@@jamesdaniels8007 Me too! I hope Toy Story 5 goes down the line of "Woody & Buzz reunite 100% repaired, and they end up in The Hundred Acre Woods & become Christopher Robin's toys."
I think Secret of NIMH was deliberately making the rats mysterious. I believe Don Bluth himself said that there was no explanation for Nicodemus' magic and the origins of the stone. The focus of the story is meant to be Mrs. Brisby and her journey to discover her courage and self-worth. She's overwhelmed by a situation bigger than her, so she's in over her head, but she surprises everyone by being the bravest of all. There's a subtle implication that Jonathan taught Brisby everything he knew, and not just how to read. You'll notice that the Brisby family and Auntie Shrew are the only animals besides the rats who wear clothes. I do recommend reading the original book. While I wouldn't say it's better than the movie, it does focus much more on the rats and their story. Brisby (originally Frisby) is only a minor character in the book.
I thought Toy Story 4 was…fine. I enjoyed it as a standalone movie, but it was NOT worthy of the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, and I’m still salty that it won instead of Klaus!
I wasn't too into Klaus when I first saw it, but it has really grown on me through rewatches. Now I definitely agree that it should have won that year.
Truth be told, Happy Feet was one of my childhood movies, but now I don’t really care about it that much anymore. But tbh, I enjoy the song covers, Mumble is a charming protagonist, and Robin Williams pretty much carried this movie on his back. He did a great job as Ramón and Lovelace!
I'm with you on Despicable Me. I never understood why that franchise was so popular. I always thought they were just okay. This actually goes for most of the films from that studio. Similarly, a lot of my friends really like Meet the Robinsons, but even as a kid, I just thought it was okay.
@BrianHullPlus, I respect your opinion on The Secret of NIMH!, Jerry Goldsmith's music in this movie is incredibly awesome!! Don Bluth himself with 14 animators left Disney back in 1979 to form his own production company, Don Bluth Productions but in 1979, Banjo the Woodpile Cat debuted as a television special, but back in 1980, The Secret of NIMH started production & took two and a half years to finish the movie, but on July 2, 1982, The Secret of NIMH debuted in movie theaters & it marks Don Bluth's direct to theatre debut
We'll have to agree to disagree on The Secret of NIMH. 😁 It's not just one of my favorite ANIMATED movies, it's one of my favorite MOVIES of ALL TIME. I was seven years old when I saw it in a theater in 1982. I didn't know who Don Bluth was, nor did I know about the then-recent Disney walkout. I just knew that this film had an edge to it and made me feel wonder, awe and excitement like no other film had done before (and rarely has since). It had me under its spell then, and it still does today. And just like the movie, Jerry Goldsmith's PHENOMENAL music score is one of my all-time favorites.
Brian went from choices that I agreed with/understood from where he was coming from to suddenly saving one of my all-time favorite movies for last. Bruh!
I agree about happy feet and Toy Story 4. these movies are more I don't understand the hype I can see how they are good but I don't understand the hype. 1 frozen, 2, lilo and stitch ( it felt like two separate movies then one cohesive plot I loved everything about lilo and Nani's relationship but all the alien plot felt out of place to me - I like stitch as a character). 3 Wall-e, 4 how to train your dragon 3 (loved 1 and 2 and all of the shorts but 3 felt off). 5. most animated adult shows ( I love Hazbin hotel and Helluva boss but I don't enjoy any of the others I've tried to get into. )
I'm definitely with you on Despicable Me, Brian. I honestly will never understand why this franchise is popular. Those movies are just... okay. Not anything special, just okay. And to be quite honest, I never cared for Illumination's movies either. They either make movies that are average or just flat out awful.
I don't understand why people didn't like the Powerpuff Girls Movie. I know they say that it's dark and little boring, but I saw tons of other movies like that and people love those!! It feels like more people like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland than the Powerpuff Girls Movie. I'm not saying that I don't like it, but it just feels like a different movie. You can like any movie you like because I wouldn't judge anyone. It's just that this version of Alice in Wonderland was dark because it didn't have the same vibrant feeling you get when you see any other versions, and that one MONSTER was creepy. (Like any scary Jim Henson movie)
Really solid list overall. I was so worried you were going to put captain underpants on this list! Honestly one of the most underrated animated movies in recent years. My favourite book series as a kid as well. I highly recommend it.
I never know what experience I'm going to get with a DreamWorks Animation film, considering how the quality of their stuff is all over the place, but I did enjoy Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, mostly for how absurd in an entertaining way it was. It could have used a sequel honestly, and I'm not counting the series, considering how drastically different it is.
@@camdencoblentz3245 yeah definitely. There is a dog man movie in development coming out next year which is a spin-off to captain underpants so hopefully that turns out good as well.
I liked Happy Feet because my late best friend Sam had a condition that made him walk a different way and I called him Mumble, like happy feet and I found it to be a cute nickname for him.
I completely AGREE with you on Toy Story 4. It really was NOT needed. Also, what was the entire point of Andy giving the toys to Bonnie and having a heartfelt goodbye with them, only to have her turn around and do what she did in 4. Just...BOO. -.- And actually, I agree with you on MOST of your points (I did used to watch Family Guy in its' earlier days but it just got worse as time went on. :/)...hell I even kind of agree on the Secret of Nimh one, but I still love it because of the art. ^^; As far as movies I dislike that Everyone Loves... 1. The Minions Movies 2. Chicken Little 3. The Super Mario Bros Movie (I thought it was too rushed, didn't like Peach's voice and Luigi wasn't in it enough. :( I did like Bowser though! ) 4. Boss Baby (This is probably the only Dreamworks franchise I dislike completely. xD) 5. Wreck it Ralph 2 (not as good as the first. Also I feel like Vanellope and Ralph were way too out of character...)
I'm totally with you on these, Brian. With the exception of Secret of Nimh, which I've never watched and therefore don't have any opinion on, I too cannot stand (or simply don't get) any of these movies/show, either. 😬 I was especially mad at Toy Story 4 beause it really did not feel like a satisfying continuation to what 3 did. I was not at all opposed to getting more Toy Story (especially with how fun the shorts that came out after the third one were), and like you said, I too respect the message. But this did not feel like the right story to tell it. Everyone felt so out-of-character. Some of the choices made were straight-up weird. It was overall a huge letdown, and I can't say I'm looking forward to the 5th one, but if they're making it either way, I at least hope they'll fix some of the stuff that went wrong in that 4th.
Brian, please do more videos like this! This reminds me of content you used to do years ago and I love it 5 animated movies I hate... 1.Secret Life of Pets! 2. Brother Bear! 3. Toy Story 4 4. Incredibles 2 5.The Minions Movies (Not despicable me tho I love those)
I haven't seen Toy Story 4 myself, and don't really plan to either. I agree with Brian here, that the story should've ended with Toy Story 3. I mean, the original started with Andy and Toy Story 3 ended with Andy passing his toys to a young child when he left for college. There, original kid leaves the story, have it end there. I admit though, that after the 'hand down' I was a little curious as to what would happen with a new owner, but even so, with the original toy owner no longer in the story, just go ahead and 'quit while you're ahead'.
They are...... and its very unnecessary 😑 and Personally I could care less about A Toy Story 5 I'm just more excited for a moana Sequel Surprisingly coming this year and Two more of the Frozen Sequels.
Honestly, there’s some similarities between Happy Feet and Moulin Rouge: -Both are jukebox musicals -Both are co-produced in Australia (and made by talented Australian directors) -Both feature Nicole Kidman -Both we’re initially acclaimed and received a lot of attention at the Oscars only to be looked back upon as overhyped and overrated. Personally, I love both movies, but I can perfectly understand why one wouldn’t. I sometimes wonder why I love ‘em myself.
I will never understand you not liking Happy Feet or NIMH! But the other Three I totally get! Toy Story 4 in particular was a big one! I totally get the Family Guy thing! It’s definitely not for everyone! And the older I get the more I understand why people don’t like it!
Forgive me, oh great animation gods, for I am about to confess a very hot take that will surely rub some people the wrong way: I actually don't enjoy WALL-E and SPIRITED AWAY as much as the next person does. I will acknowledge that the animation in both films is meticulously superior above everything else. Both films are great in that regard. Here's why I can't throw my hat behind these films: Where WALL-E specifically loses me is its attempt to emotionally direct me to care about the characters in the story and the environment they inhabit. And personally, I just don't think science fiction as a whole does a great job making characters that likeable or even worth the time to understand. So to put the concept in animated form? Yeah, I don't get it. Whereas with SPIRITED AWAY, I just think the film is TOO long to follow everything that's going on. And similar to your issue with NIMH, I also believe there's too many plotlines to follow and make sense of it all. In short, although they are regarded as great works of art, I have a hard time going along with the flow for both films.
If I’m being honest, I haven’t really seen a whole lot of Family Guy or The Simpsons before. But that’s mostly because I was born in 2005 and was more obsessed with kid animated sitcoms. I might need to give them a watch sometime. But I feel like it might be too late.
Here are my thoughts on your picks: 1. In that case, leave the Family Guy impressions to me, I know a lot about that show and used to love it before it went through seasonal rot. 2. As much as I liked it, I completely understand every word you said about it. IMHO, they should’ve just stuck with the shorts and specials after Toy Story 3. And what you said about how the messages taught in the fourth installment could also apply to the mere concept of the movie, “Thomas and The Magic Railroad,” the concept of a crossover between “Thomas the Tank Engine” and “Shining Time Station,” the PBS Kids sitcom that introduced American audiences to the little blue puffball, in and of itself, is brilliant, but the overall execution is… a mixed bag of good and bad qualities. But hey, at least they brought Diesel 10 in the continuity of the TV series! 3. That’s another movie I liked, but I still understand why you don’t, a lot of the humor is hit and miss, but the ending of the first movie was wholesome and entertaining. 4. I liked Happy Feet a lot, but I respect your opinion on it. 5. I hadn’t seen it until my twenties, but I still enjoyed it wholeheartedly. Even so, I won’t lie, what you’re saying about how confusing the plot was makes sense. P.S. What’s your opinion on two the two British hit cartoons, Danger Mouse (classic and modern) and Count Duckula, and the CGI animated series, “Sitting Ducks”?
So I haven't seen Secret of NIMH or read the book it was based on but one of my favorite RUclips channels, Overly Sarcastic Productions, recently came out with a trope talk video on the "Small mammal on a big adventure/in a big scary world trope" and Red actually talks about how in the book version, the mice and rats that weren't experimented on aren't bipedal and clothes wearing, so the whole "why are the rats special" doesn't really apply there. She also seems to have several bones to pick with how the movie changed that.
Here are my thoughts: 1. Never watched Family Guy, never will. 2. Toy Story 4 had one good thing - the duck and bunny characters who always fantasized about attacking the antique shop owner. That was pretty much it. 3. The first Despicable Me was just okay. The girls (particularly Agnes) were cute, and Vector was hilarious. That's about it. 4. I've never seen Happy Feet, but my parents have. They've told me Cars is a better film. I would likely agree with that, since I consider Cars to be pretty underrated. NOT Cars 2. That film is trash. 5. I've only seen the secret of NIMH once, and it was over a decade ago. I'm with you when ot comes to the animation. But keep in mind, it's based on a book. I don't know how faithful it was to the source material, as I never read the original book, but I think it's pretty good. This is the only one on your list that I disagree with. I can understand why you don't like it. The story seems to be going several different places at once. But I personally like it.
I would say Brian is more respectful towards anyone he disagrees with. AniMat had to make a huge deal about his hatred towards Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania movies.
For some of the movies Brian didn’t like, I was just enjoying all the music. I wasn’t paying much attention to the storyline. Happy Feet is the main example I have for the music side.
This is the case for our family when we watched _How to Train Your Dragon 2_ when it was first released. *All 9 of us* thought several aspects of the plot and characters were "stupid" and "dumb". When hearing that so many love this film, I now want to rewatch it to see if it's as good as everyone says it is!
I definitely like the first film and even own a Blu-ray copy, but the second film legitimately made me angry, which hardly ever happens with me regarding film. The major event in the middle (avoiding spoilers for any potential non-viewers) ticked me off, mostly for how it was done, and there were other problems I had with it elsewhere. The third film was automatically better than the second for me, but the damage was done. Plus, there were issues I had with the third film as well.
Wow, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has hot takes about these movies 😂 (I’ve never seen Secret of Nihm, I’ve only read the book and that was ages ago so I don’t remember the plot much at all either haha)
Here's my list, in no particular order: -The land before time -Cars -Any Illumination movie that isn't The Super Mario Bros. Movie (one of my favorite movies) or Despicable Me 1 -Trolls -Happy Feet (I'm still salty that it won Best Animated Feature despite using MOTION CAPTURE.)
A movie others like that I never got into as much is Toy Story 3. It’s not a bad movie but I always felt it was hyped up more than it deserved. I’ll go ahead and head out now before the flame wars start.
For me, the animated movies everyone loves but I don't are: "The Secret of NIMH", "Aladdin", "Moana", "Shrek" (all entries), and "Lilo and Stitch". As for the animated shows: "Adventure Time", "Kim Possible", "Chip N' Dale: Rescue Rangers", the original "DuckTales", and "The Proud Family".
I had to study the book of The Secret of Nimh at school and we also watched the film as part of that study here in the UK when I was around 13 I think. The book is soooo much better.
I honestly think "the Rats of NIMH" is an acquired taste. It was big when I was a kid, I loved it (the sequel was terrible though). I was an 80s baby, so I was deep into that style of storytelling... the adventure style with the creepy undertones . Well, I've been called weird because of it....movies like that and the Black Cauldron were some of my favorites, I loved that horror sneaking in. But, you might find that the book it was based off could clear up some questions. Look for the book "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH" The necklace is not in the book, that was only added for the movie... I don't understand it either. However to answer the question: the animated movies i don't like...(please no hate here) any of the Barbie movies. Maybe it was my age, maybe it was I preferred action figures to Barbies. The stories, the acting, the animation style...just didn't peak my interest.
Secret of nimh is not bad! Just the mashup song scene in Happy feet is ok while the others you mentioned are not my favorite even though Johnny depp is in couple family guy eps
I can respect your opinion, even the secret of NIHM (I also didn’t care for happy feet) Here 5 animated properties I don’t like but everyone else loves (no particular order) 5.Trolls World Tour 4.Lady And The Tramp 3.Phineas & Ferb 2.South Park 1.Pokémon I Choose You The Movie
@@RoseQuartz692 umm no, that title goes to The Amazing World of Gumball, Spongebob, Bobs burgers, DarkWing Duck, Ed edd n Eddy, Regular Show, Smiling Friends, Kim Possible, Chowder, Hey Arnold. Actually if I named all the episodic cartoons that are better then Phineas&Ferb we would be here all day, don’t see why people love that show
@TheBatIsRad6436 Gumball has never been interested same goes to Chowder and Darkwing Duck and Ed Edd & Eddy Regular show I watched 10 Years ago around 2013-2014 and Family Guy is the only interesting adult cartoon SpongeBob I haven't watched in years Hey Arnold never been interested in Kim Possible never seen a full episode off and never heard about Smiling Friends
***SPOILER WARNING*** No. The Secret of NIMH book is pretty much the same story wise, the whole backstory of the rats and what makes them so intelligent is explained. But also, there is no use of magic in the book at all. That was just added in the film for some reason, a plot device or something. I mean the story is perfectly fine without magic, I don't know why they felt the need to include it in the film. And don't worry, Jeremy's character in the book isn't what you see in the film. He doesn't really do much in the book, but he does help the story progress in terms of helping Mrs Brisby (who is also called Mrs Frisby in the book, no idea why they changed it) and her family; mentioning the Great Owl and taking her there, as well as giving her family a ride to their summer home at the end. But that's just because she helped him; he was caught in wire and she saved him - like we see in the film. Also a key difference I should mention is that the book doesn't have a villain. Jenner is mentioned in the book, but we're told by Nicodemus that Jenner and a bunch of other rats left those who escaped due to a major disagreement and are later hinted that he and the group of rats died. Whereas the film he is there, and wants to kill Nicodemus... he was clearly only included for an antagonist role because obviously the story needed it. No, no it clearly didn't and the book will prove it. But yeah. I can understand where your coming from Brian, the animation and score are gorgeous - you can tell why it's considered one of Don Bluth's best films. I've just recently rewatched it due to reading the book beforehand; the film makes the plot quite convoluted especially with the whole magic thing. I do recommend the book though if you haven't read it, the book is superior to the film. Was this helpful?
To answer your question, Mrs. Frisby was changed to Mrs. Brisby because after the book was published, frisbees became popular again, and the word was copyright claimed.
I'm now really curious of Brian's opinion on one animated movie in particular. It's an old one. Watership Down. I haven't seen it in ages, but I remember it being extremely dark.
I felt Despicable Me was a good movie, but the sequels, none of them (except for maybe Rise of Gru) really even came close to hitting that mark again. While the first one was about a villain who had a change of heart through adoption, all the others felt like they just turned the direction to generic spy film, which I guess can still be fun, but after what I felt were the heights of the original, they just did not feel like the sequels I would've hoped for.
It’s not that I think it’s bad, but I wasn’t that interested in Simpsons. Also, while I love Frozen 2, I’ve grown a tad disinterested in the original Frozen. I can still enjoy it, it’s just Frozen 2 worked better with the fandom.
The only movie I seen out of your ranking is toy story 4 and I’m one of those people who like it but I will admit woody leaving the Gange at the end was sad but I’m one of those people who likes and loves these toy stories and I’m good on that.
Toy Story 4 trust me you’re not alone when you say you don’t like it heck i don’t even care much about the 3rd one that said it has a reason to exist one example of an animated film everyone else likes but I don’t care for is lilo&stich
Animated films that I find overrated, but others don't: 1.) Free Birds 2.) Igor 3.) The Emoji Movie 4.) Shark Tale 5.) Rover Dangerfield 6.) The Trumpet of The Swan 7.) The Christmas Dinosaur I'll never understand why any of these had cult following.
I completely agree with most of your opinions on this list. I haven't seen Toy Story 4 and I like Secret of Nimh, but I can understand why you have issues with it. There are only 4 other movies that I don't like(although 2 of them I do enjoy a little but don't really get the hype). They are Bambi, The Polar Express, Treasure Planet and Encanto. I find Bambi visually beautiful but the story is boring. The Polar Express is creepy looking and too long. Treasure Planet and Encanto are the 2 here I don't hate, but don't really like either. Treasure Planet has some nice visuals and a touching dynamic between the hero and villain, but the writing brings it down. Encanto has some great songs and characters, but not enough time to develop everything.
you have to have not read the book to say give us Miss Brisbee OR the rats of Nimh but not both, not Miss Frizzby and the rats of Nimh. the film deviates from the book by making all the animals anthropomorphic and theres a magic amulet. in the book the rats clearly think more human than the field mice. the magical element added in can be a positive or a negative. nostalgia critic said the amulet adds more to the story so there are elements that represent nature, science, and the unknown/faith. I think all stunningly animated Don Bluth films are also odd stories with moments that make you go whuuuu?
I HATE FAMILY GUY AS I HATE HELL! I feel like a brain cell and a piece of my soul dies whenever I see a clip from that show. Toy Story should have ended with three. It had closure and the perfect farewell. Four, to me, was just a response to "NO! Woody and Bo Peep together forever!" And the fact that there’s possibly going to be a fifth: Pixar, you're beating a dead horse. Despicable Me and Happy Feet, I've never seen and am making no plans to. As for Secret of NIMH: you know what? No movie is perfect. Everything you said is correct. As a kid though, I never questioned it, thus I still have fond memories of it and as an adult I love the visuals, the story, and the characters, so I say the good outweighs the bad for this case. But everyone is entitled to his or her opinion so I respect yours, Brian.
5. Family Guy is one of the few adult cartoons I love, but most people prefer the Simpsons over it. 4. I personally think all the Toy Story movies are A+ pictures, but I think branding Toy Story 3 as the Citizen Kane of animated films is a bit much. 3. I personally think all the Illumination movies are underrated...except for the Minions spin-off...and the Dr. Seuss adaptations. 2. I'm kinda iffy about Happy Feet. 1. I'm not going to hold anything against you for hating the Secret of NIMH even though I love it and the other Don Bluth films in the 80's.
Not gonna lie I loudly gasped when you said you didn't like the secret of nimh but then you explained it and I was thinking yea that's fair I'm just not used to hearing people say they don't like the secret of nimh 😅 it's the other Don Bluth films I'm used to hearing them say they don't like lol
I agree with not liking Toy Story 4, not only for all the reasons you stated, but because it also felt incredibly disrespectful to the previous movies and Andy. He trusted Woody to Bonnie because she really seemed to want him and promised to take really good care of Woody... and then not only neglects him, she literally never noticed Woody went missing. Andy SHOULD have kept Woody, because at least he wouldn't still have had someone who cared about him Asian from the other toys. And don't get me started on what they did to Buzz and dropped his IQ significantly. As for the Despicable Me sequels? I'm good with the original and 2. It's 3 and beyond where I lose all interest
My Take on Brian's Disliked Movies 1. Family Guy- I'm with you there Brian. I don't like Family Guy, or Adult Animated Sitcoms in general. 2. Toy Story 4- I AGREE WITH YOU! It SHOULD'VE ended with 3! I was greatly dissappointed when Woody decided to leave Bonnie behind (Maybe he'll find Andy in Toy Story 5?) 3. Despicable Me- Um.....this *maybe* be the one I disagree on with Brian. Well mainly because Despicable Me is my comfort franchise. But I've had bigger hype for other animated media so I'm not upset. 4. Happy Feet- TBH I barely remember this movie other than the part where he dances for a little girl lol 5. The Secret of Nimh- Never saw this movie I don't know if I have five movies/shows that I don't get or like but everyone else likes but here are the ones that come to mind: 1. Turning Red 2. Zootopia 3. The Owl House (I'M SORRY I DON'T GET THIS ONE) 4. (I'm sorry but) Steven Universe (Neutral) 5. (This one I have neutral feelings about but) Shrek
Oooh mentioning the Owl House is interesting. Do you mind talking about what you don't like about it? It's not my absolute fav but I definitely enjoyed it so I'd love to hear what you think :D
Y’all, no hate but everyone has their likes and dislikes, some people loved Toy Story 4, some people didn’t like it and wish the story ended on the 3rd movie, but here we are with Toy Story 5 in the making, also maybe they’re not a big fan of the humanoid animals in zootopia, I hope all of you have a nice sunny day!
Dude I have to agree with all of the movies you mentioned here. Though I have to admit I never saw the Secret of the Nimh so I don't have an opinion about it. As for animated movies/shows movies that people love that I hate... 1. Frozen 2. Rick and Morty 3. Adventure Time 4. Open Season 5. The Road to Eldorado (I feel this one will get me the most hate) 6. SpongeBob Squarepants (I HATE THIS WITH A PASSION) 7. Avatar: The Last Air Bender and The Legend of Korra (It's a love hate relation with this series. Some things just really ruin it for me) 8. Madagascar 9. Trolls 10. Some Tim Burton movies. (Not all but a decent amount.)
Okay Brian...ya had me wtih Family Guy...yad had me with Toy Story 4...ya had me with Despicable Me...ya had me with Happy Feet...but ya LOST me with Secret of Nimh XD
Five movies I don’t like that everyone else seems to like, I’ll probably go with Sing (I don’t hate it, but I definitely don’t really care much for it), Happy Feet is one of mine as well (although the penguins are pretty cute when they dance, so that’s a bit of a plus), the How to Train Your Dragon sequels (I really didn’t like any of them as much as the first one if I’m being honest), The Little Mermaid (I won’t deny it’s a classic Disney film, but it’s just not for me), and finally Trolls (like the Little Mermaid it’s the kind of movie I want to go out of my way to watch, it looks cute and all, but I don’t really care about it... also if it ain’t the Stone Protector trolls I ain’t watching, you know. I’m joking.)
Surprisingly I agree wholeheartedly with you, Brian. While I will say I like Despicable Me 1 and 2. And Secret of Nimh, I can't say that I would care to see them but once every decade or so. Oh and Toy Story 3 was the true ending to the Toy Story Franchise, hands down. Toy Story 4 should've been called Woody, because it only focused on him and didn't even have much for Buzz to say or do. I was totally disappointed.
Don't feel bad, man. I get you with Secret of NIMH. You're not alone in feeling the plot is everywhere. Animation is stunning, best hand drawn animation i've seen in sny film, but the story is lacking in consistency. The book is better, snd there's no magic stone or magic really involved. Very scientific, and overall good. Slso, Jenner wasn't meant to be an antagonist, they just needed one snd made him it. Which sucks, because in the book, him and Nicodemus are actually friends and once they have been genetically modified, he just has a different viewpoint and leaves. That's it. Totally recommend the book. It'll help you understand better what's going on. I personally feel the same way, this movie in my humble opinion is overhhyped. Ok, bye. Have a blessed day.
Five ^Animated movies I hate but every else seems to enjoy… let’s see 1. Sequels / Prequels that don’t need to exist (Examples being, the despicable me / minion franchise, Toy Story 4, Finding dory, Monsters University, etc) 2. Happy feet 3. Frozen 4. Family guy 5. The Beatles the animated film
The villain of Toy Story 4 should've been a Woody doll with a broken voice box who is voiced by Jim Hanks.
That actually would've been pretty cool.
@@teenagetails1763 I actually had a whole plot worked because Toy Story 4 disappointed me so much.

You absolute genius.
Agreed. I adore this movie but if you wanna know more, the book is where you wanna go
Brian ranting and still seamlessly going into mouse chirps and back to normal words is a level of talent I strive to get to
My heart dropped when you said you didn't like happy feet. I really understand what you mean by it. But I still like the general premise of it
happy feet is a guilty Pleasure of mine too. The Sequel is great (if not even better) than the first
My favorite Don Bluth movie or property will always be the land before time. Absolute classic! I can’t recommend it enough.
Brian! We respect your opinion fully! I grew up listening to your impressions!😄

@@n19ntendods I like Happy Feet as well, but I mostly remember Happy Feet 2
@@springheartedtigerI think Happy Feet Two is worse than the first film.
@@n19ntendods how come?
I'm with you on Despicable Me. I never understood why that franchise was so popular. I always thought they were just okay. This actually goes for most of the films from that studio.
Similarly, a lot of my friends really like Meet the Robinsons, but even as a kid, I just thought it was okay.
@BrianHullPlus, I respect your opinion on The Secret of NIMH!,
Jerry Goldsmith's music in this movie is incredibly awesome!!
Bruh!
I didn't know Robin Williams was in Happy Feet
Same, I remember seeing the film years ago, and I don’t think I had that knowledge
He voices Lovelace
@@Mooms And Ramòn.
9:41 - If me were in my house at night and started making that sound, I would actually think that it was a real rat...
I'm with you on family guy dude!
1. The Minions Movies
2. Chicken Little
3. The Super Mario Bros Movie (I thought it was too rushed, didn't like Peach's voice and Luigi wasn't in it enough. :( I did like Bowser though! )
4. Boss Baby (This is probably the only Dreamworks franchise I dislike completely. xD)
5. Wreck it Ralph 2 (not as good as the first. Also I feel like Vanellope and Ralph were way too out of character...)
No one loves Chicken Little, why do you think anyone does?
I'm totally with you on these, Brian. With the exception of Secret of Nimh, which I've never watched and therefore don't have any opinion on, I too cannot stand (or simply don't get) any of these movies/show, either. 😬
I was especially mad at Toy Story 4 beause it really did not feel like a satisfying continuation to what 3 did.

How you gonna say to should have ended at three if you haven't seen 4, dumbass? 4 is VASTLEY Superior to 3. 3 sucks!

Honestly, there’s some similarities between Happy Feet and Moulin Rouge:
-Both are jukebox musicals
-Both are co-produced in Australia (and made by talented Australian directors)
-Both feature Nicole Kidman
-Both we’re initially acclaimed and received a lot of attention at the Oscars only to be looked back upon as overhyped and overrated.
Brian, I think you should try Happy Tree Friends and see if you like it, and if you don’t like it, then that’s cool
It’s never too late to get started

@n19ntendods
Just watch the first 10 seasons of the Simpsons and call it a day, but expect the quality to start dropping in season 9 and 10.
Here are my thoughts on your picks:
Brian, you forgot Atlantis, you said, most people thinks that movie is underrated, but you put it in F rank in your Disney Movies Ranking.
The thing with Family Guy is it can be very hit or miss, and most of the hits are in the early seasons.
Here are my thoughts:
Ducky and Bunny were the only good thing about T. S. 4.
Dude, my sister's theory about CARS 2 makes the most sense: It's one of Mater's Tall Tales, just the Tallest Tale Ever. 👀

Your opinion on Family Guy is similar to mine on Stuck in the Middle!
If it wasn’t for Jeremy, Timmy wouldn’t have gotten his medicine.

Oooh such a fascinating list. Couple of hard disagreements here: I adore Nimh and Toy Story 4, but I understand where you're coming from.
Don’t worry, dude. I dislike Toy Story 4, too for the same reasons.
Frisby and the Rats of NIMH"
The necklace is not in the book, that was only added for the movie... I don't understand it either.
However to answer the question: the animated movies i don't like...(please no hate here) any of the Barbie movies. Maybe it was my age, maybe it was I preferred action figures to Barbies. The stories, the acting, the animation style...just didn't peak my interest.

***SPOILER WARNING***
No.
For me
1. The Black Couldron (Boring)
2. The Lorax (So Generic)
3. Toy Story 4 (Ruins Story)
4. Treasure Planet (Boring)
5. Titan A.E. (Boring)
I'm now really curious of Brian's opinion on one animated movie in particular. It's an old one. Watership Down. I haven't seen it in ages, but I remember it being extremely dark.

Happy feet was and is still my favorite movie this movie was my childhood and I loved Toy Story 4 I was satisfied with it.
1:40; Dude, me and you ... shake arms on it.
It’s not that I think it’s bad, but I wasn’t that interested in Simpsons.

Great video. I actually agree with your list. 😀
1. I'm not going to hold anything against you for hating the Secret of NIMH even though I love it and the other Don Bluth films in the 80's.

it's the other Don Bluth films I'm used to hearing them say they don't like lol
I agree with you on Family Guy. The humor doesn’t work with me either.
Also a movie I think is overrated, is Toy Story.

2. Toy Story 4- I AGREE WITH YOU! It SHOULD'VE ended with 3! I was greatly dissappointed when Woody decided to leave Bonnie behind (Maybe he'll find Andy in Toy Story 5?)
3. Despicable Me- Um.....this *maybe* be the one I disagree on with Brian. Well mainly because Despicable Me is my comfort franchise. But I've had bigger hype for other animated media so I'm not upset.
4. Happy Feet- TBH I barely remember this movie other than the part where he dances for a little girl lol
5. The Secret of Nimh- Never saw this movie

1. Frozen
2. Rick and Morty
3. Adventure Time
4. Open Season
5. The Road to Eldorado (I feel this one will get me the most hate)
6. SpongeBob Squarepants (I HATE THIS WITH A PASSION)
7. Avatar: The Last Air Bender and The Legend of Korra (It's a love hate relation with this series. Some things just really ruin it for me)
8. Madagascar
9. Trolls
10. Some Tim Burton movies. (Not all but a decent amount.)
Toy Story 5 is in development. I am excited but very wary.
I love what you do
Surprisingly I agree wholeheartedly with you, Brian.
Five ^Animated movies I hate but every else seems to enjoy… let’s see
1. Sequels / Prequels that don’t need to exist (Examples being, the despicable me / minion franchise, Toy Story 4, Finding dory, Monsters University, etc)
2. Happy feet
3. Frozen
4. Family guy
5. The Beatles the animated film
