Back in the early 70s growing up on Ore. on my parents dairy, the forecast was cold and clear..got up @ 4 am to milk and found 3 ft of snow.if we knew it was going to snow we'd bring the tractor to the house and park it under the breezeway to clear the driveway for the milk truck that came every morning. The house was old, the heat was propane but upstairs had no heat. We'd leave the stairs door open ..it kept the ice off the inside off the windows🤣..if it got to cold is 5 kids would sleep in the living room The plumbing and electrical were on the outside of the house. Our 1st winter there was sadly interesting 🤣
"You have to build fond memories, no matter how miserable you get." is a quote that my aunt would often say. It's the unexpected and challenging that make for good experiences. Sounds like quite an adventure. I grew up not far from there in the Puget Sound region of Washington.
