Hello Father Paul. Here is an issue that doesn’t sit right with me after studying the work of Fr. Seraphim Rose for a considerable amount of time. The “faction” of Rocor Fr. Seraphim Rose was apart of in “Old Rocor” was True Orthodox. We have your people telling us True Orthodox people that he was okay with you being in the antiochian archdiocese. They base this off of him giving communion to those on the New Calendar. I’ve read what he said about it. He said they weren’t getting the help they needed from their own bishops and priests and that decision was his to make on a individual basis. He sympathized but in no way was in support of the Calendar change and even told people to “Leave Global Orthodoxy if they wanted to remain Orthodox”. We have Archbishop Averky and Saint Philaret speaking out against the WCC. We have clear evidence that shows Fr. Seraphim’s support for the Catacomb Church and the True Orthodox of Greece. He did not consider either to be schismatics. I’m positive you know the history of what happened to Platina and with Rocor in 2007. I’m sure you are aware about the Anathema against Ecumenism. What’s the deal?
If we sit and dispute what he said and what he did, the ecumenists will win because the second coming will go right under and passed our nose. Do you understand that this is pure politics and the Abbot in his community will deal with whatever transpires on a need to know basis. The bishops are too busy with their politics instead of theology and the concerns of the flock.
