@ I mean he’s obviously kinda freaky but I don’t thing any of us would be doing any better if we found ourselves in his position. He has sooo much knowledge but the emotional maturity of a teen, it’s just interesting to see someone like that interact with Jules who isn’t really a people person.
@geekademy Their interactions are not only quests, but a whole backstory being explained at the same time. Like how Solo explains how IT has it's own power source running separetely outside, completely hidden from the rest of the population. Then we see it in this episode when they shut the power off, IT stayed on.
Your thought that the book with the cipher being the pact instead of Wizard of Oz was my initial guess before they revealed the Wizard book in Bernard's desk. There's definitely a third person in silo 17. I think they have done a good job of balancing reveals with mystery this season. Acting has been top notch (not you "I only know how to emote anger" Common).
12:48 The deep downers are contributing paper for the messages in the rocket. Paper appears to be controlled items in the Silo. I think the one who said, "this is not much" is the paper maker. He appeared once in earlier episodes but I can't remember where.
A couple of observations: - The symbol delta (Δ) is widely used across various scientific fields to denote change or difference. Maybe the Legacy AI is informing the head of IT about a deviation from the most probable course of events as documented in "The Order." - I don't know anything about the bends, but I sure do know that an untrained person cannot hold their breath for as long while engaging in physical activity, such as swimming quickly to the surface from such a depth. The same cringe as with the non-spine-breaking cable. - When fake Solo was entering the vault pin, It was four digits, but Bernard is entering a six digit code. - I don't buy that the battery in that tablet is still working after 350 or so years. This is even more unbelievable than the cable and holding breath thing.
Just coz Juliette couldnt find food [in the time she spent searching before meeting Solo] doesnt mean there is no food. It's been pretty obvious since 201 that someone else was watching and sabotaging Jules, the cut rope, the rattle fan decoy/lure, the camera angles from above through shadowy gaps. I do like the split personality theory, but I find it unlikely. I think there's definitely another survivor or intruder in vault 17, someone closed the inner door of the vault after the exodus and everyone there on the day is dead on the floor. also re Solos true identity, I'm a non book reader but my prediction is that He was Russel's son, who ever he is, he speaks fondly of the real Solo and presumably Russel's son knew his fathers shadow....in an emergency Russel may have even broken protocol to save his life and allowed him into Vault. Why would he assume Solo's identity? until this week I assumed he was scared of some sort of recovery team from some of higher authority monitoring all silos, coming to retrieve the legacy archives. but now that we have confirmation the legacy is not just an archive but an ai, and seen it identify Lucas, we know that vault 17s Ai knows Solos real identity. "recovery team" was my guess for the other intruder silo17 till this week too, but the use of bow and arrow has me thrown. now im thinking it will be yin yang situation, Solo has been surviving all these years alone in the vault with all this food comfort and knowledge, while another survivor has been living a very different life for the last 3 decades.
I think that theblast few episodes in silo 17 have camera angels from high above looking down... like someone has been watching them the whole time. Possibly waiting for their chance to get to the vault. Maybe thats why Solo is also nervous to leave it for too long
My theory is solo is the sheriff's kid from episode 1 . I think he stayed back and didn't go out with everyone and took over the real solos identify and has just stayed to himself in the vault the whole time. I think they will show a flash back when the kids starts to fall back from the group going out in silo 17.
Since Bernard made a point that there are living quarters and plenty of food in the IT vault, I think we’re going to find out that someone has been living in the vault with Solo. That other person cut Juliette’s rope at the beginning of the season and also attacked Solo in this episode, because Solo was no longer following the Pact by dealing with Juliette. Also, Solo has to be the kid from episode 1, otherwise, why was that kid even in the episode to begin with?
In the book Wool by Hugh Howey, which the Silo TV series is based on, there is no mention of food being stored in the IT vault. The vaults in the book are primarily focused on maintaining technological infrastructure and containing sensitive equipment, but the specific detail of the IT vault having food is an addition made by the TV show for dramatic purposes.
I haven’t read the books, but at this point, I think the season finale is going to see the rebellion succeed and everyone about to go outside. Juliette is then going to return and tell them that it’s not safe, cut to black.
Go back to S2E1 Juliette walks through the green field area, there’s a small patch of plants that survived. There’s a lot of small hints both the way the scenes are filmed and objects like the axe and blood that somebody is there.
I thought that the Boom Cipher would be the Georgia Travel Guide for Kids, and the Sheriff still has it! Maybe the Sheriffs Department will help after all 😊
I agree. I saw that and immediately assumed multiple people were still alive but so far all we’ve seen is Silo and he apparently eats food from inside the vault. So, who is eating the food from the farm? Also, Silo is extremely paranoid about making sure he has locked the vault when he leaves it. He knows he isn’t alone in the Silo. Then when he panicked and kept entering his code incorrectly, he immediately assumed someone had done something to alter the code and asked Juliette “what did you do?”Silo knows Juliette has no clue about the Vault and its inner workings. So, who did he think entered the vault that had the knowledge to change the code and lock him out?
Can't the other person be using hidden passages and cultivating food with solar lamps in some part of the silo that is not submerged, or even coming and going between silos from the tunnels in IT etc? Not sure what is underwater but the doors being shut can prevent some parts to be breached and you can go there through the trash shaft or something.

I think Solo is okay. Seems like he is aware that others might be in lingering in the Silo. He’s been too guarded with the vault and to your point those bodies outside of the vault too. Seems like this isn’t his first rodeo to fight to protect himself and the vault
i looked at page 77 of the wizard of oz. Its where they come to a big ditch that divided the forest in half. only way they can cross it is for the cowardly Lion to put them on his back and jump over the ditch. Mecanical is like the ditch, the down deep. Knox kinda looks like the lion with his beard but thats just a guess. Juliette is Dorothy. Bernard is the great wizard. Tinman and scarecrow not sure.
14:23 that’s pretty obvious, both Solo and Kennedy both revealed on camera to other characters that IT had its own dedicated power line coming from the outside.

Not only does the previous judge make constant references to it, you have to look at the meta value. Its a book about a whole society that is being “duped” by a charlatan, manipulated. Ask yourself what kind of message would be so mind blowing that the judge wouldnt even share it with the mayor and only wanted to flee the entire place like that very same charlatan wizard does at the end of that book. I haven’t read any of the wool series but if i was gunna hazard a guess, they are probably all living some massive lie just like the people of oz..
I like your theory on Solo! I remember couple of episodes ago, when Juliette looked at the picture from his childhood or something, Solo got confused and it was clearly shown that he is lying.
It seems like they don’t know how to transition to new stories so they’re just going through every last atom of this one story line. I wish they’d have an actual reveal where we find out the rest of the world is totally normal outside the 50 silos. Or it’s a cult or whatever
i just subscribed a week ago or so great videos one point i would like to mention is early on in season 2 when solo showed juliette the harmonium/chalkboard room you see a whole bunch of 7 or 8 digit numbers going up by 1 each time and crossed out im thinking solo hacked into the vault not tricked the real solo just a theory or thought though
Why is nobody talking about the wizard of oz and maybe the book foreshadowing that everything is smoke and mirrors and Bernard is just a slave to the pact. Or that maybe Salvador Quinn is the Wizard and just making it appear that he’s more important than he actually is
@@geekademy this theory comes from the fact that when 'our' Solo was explaining where this nickname came from, he mentioned it was Russell's son who misunderstood real Solo saying 'I'm solo' (he meant he came alone to the party, and Russell's son understood it's how he's called). If you don't think Russell had a son, why do you think 'our' Solo came up with any Russell's son? That doesn't make sense to me, but I wonder what's your reason to think so

Solo appears to be a psycho, but his truth is sad and meneangful once revealed
