No tightening of lock nut when satisfied with alignment, same as manual but the sawstop video suggests tightening the locknut, otherwise won’t it just vibrate out of alignment again? Thank you for your video!
i think your way can be faster if you get lucky with the adjustment, but it is a lot of trial an error. The sawstop way has you remove the motor cover for access to the alignment bolt, which means you can keep the blade on to see your adjustments in real time.
I have a Freud Industrial Glue Line tip blade as well. I’ve only used it a couple times but it seems good too. As far as I know the blade that comes with the saw is thin kerf, so should be no issue with the riving knife or splitter.
How do you like the forrest blade compared to the standard issue? Still ok with rips? Any other blade ideas your thinking about? I've a SSCTS as well and looking at a new blade.
I didn't actually use the blade that came with it. I put the Forrest in when I got the saw. It seems to work very well. Minimal burning ripping 8/4 hardwoods, no chip out on plywood. It's nice to not have to change the blade. If I were to do it over, I might get the thin kerf, but generally this seems to work well.
You can access the alignment block from underneath by removing the black cover. You don't have to remove the blade every time you make an adjustment
Thanks for sharing!

Cool. I'm considering a freud heavy duty or premier. Are thin kerf ok with the riving knives / splitter?

My Uncle works in a hotdog cutting factory and he says that these saws are junk!
😂
Did he stick his hotdog in front of the spinning blade, and no brake ?🧐
