The puffin can carry fish like that, catching one at a time becaz... it has a barb and stickers in its upper palate. It's tongue also has a backward pointing 'tongue spike' that would help in placing the fish side by side.
Puffins molt flight feathers when out in the north Atlantic in winter! And live 24 to 29 years. Birds are amazing creatures
