The ownership of physical media is the one advantage that digital content will never have and it’s I do prefer physical for ownership but I just end up buying digital for the convenience I wish laws would protect ownership of digital content
One thing smartphone camera will never kill is DSLR camera and lenses... Smartphone camera cameras are for the basic point and shoot while the DSLR is more professional and you need to know what to do ✌🏾
@@Sted1000 Yeah, smartphones camera will never kill profesional equipment, it did kill normal digital camaras. But majority of people were never going to be buying cameras of 500 dollars and up (an okaish dsrl camrera) and up alongside lense that can reach 3000 even if smartphone didn't have cameras.
Gmail technically killed the Hotmail brand, but considering that Microsoft just rebranded it as Outlook and Outlook is the most ubiquitously used email service by companies, they really didn't kill anything.
You are dreaming. Why pay fifty bucks for a book when you can pirate it for free and put it on your KOBO book reader? You can't do that on Kindle, which is why Kindle sucks
First off: smart phones killed the Mp3 player. Secondly Hotmail is essentially outlook now. The only reason I have a Gmail at all is due to Google requiring you to have one when they bought YT, but tons of businesses use outlook including Amazon where I work. And outlook is my primary email as well due to Microsoft owning Xbox.
@@BeastIsBlaze Yep, also outlook been integrated into office 360. Outlook is use quite a lot still and is the email my company uses. I mean it comes along with 360 package for company so kind of makes it default selection for mpst companies.
There are still portable hi res audio players such as daps aka digital audio players dedicated to audiophiles that listen to digital audio with micro sd card expansion to store music locally on the micro sd cards. There are artists that are still releasing there music on cassette tapes and music on vinyl records are still popular even though it's a niche hobby. There were blackberry phones running android with the keyboard built into the phone.
Cell cameras can't compete with a DSLR. Ya ya MP all you want. Have all of the megapixels you want, using a miro sensors or two doesn't come close to a 1/2 sensor. The zoom on a cellphone camera is just cropping and not the same thing as increasing the focal length that a real zoom lens does.
Apple didn't invent the MP3 player. They stole the patent and idea from Creative Labs who pioneered the MP3 player with their Creative ZEN player which is better the iPod
Spotify as the CD killer? Seems like spotify paid or something to be mention cause then it mention it was digital media and streaming (which came way before spotify came around). Why not just post it as 'Digital music kills CD' cause what streaming killed actual buying digital music as CD were already done by that point.
Blackberry didn't think that the touchscreen would become such a big deal. In that way they sort of killed themselves but it was iPhone that put the nail in the coffin
In a very near future, Nintendo killed Sony & Microsoft & Valve & all others. Only if their next console indeed is "Switch 2" and is much more powerful and yet affordable, it will crush its competitions since it's BC with the original Switch too. Since Sony & Microsoft are struggling with releasing 1-2 new games per year, while Nintendo will easily release almost 10 (more on some years) new games yearly.
Why would anyone get a Tesla? If you need to fill up, you drive to a gas station and fill up within a few minutes. An electric car, you'd have to first find a charging station and it takes forever to fully charge. I believe in saving the planet but electric cars are not the answer. 😂
People driving gas powered vehicles need to be a little more responsible. Don't leave your car idling in the summer to keep it cool while you run into the store and leave it running in winter to keep it hot. Your actions have consequences, despite Trump's terrible example. The world is on fire and no one can save it but you.

Kindle killed books? You're kidding right.
Right? I don’t know anybody who even owns a kindle lol
I still read mangas.
@@illiboi8072 Kindle sucks. KOBO book readers are vastly superior.
Sorry, but the iPod killed the Walkman, not the MP3 player.
They really said modern TV’s last longer than CRT TV’s 😂😂😂

14:04 if Facebook didn't transition into open space platform it wouldn't have killed it because I remember when Facebook was only for college students

Kindle killed books? *Scoff* Yeah, and Barnes and Noble has as many stores as Bed Bath and Beyond.

Agreed. Plus he mentions what Napster did, and then says Spotify came along, which was cheaper. NAPSTER WAS FREE!
Good list, but the Kindle and Tesla entries are simply wrong. I don't know if you put them on the list just to generate comments or what.
We still have one video rental place in the town I live which is Moe Victoria Australia. It was even used for a mini Series recently!
Will never be a fan of online gaming killing off split screen😢
Of this list, Yahoo and Google also killed AOL. Social media replaced using an AOL keyword. Technology keeps advancing so much.
iPod did not kill the MP3 player. The iPod was discontinued in 2022. You can still buy MP3 players.
The iPod simply moved onto the IPhone. Duh
Theirs a movie called blockbuster on Netflix?!
I think WM is intentionally making a few mistakes in their videos so they'll get more engagement in the comments.
This video has been made by a 12y old kid...most of these things are still alive and going strong ....
0:50 NOPE, Gen X I just got on Spotify in 2022 and that's just because I started building a smart home
Smart homes are great if you want the American government listening to every word you say in every room.
google chrome killed internet explorer
I thought iPod is a Mp3 player
iPhone didn't kill BlackBerry. BlackBerry killed themselves. BlackBerry just became obsolete much the same way that PalmPilot did.
Blackberry didn't think that the touchscreen would become such a big deal. In that way they sort of killed themselves but it was iPhone that put the nail in the coffin
All that trash occupying our oceans….
12:11 tools are buying Tesla. It's the iPhone of cars.
💩Elon Musk sucks balls💩 I pray that Tesla goes bankrupt and takes Elon down with them.

Get on board, or get out of the way.

Too many stupid cutaways to movie clips. Totally unnecessary
