I've actually been interested in building Patrick Star for a bit. I would say as a secondary win, if I know I can produce infinite mana then maybe Walking Ballista? But great game everyone! My cohost introduced me to this channel, and loving it!
Hey Dan just a heads up on the description, it looks like the decklists were from the last video. Great video though, I enjoyed seeing the Starfish in action!
Love Ian's Plagon implementation. But I'm curious. In tournament settings, would Ian be able to walk back his comment "I will draw my deck" once he realizes that his wincon is exiled or the phrase "I will play all my permanents"? Doesn't appear that he has enough creatures without summoning sickness to kill everyone before his next turn and it may be difficult to get his cards in hand down to 13 exactly in response to the Triskaidekaphile trigger if he draws all his land.
@rcmemorysurfer1613 with the kind of language used here I don't think so, but there are situations where talking about what you want to do and taking actions are different things.
@@ModAnonMTG In general, people scoop whenever a combo lets someone draw their whole deck but it seems like some combos are so intricate that it risks timing out the pod if a player asks "how" and they actually have be played through, especially if it requires more than one turn. eg. Tivit Thanks for the response.
@@ComedIanMTG For sure. That might explain why I see people repeatedly examine their yard and circulate through their cards in hand in the tournament streams. BTW, it's great to hear you describe in your tournament recaps the points where you make deals and share info with other players. Too bad we rarely get to hear what people are saying during the events themselves.
Sure but words are free and don't cost mana or require you to have priority. If they realize I'm bluffing good for them. If they don't and change the way they're thinking about playing I get to effect the game without using any spells or mana
@@ModAnonMTGTbf a well timed snap cast in response to a ritual could interrupt flood caller. Because in order to get the mana you’d have to first deal with the bounce spell
@@chellthealchemist4751 if you can, sure. You would either need interaction or multiple rituals. I’m just saying if snap is all you got you can still find a window possibly

SHIELD SPHERE!!!!
Obviously the MVP of the game. 😂😂
you're MY absolute favorite person to play with
I think the decklists are wrong. It looks like lists from an older gameplay.
oops good catch thanks bud :)!

It wouldn’t be the language I use in a tournament setting.
I was being causal about it for the stream :)
Yeah Ian even responded to what do you want to do with “Uhhh idk” lol
