Not at all a metal fan, but this is one of the most powerful and moving versions I've ever heard. His voice is incredible, and his vocal skills impressive. One reactor pointed out his posture and diction, as well as his technique. He has obviously had extensive training.

He does an amazing performance of “Nessun Dorma.” Yes, he was classically trained, but he sings all genres.

This song has been special for me from the day I committed to now, but with all the versions I have heard, I never considered it a victory song until now! When all the verses are sung together, Dan takes you from humble broken new believe to powerful Spiritual warrior who has been seasoned through the fire of the Holy Spirit and transformed from a simple Believer into a triumphant Knower of God's promise. Breath control - Dan's father gave him that harmonica at a young age and he took to it like a duck to water. Harmonicas are used in C.O.P.D. as a therapy for expanding lung capacity. One as large as the one his father gave him requires more air than the child size ones so I would imagine Dan had a head start on breath capacity when he began his voice training. Loved your reaction. Dan also has a christian Rock band back in Brazil.

You really do need to check out his channel and all of the other covers he's done. I reckon either the Evanescence song, "Bring Me To Life" or "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" from Mulan would be an excellent place to start, but all of his work is just breathtaking...😁

EPIC rendition of a song we have all heard a million times. As he sang, as familiar as I am with the song, I still got goosebumps, chills and tears. He will bring many to God with this song. Boys got pipes and knows how to use them. I am more than a little bit in love with him.

Not a metal head so I wasn’t familiar with Dan Vasc. I was reluctant to check this out because I wasn’t up for someone screaming/snarling their way thru Amazing Grace, but dang, he has a gorgeous voice! I don’t even mind that he did do a little screaming towards the end.
Gotta note: he’s obviously very well trained-AND he knows how to do that screaming without shredding his vocal chords or he’d never be able to sound this good. Might have to check out more by him!

I just discovered him, too. I also am not at all a metal fan, so was skeptical. But I found this song stunning, just so powerful and moving. He has some non-metal songs that are just beautiful: Scarborough Fair, Love Me Tender and American Trilogy (Elvis, as tribute to his father) are just two I've listened to so far.
Same here. I don’t do metal. But Amazing Grace is a beautiful piece and I had seen a few reactors that I follow comment favorably. So I decided to go ahead and give it a shot and oh my word. This man is a powerhouse.
Metal's definitely not for everyone, but I do want to point out there's many types of metal, and many of them don't really snarl or scream that much. Dan mostly sings power metal which tends to deal with very high notes and some distortion/grit on powerful notes, but doesn't do many growls/screams at all. This is different from for example heavy metal which tends to have a lot more growing and screaming involved.
@@DreadKyller thanks for the information. No disrespect intended, I feel all music has value and speaks to someone. I just have my listening preferences. I absolutely recognize Dan's impressive vocal talent and skill, as well as his training. I've actually sung all my life (and I'm old!) and had formal vocal training, sung in college, church choirs and other groups, everything from Broadway to Mozart, much of it acapella. So, I don't put down any style of music. Not everyone enjoys what I do, and vice versa. There's music out there for all of us!
