- Hey everyone! In this video, I’m diving into Luma AI’s new image-to-video tool, Dream Machine, and comparing it to Runway and Haiper. I’ve been eagerly waiting for something like this, and it’s finally here! We’ll go through some tests to see how Dream Machine stacks up against the competition. Spoiler: it’s pretty amazing! I’ll also share my honest thoughts and opinions on each tool.
Don’t forget to check out my previous video for more examples of Dream Machine in action. Let me know what you think in the comments, and if you enjoyed this video, make sure to like and subscribe for more updates!
I have two things to note here:
1) You can run these attempts 12 times on any of these platforms and get completely different results each time, with 8 of them being absolute horrific fails, 3 of them just ok, and just one really nice one. A lot of hammering is definitely required to get what you're after, so when Luma states you get 30 per month, believe me, you're gonna eat that 30 up in no time.
2) I pitted Haiper against Luma on the same images and found that while Luma struggled to get me where I wanted to be, at least it got me there. Haiper was really good at making a mess every time, lol. You wouldn't believe the mess Haiper made of Bugs and Daffy every time, while Luma surprisingly made 1 horror show and two passable ones, out of three on each platform. Haiper IMHO would take a LOT more hammering to get there.
I just want to take a second to point out that since this video has been made Dream Machine has added a new feature where not only can you give it a starting keyframe but you can also give it an ending keyframe. This has given the outputs a huge amount of consistency.
Tried it but it didn't follow the reference images at all. How unfortunate.
@@famfandango I do have total fails from time to time. I find that there are certain actions that Dream Machine doesn't really love, like "jumping". I believe in the product because I'm batting around .750 when it comes to output, so I'm sure they'll iron all this out as they finish with the beta.
Love the AI generated voiceover lol.
My English is really terrible so trust me, I'm doing you all a favor!
@@pixeltaco idk, at this point in time i immediatly close a video when i hear ai voiceovers since they are usually massproduced garbage, and videos like yours get caught in that reflex
Wow that is good
@@JointManJoe I totally get that, even though I do spend a lot of work on each of my videos. So thank you for watching and taking the time to comment :)
An angry chicken lol. I needed that laugh for this Monday morning.
still, all pretty useless.
The easiest thing to create with Luma Dream Machine is too spinning waiting circles, regardless of your prompt.
It always get's those right.
Everything else it hallucinates into monsters. Want to have nightmares, plug in family photos or of your significant other
You just made Tom Cruise look "gayer"? More, gay? It truly is a fantasy maker. Eh?
For sure Luma gives a new level for ai generated video ! .. but when looking to their Term of uses regarding the work that you produce, you give them all rights ! Maybe i'm wrong, but that was my understanding when reading it ..
Can you also make this type of videos but showing us the prompts you are using ?
Sure thing, there will be a new video out in the coming days :) thanks for watching!
@@pixeltaco nice ! Thanks for sharing
in portrait example, if gen2 move a lot like dream machine the result may be the same, but in this example gen2 move too little, so it easy to keep consistency
Indeed. All these tools need to be prompted differently to stay consistent. And even then, results may vary :)
Awesome comparisons thanks
Thank you for watching!
Good work.
Thank you!
its a very nice tool
It is indeed. Let's wait and see how Runway's new Gen-3 will perform, that looks to be a solid contender as well!
