The second point is so true. I recently his Diamond for the first time since first hitting Plat (peaking Plat 1 lol) in Season 7. Diamond has always been a goal of mine since I first started in Season 4 and I have gotten super close every season but finally I have hit it. I noticed games where I am influened by my laners spam pinging me to gank them and forcing a gank makes games super coinflippy because sometimes it works out great but sometimes it wastes 40 seconds of my time. I find that if I look for gank opportunities myself Im more likely 85%+ of the time going to succeed in a gank
I am willing to rank up only by playing with off meta jungle picks aiming for brand ap and mordekaiser tank. To be honest by praticing with them it's tottaly pure mentality of yourself to know your limits with them it's like the teemo jungle example people will say it sucks but still lose to him or get carried by. I've been playing league since around 2010ish shortly after it launched and have been playing more off than on these past 5-6 years until recently. I used to be a silver player but got sucked into the toxicity of the game and have been banned many times and even had to beg to a GM to keep my account which I've spent way too much money on RP packs so I ended up back in the lowest rank possible, Iron IV. Recently I've been taking a step back and noticed many things you stated in this video which only made my realizations more concrete. Muting teammates is sometimes crucial but I'm also fond of positive reinforcement. I will often start a game with chat unmuted and if things go south quick then I mute all, but if things are decent I will always congratulate players on kills or help with objectives. Muting pings when someone pings 5-6 times in a row constantly throughout the game led me to the "one and done" ping mute. This game is very mental and I try to only play 4-5 games at a time in one sitting but do take a small break here and there before putting it down for a few hours. I'd love to finally make gold by mid season and end with Diamond at least! Thanks for the Viego guide man. One cool thing about not playing for a long time is seeing all the new characters and learning how to play them. My all time favorite so far is WW and Sett though. Looking forward to Viego and Gwen is definitely fun as well. Going to take your advice and stick with 2 for the climb.
