The "oil" was corn starch slurry which you add into the black bean sauce to make it thicker.
