And, what an outstanding performance - utter precision, control and enjoyment! Classical trained singer, possibly experimenting in this style - it works - more please!

I was a bit doubting to this in the beginning, but as they've been playing this song on the radio, I've fallen more and more in love with it. It stands out because of the opera and techno combination, and her looks are just amazing! I don't understand why so many people are asking if she's male! If men can have light voices, women can certainly have dark. And she has both!

@@Crustis her voice sounded weird in all the higher registers to me. lower it was uniform pure timbre and pitch, but at the higher pitches the vibrato was uneven and she either has a weird wobble or they are auto tuning this. which with the level of voice manipulation on other vocal tracks, i find it hard to believe hers would be totally pure. Which really calls into question how much of this was actually her imo
To the people that say she sounds like a man is because she is an opera singer. One of our best here in Sweden and you should know that's it's not that easy for opera singers to sing "normal", like in pop songs. I remember when she won and she is amazing, and sings really good in pop songs for being an opera singer.

...Singing across three octaves in perfect control of your voice IS special. A professional soprano is only expected to sing two octaves (C4-C6) to make a good living. For comparison - Hayley Westenra (NZ soprano) can sing F3#-D6, so slightly less range. And I expect that Malena can manage more, seeing as she was in perfect control of her pitch throughout.

My favourite song from this year's Eurovision, liked how the floaty choreograghy matched the dreamy quality of the song. Very hard to mix the pop and opera styles in a live performance - I think she did very well in this performance.

This is clearly the best Eurovision entry for a very long time, but unfortunately a lot of people don't appreciate the operatic style, and for that we can blame the crappy pop obsessed media. Her mad expressions together with the coloratura at 2:27 are excellent, reminiscent of the Queen of The Night from Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'.

Mrs. Ernman had the best and perfect voice in ESC 2009. Great performance I think.
