  • Hey everyone I hope you're doing really well I had a situation come up where I needed to buy a diagrander so I took a gamble on this Harbor freight brand central numatic composite air diagrader and it is item number 68831 and I do a semi comprehensive test and some thoughts on it and to be honest with you I am pretty impressed

Wow, it is shocking to see anything made in the USA, especially from harbor freight. Good review. I have the cheapest metal version and it works great. I don’t use it for cutting though, mainly for hounding out corner welds and hard to reach places.

I would do away with the swivel fitting and get a 10 or 12 inch flex hose with hi flow fittings so you can get all the cfm out of your compressor it will make a big difference on tool performance as well. Keep up the good work!

I'm impressed with the die grinder, I will definitely buy one. And those cutoff wheels are the bomb 💣

I have a couple of Mac die grinders, and a die grinder I bought at Lowes Kobalt brand I bought the Kobalt before I bought the Mac and the Kobalt does not perform as well as the Mac's on the same air source I prefer at least an Ingersoll Rand
Can't wait to see how this one performs

i bought this one in January, and by the end of March, with light use, it started to fail. wouldn't run at full speed and had no torque at all. i also have the cutoff tool based on the same design, and it is failing in the same way. this thing is a complete waste of money.

@@26feironworks79 another issue i had right from the start is that bits would get stuck in the chuck, and I'd have to tap it firmly on the workbench to get them to release. I replaced it with the "chief" brand, also from Harbor Freight, and that thing has been very solid. I oiled the Chicago pneumatic regularly, and it still didn't survive. No more composite air tools for me. Metal only from now on.
